Billionaire Bill Gates goes incognito with new girlfriend as other Bezos wedding guests lap up the limelight
Gates, 69, and his girlfriend Paula Hurd, 62, played tourists in matching all-black outfits as they were spotted having a low-key date at the Gallerie dell'Accademia di Venezia, a museum full of 19th Century art, on Friday.
Despite being far away from Silicon Valley, Gates still looked the part of a tech entrepreneur and wore a simple black polo shirt with black shorts and a matching belt.
He also wore a black hat to protect himself from the sun and opted for comfortable sneakers to peruse the Italian city.
Hurd, who has been dating Gates since 2023, wore a simple two-piece skirt set and a pair of heeled scandals. She accessorized with an impressive set of diamond earrings, a diamond necklace and black sunglasses.
The pair looked relaxed as they enjoyed the European summer weather before hopping on a water taxi toward an unknown destination.
They were seen attending one of Bezos and Sanchez's wedding events last night, where they opted for elegant looks. Gates in a black suit, sans tie, and his lover in an off-shoulder black dress.
The pair have mainly kept a low profile while attending the flashy wedding of the year, unlike other guests who have lapped up their time in the limelight.
US First Daughter, Ivanka Trump, was so excited to show off her stunning Oscar de la Renta mini dress online that she sparked security concerns.
Among the many pictures of Trump in a textured pink mini dress was a photo of her hotel room and many worried online sleuths would be able to find out the location from it.
Bezos and Sanchez have already had to make a last-minute venue change due to protests from angry locals and global tensions arising from the US strike on Iran over this past weekend.
Other notable guests, such as the Kardashians and actor Orlando Bloom, also attended.
Gates and Hund went public with their relationship in February 2023 after he and his ex-wife Melinda Gates announced their divorce in May 2021.
The philanthropist, 60, revealed details of her separation from the Microsoft founder on her new book, The Next Day. The former power couple of 27 years divorced in 2021 after Gates' links to pedophile sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein emerged.
Melinda writes that she told Gates she wanted a divorce in August, 2020, and the two shared a long, sometimes 'tender' conversation, as reported by People.
'And then I got in the car to drive home,' she shared. 'On the way back, I pulled over into a parking lot and put on a Willie Nelson song we used to listen to together, Always on My Mind. I bawled, sobbing over the steering wheel.'
The pair looked relaxed as they enjoyed the European summer weather before hopping on a water taxi toward an unknown destination
Melinda also reveals in her new book that she started having nightmares of her family falling apart in the months before she decided it was time to separate from Gates.
'Bill has publicly acknowledged that he wasn't always faithful to me,' she admitted, noting the 'deeply disturbing' article that reported on Gates' meetings with Epstein.
The billionaire admitted to an affair with a Microsoft employee in 2000 and while the couple worked through it, Melinda said it left her struggling to trust him.
Gates says his dealings with Epstein were a huge mistake and added that he had no idea of the criminal behavior the financier was engaging in behind the scenes.
I knew, in that moment, that I was going to have to make a decision - and that I was going to have to make it by myself,' Melinda said about the moment she had a nightmare where she 'plummeted' into a void alongside her family.
The mom-of-three recalled how she and Gates took a trip to New Mexico together in February 2020 which she had initially planned to take alone.
On the final night, she sat the Microsoft founder down and told him she wanted to start living apart.
'It was one of the scariest conversations I'd have had,' Melinda wrote.
Her agonizing decision came in the wake of controversy over her ex-husband's friendship with sex trafficker Epstein, who was found dead in his jail cell while awaiting trial in 2019.

Love Island hunk sparks concern as fans convinced he's suffered painful injury – did you see it?
