Mack's heartbreak in Emmerdale as he hides his feelings

Mack's heartbreak in Emmerdale as he hides his feelings

Metroa day ago
Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) recently gave his wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) an ultimatum in Emmerdale. If she didn't give up her plan to be a surrogate for granddaughter Sarah (Katie Hill)'s baby, their marriage was over. And in coming episodes, as the plan moves ahead, their relationship is in the balance.
When Sarah had to have life-saving surgery that included having a hysterectomy, she knew that her dream of being a mother had been shattered.
Unable to cope with his granddaughter's sadness at a time when he was also grieving the death of his son Nate (Jurell Carter), it was Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) who first floated the idea of surrogacy as a way to help Sarah become a mum.
It was soon clear that, because of Sarah's life-limiting condition of Fanconi anaemia, surrogacy agencies wouldn't consider helping her.
Cain's one attempt at contacting a surrogate informally didn't work out either. So Charity came up with the idea of being the surrogate herself.
'Once she's set a decision in place she doesn't really back out of stuff,' Emma Atkins told us. 'She commits. She goes full pelt without thinking of any of the consequences.' So Charity went ahead and had the tests to see if she was suitable, reasoning that she could talk to her husband Mackenzie about it if she proved to be a suitable candidate.
Unfortunately he got wind of the scheme before that could happen, courtesy of Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) who was concerned that his grandson Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) was making a mistake by getting involved as the sperm donor part of the scheme.
Understandably, Mack was fuming. It wasn't that long ago that he and Charity lost a baby they were expecting when she had an ectopic pregnancy. In the wake of this he expressed a hope that they would try again, but Charity shut that down.
Now Mack has been left trying – and failing – to understand why Charity would go through a pregnancy for Sarah, but not to have their child.
Emma Atkins told us that Charity has some reservations, but prioritises Sarah: 'I think Charity just decides the best thing to do is back Sarah all the way. So you sort of see a lot of light and shade. One minute she's very for it, and the next minute, she's struggling with the obvious, with her health complications and her own as well being the age that she is so there's all of that.' For Mack, Charity's approach is incomprehensible. As she and Sarah get ready to go to the hospital for the procedure, he makes excuses and says he needs to work at Butlers. On his way there he bumps into Aaron (Danny Miller), who questions why he isn't at the hospital supporting Charity.

He urges Mack to go and talk to his wife about his feelings, so Mack rushes to the fertility clinic, where Charity tells him the procedure went well. The family are in celebratory mood, but Mack has missed his chance to discuss his feelings.
Later, Aaron again urges Mack to talk about how he's feeling to Charity, and when Charity is overwhelmed by too much TLC from Sarah and Jacob and sends them out, Mack grabs his chance to talk to her on her own.

Bonnie Blue dark secrets behind sex fame uncovered in new Channel 4 documentary

Bonnie has split from her husband and her closest friends seem to be Josh, who posts her videos, and a stylist. The dark secret behind Bonnie Blue's sex fame is reportedly uncovered in the new channel 4 documentary about her life. ‌ The pornstar hit headlines and stormed social media after her biggest event was in January, when she had sex with 1,057 men in 12 hours, the inspiration for the title of a new Channel 4 documentary, 1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story. ‌ At a screening of the documentary, Bonnie insisted she was 'very happy' with her life. But her notoriety, and her boasts of sex with married men, who, she says, should not feel guilty about cheating on their wives, come at a price. ‌ In the film, Bonnie, a 26-year-old former NHS recruitment worker from Derbyshire, whose real name is Tia Billinger, says: 'The last time I went out by myself was probably about six months ago. Now it is not that safe. I get hundreds of death threats a day, so it is not that safe when I walk around. 'I say, 'It is going to happen at some point, someone will come and give me stick ' and fair play to her, at least they are getting up off their sofa. My worst one is acid, if someone did acid, and I could see some spiteful girl doing that.' Bonnie has split from her husband and her closest friends seem to be Josh, who posts her videos, and a stylist. She says: 'My sort of circles got smaller, but my team are also my best friends.' ‌ Director Victoria Silver followed Bonnie for six months, gathering footage of her having sex, and was at her January marathon for a couple of hours, reports the Mirror. At the documentary screening, Bonnie expressed surprise at the amount of explicit footage used. Asked if she was expecting complaints, Victoria said: 'If I was making a film about a musician or some kind of other performer their work would be in there. I think it is important to see what she does.' Bonnie is clearly proud of her work. Of her sex marathon, she says: 'I love the fact that I was able to experience that day with over 1,000 subscribers, fans, people that spent time out of the day to come meet me. ‌ 'But, yeah, I also need money to be able to take time out of my days to be able to do that, to hold these events. These events aren't cheap by the time you pay for staff, security, the venue.' But she says she has earned more than £1million in some months, and the documentary shows the increasingly extreme lengths she will go to for clicks and views. One scene shows Bonnie at home with mum Sarah, who speaks with pride about how her daughter was a great dancer as a child. ‌ She also seems proud of her career as a porn star. She says: 'Would it be something that I chose for her to do, no. I was really, really shocked, but now would I want her to do anything else? No, not at all. It's her choice.' Sarah and other relatives have given up their jobs to be on Bonnie's payroll. Sarah says: 'People I know always liked us both, but think it's OK to make nasty comments. 'Most of the time I just laugh. I'm like, 'If you could earn a million pounds in a month, your morals would soon change, and you'd get your bits out'. I don't care what people say.' ‌ Bonnie says: 'My family started to put up with hate, I get that, but I also get the life I live and the money. So it's like I also want them to receive some of the rewards.' Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. The documentary ends as Bonnie is about to head to Romania to meet influencer Andrew Tate, who is facing rape and human trafficking charges, which he denies, and is a self proclaimed misogynist. Bonnie says: 'He's probably just as controversial as I am. Whether people love him or hate him, he's a marketing genius.' ‌ Director Victoria asks her: 'You talk about female empowerment, but how do you square that with aligning yourself with the most misogynistic male on the internet?' Bonnie says: 'Piers Morgan interviews serial killers all the time. It's not messed up his brand. He [Tate] has been labelled multiple things by the media, and so have I. We're probably the two most misunderstood people out there at the moment.' Channel 4 defended the documentary, telling the Mirror: 'The explicit content is editorially justified and provides essential context.' * 1000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story, Channel 4, Tuesday, 10pm.