LOVE Island fans are convinced Conor may have suffered a painful injury before the show after spotting a clue on the show. The rugby player, 25, recently sparked concern after he showed off his pearly white gnashers while in the villa. 4 4 4 Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot a tooth missing from his upper right set and asked whether it might have happened on the show. One viewer wrote: "Not to be rude in the dental situation?" along with a picture of Conor and his missing tooth. But many fans took to reddit to explain that the missing tooth was likely a result of him playing rugby. This person shared: "Dental implants are very expensive and the process is long. He might not mind missing a side tooth which is fine! Genetic condition or a rugby injury perhaps? It's really not a big deal or anyone's place to judge." A second said: "He's played full contact rugby for years, I assume that was the cause. From following other players, they won't get a permanent fix until they retire from rugby because the chance is high it will just get damaged again." "Conor's teeth actually give his face character, they suit him. They are clean and look nice. Also he's a rugby player they tend to lose teeth it's high contact," a third commented. Another added: "He's a rugby player. There is literally no point getting your teeth done before you retire. My husband was missing his front tooth from rugby when I met him…I sorted that straight out ha!" While several other people defended the star's natural teeth. This viewer said: "It costs a fortune to get dental implants for regular people. He's attractive in any case. Better than the Turkey teeth." "I'd rather have real teeth like this than those piano keys the rest of them have got in their mouths," someone else fumed. Love Island star sparks fears she'll quit the show after tense bust-up saying 'she's going to walk' This person posted: "Teeth are unique to people? You're being rude. We don't all have turkey teeth! He probably lost it with rugby or whatever but yeah.. his teeth are unique to him." Conor's time in the villa hasn't been completely plain sailing after love interest Megan was dumped from the villa during a shock public vote. Since then, actress Megan has revealed that Conor slid into her DMs in the past. She told heatworld in an interview: "It's so funny, right? So on day one, Conor told me that he followed me on Instagram four years ago, and I never followed him back. "But then since coming out, I've seen that he follows me on TikTok and he's actually commented on one of my TikToks. "Again, I've not followed him back or even realised he had commented on one." She laughed: "So, yeah, it's nice that he's still trying four years later. "It's worked out for him now, I suppose." Eagle-eyed fans went wild over the theory that Megan and Conor knew each other before entering the villa - after photos seemingly showed them at the same nightclub. Old snaps show Megan with a pal in a night club, while another picture supposedly clocks Conor in the same club long before they entered the ITV2 dating show. The speculation comes after Megan was voted the least favourite girl by the public after an ugly split from Tommy. The Irish star was booted out the villa after finding herself in the bottom three girls, along with Shakira, Megan and Toni. The brunette bombshell's departure followed days of drama after she cracked on with Conor while in a couple with Tommy. 4

Charlize Theron, 49, details raunchy one-night stand with a 26-year-old in racy interview about her sex life
Charlize Theron revealed she's currently having the 'amazing' sex at age 49. The Oscar winner - who recently called out Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez for their over-the-top Venetian wedding - said she is having sex with a 26-year-old in a candid interview for the Call Her Daddy podcast. 'I've probably had three one-night stands in my entire life. But I did just recently f*** a 26-year-old and it was really f*****g amazing,' Charlize said. The mom of two added: 'I've never done that. And I was like, 'Oh, this is great. OK.' Charlize said that she is 'having the kind of sex I never had in my twenties or in my thirties.' 'That part has been really exciting. But I'm not missing a relationship. I'm not missing the partnership that I think you miss when you're me,' she said. When host Alex Cooper joked that the mystery 26-year-old man is probably walking different today knowing he was intimate with the Oscar winning actress. 'I will just say this, like I wish that, this goes back to, I think this is kind of like a thread throughout our conversation. Women who come across as confident, women who come across as outspoken, ones that wouldn't speak up for themselves tend to also be in bed, people who want to please males,' Charlize said. 'Like, and I have found this in my experiences with talking to other women about this. Isn't it strange? We should be the ones that are like, 'F**k you. I'm gonna have an orgasm.' And yet I, my whole life, was so concerned about...' Alex agreed: 'Same.' Charlize continued: Okay, so my advice would be this. Don't f*****g do that for two reasons. You're gonna have better orgasms and guess what? Your man's gonna like that.' She added that she 'found this freedom' in her forties. The star's exes include Stuart Townsend, whom she dated for eight years until 2009, as well as Sean Penn, Craig Bierko, Stephan Jenkins and Alex Dimitrijevic. Charlize is mom to two daughters: Jackson, 14, and August, eight. When asked about the next chapter of her life, the star said her focus is her children. 'I love my f*****g kids so much that they can never know 'cause I can't imagine my life without them and the idea of them not being in my f*****g house scares me enough to be like, 'Who is the sad man that I'm gonna f*****g catch in six years' and be like, 'You can have my whole closet. Just don't let me be alone in this house.'' 'Aside from thinking about that, I don't know, because work feels really satisfying. I really feel so blessed and so lucky that I get to do something every single day that I love that doesn't feel like work. I'm glad that I get to show my kids what that looks like.' 'To find something that you love that, if you can have a life where you don't feel like you're working, but you are working hard, that's a very rewarding life and not all of us get to have that, so if I can continue that and make sure that my kids are okay, like that's gonna be okay for me. I'm gonna be okay,' she noted. The Old Guard 2 star said she loves being able to parent her kids herself and have to run 'every f*****g thing by a guy.' 'I f*****g love that I don't have to do any of that stuff and my children, you know, we joke, listen. I think you tell this is how we raise my kids. We don't hide this s**t,' she said. 'I am raising, it looks from afar like I'm doing what I know, which is being a single mom because I was raised by pretty much a single mom, but I think I'm raising my kids as a single mom because of definitely avoidance of things that I know I don't want. Also understanding who I am fully and being honest with who I am and what I can give right now. And who I am is, at the time that I wanted to be a parent, was not somebody who should be having kids with another person,' she explained. Charlize said she's steered clear of dating and relationships, instead opting to focus on raising her children. 'This is like this moment in this time in my life now and I mean, I'll be honest. I have tried dating and I can tell that no man's moving into our house while my daughters are there and by the way, I don't think I can do it.' The actress added that she 'literally can't imagine a man moving into our house and me sharing my closet.' 'But then I imagine being an empty nester and how that part of my life will be, and by then feeling like maybe I will feel like I want to be in a relationship. There's this notion that somebody like me must be missing out on something and that people feel sorry for you somehow that you're missing out on love.' While she doesn't miss relationship, the movie star admitted to missing sex. 'It is the thing that you don't quite realize until you have kids and I'm not saying that it replaces one love or the other, but it is such a tremendous love that I do not miss love. You know, I might miss sex,' Charlize said. The award winning star said: 'I'm having the kind of sex I never had in my twenties or in my thirties, and so that part has been really exciting, but I'm not missing a relationship. I'm not missing the partnership that I think people think you miss when you're me.' She admitted to being on dating apps and that she isn't interesting in dating men in the industry. She revealed that her friends set her up on dates because 'apps are just horrible.' The screen star isn't interesting in marriage, due to her 'fear of not being able to get out of something.' 'Marriage is a long-term commitment and I think I want long-term commitment. I just don't need to get married. So I just wanna clarify that. I will tell you in all honesty and the work that I've done on myself, I think a lot of that also has to do with the fact that I have a tremendous fear of not being able to get out of something and that's again, me just understanding me, right?' 'And you know, now obviously by California laws, after seven years, you're in a f*****g marriage. Whether you walk down the aisle, sign a piece of paper, like it's 50-50 b***h. Like let's just be clear. So I am like, my semantics is like crazy, but I want, if I were to find a relationship, I would think of it as something that I'm aiming for for long term. I've never been somebody that really wants to like jump from one thing to another.' 'From the time that I was in relationships, I was in one relationship after another relationship after another relationship. And so when I earlier said, I'm having sex now for the first time, like I ever had before, is because I'm not in relationships. And it's not because I'm not, I don't wanna be in relationships, but I'm seeing things for what they are, right?' 