Strictly star swaps ballroom for Hollywood with movie debut

Olympic champion and former Strictly Come Dancing star Nicola Adams has lined up her debut acting role in an upcoming Hollywood movie. Former professional boxer Nicola, 42, appeared on the 18th series of the BBC dance competition in 2020. She made history when partnered with professional dancer Katya Jones as the show's first-ever same-sex partnership. However, her Strictly dreams were cut abruptly short when they were forced to withdraw during the fourth week of the competition, after Katya tested positive for Covid-19. The two-time Olympic champ will now pursue another dream—turning her hand to acting in an upcoming movie. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. Nicola will star alongside Poppy Delevigne, Jack Kesy, and Bruce Willis's daughter, Rumer, in the allegorical thriller The Gun on Second Street. Talking about her career move, Nicola told The Sun: 'I just want to work with people that are just as hungry as I am. 'I'm not one of those people that just show up and just expect everything to be fine. 'I put in the work, I put in the graft, just as I do as an athlete as well. I want to take it as far as I can in terms of how I grow as an actor, being able to experience different types of roles, playing different characters that really flex my abilities and my ability to be able to dig deep on the emotions that are needed for the more dark characters.' Written and directed by Rohit Karn Batra, its story follows two police officers who are called to a domestic violence dispute on the titular Second Street in Philadelphia. The call-out goes awry when one officer accidentally shoots and kills the other. The film is described as an allegory about the gun crisis in America. At present, Nicola is listed on IMDB, although her character has not been named. Nicola rose to fame during the Olympics in 2012, becoming the first female boxer to win Olympic Gold for Britain. She went on to successfully defend her title at Rio 2016, before winning the title of WBO (World Boxing Organisation) flyweight in 2019. The athlete was forced into an early retirement that same year due to a serious eye injury, having only fought six times as a pro. She returned to the spotlight the very next year as a Strictly hopeful and has since expressed how much she'd love to return as a contestant due to 'unfinished business' after her premature departure. Of her decision to retire, Nicola said in 2019: 'I'm immensely honoured to have represented our country—to win double Olympic gold medals and then the WBO championship belt is a dream come true. 'But it's not without taking its toll on my body, and aside from the expected aches and pains, I've been advised that any further impact to my eye would most likely lead to irreparable damage and permanent vision loss. 'Boxing has always been such an important part of my life—and it always will—but after training every day for over 20 years, my body is quite looking forward to a rest!' More recently, Nicola is reported to have split from her partner of seven years, Ella Baig. The boxer began dating the OnlyFans model, 27, after they met on a night out in 2018. More Trending Now, the couple share two-year-old son, Taylor Nate, who was born via IVF using one of Nicola's eggs. A spokesperson told The Sun in March: 'Nicola and Ella have shared an incredible journey together, full of love, growth, and resilience. 'After much thoughtful reflection and important therapy work, they have made the difficult decision to separate. View More » 'Their priority remains their son, Taylor, and they are committed to co-parenting with love and respect.' Got a story?