'I'm not trying to force a circle into a square or whatever the f*****g American saying is, the peg and the hole and the, I can never say it right. But when I meet somebody, I can see where it's gonna go pretty quickly.' The South African-born actress also spoke out about an unnamed director that sexually harassed her during the early beginnings of her acting career. She went to his home for an audition, and she said deep down she felt like it wasn't right to audition at his home but since she was just starting her acting journey, she thought maybe it was a normal thing to audition at their house. Charlize said she still feels mad at herself for going and for not speaking up for herself at the time. She said she won't reveal their name because she doesn't want the story to be about him. The mysterious director reached out to her with a letter 'trying to explain his behavior' and that she 'must have misunderstood' what happened that night - after he heard her publicly talking about the incident. He 'panicked,' and wrote the letter, she said, because he was afraid she would name him. 'He started panicking. It was like waiting for me and I just realized like, I won't even say your name because you know, you're the scumbag. You know it's you and if anybody ever asks me about him, I would be completely honest and he knows that and I kind of like that. He's gotta be on a hot seat. He doesn't know when it's gonna come. I kind of like that a little more,' Charlize added. Call Her Daddy is available for streaming on all podcast platforms. Lauren Sanchez dress ‘goes missing' during Bezos wedding
A vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress worn by Lauren Sanchez during her wedding celebrations in Venice has gone missing. Jeff Bezos's new wife had 27 outfit changes over the three-day extravaganza, but one of the most prized dresses is now nowhere to be found. The gown apparently disappeared when the Amazon founder and his fiancée were exchanging vows and rings on the tiny island of San Giorgia in the Venetian lagoon last Friday. Insiders with knowledge of the event confirmed that a dress was missing, and that they did not know what had happened to it. No report has been filed to the police. For such a lavish event, organised by the world's third richest person, there were a lot of outfits and items that could go missing from time to time, a source said. There is confidence that the garment will 'eventually turn up'. An Italian newspaper claimed on Thursday that the dress had been stolen by a gatecrasher, an 'elegantly-dressed' woman who managed to sneak into the nuptials on Friday despite not having an invitation. Corriere della Sera also claimed that a second dress, worn either by Ms Sanchez or Ivanka Trump, had somehow burst into flames during the wedding celebrations on the island. Both those claims were denied by insiders. The missing dress is one of 27 outfit changes that Ms Sanchez reportedly went through during the lavish three-day event last week. In addition to witnessing the exchange of vows on San Giorgio island, opposite St Mark's Square, guests were invited to a dinner inside a cloister attached to a historic church called La Madonna dell'Orto the night before and a pyjama party the next evening in the Arsenal, Venice's centuries-old shipbuilding yards. 'Locked down' Mr Bezos, who is worth $234 billion, is reportedly now on honeymoon with his new wife in Taormina in Sicily – the picturesque town where White Lotus was filmed. They are believed to be staying at the San Domenico Palace, one of the locations for the second season of the hit HBO show, which satirises the lives of the ultra-wealthy. Protesters in Venice decried the extravagance of the event, which reportedly cost $50 million, and accused Mr Bezos of using Venice as a playground for the super-rich. They had warned that the lagoon city would be 'militarised' and 'locked down' by the authorities because of the high profile of the wedding couple and their guests. However, in the end, little inconvenience was caused to most residents and tourists, who would have barely known about the wedding if they had not been watching the news. Venice's mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, said he was pleased and relieved that the nuptials went well. 'We're happy that Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez chose our city to celebrate such a special moment in their lives. It confirms once again the universal appeal of Venice. This is our strength – to know how to be global without losing our authenticity. More than 600 couples – some famous, many less so – choose Venice each year as a place in which to marry.' 'The city was not locked down' Darco Pellos, the chief of police for Venice, said the authorities had struck a balance between allowing protests to take place while ensuring that the wedding celebrations went ahead without disruption. 'Those who wanted to protest were able to do so, the guests were able to attend the events without being concerned, and the city was not locked down,' he said. 'Locals and tourists alike were able to experience the city as normal.' The arrival of Mr Bezos's 200 guests was no big deal given that Venice is accustomed to absorbing more than 100,000 visitors a day, he said. He said he was relieved that there had been no untoward incidents – 'not even the throwing of a tomato.'
