Neale goals
The Lions can't find a tall target so their little champion Lachie Neale has roved the ball from a marking pack and snapped a goal.
The Saints have landed tackle after tackle but can't clear the ball. Finally, the Lions have made them pay for it.
Lions 7, Saints 0 with 13 mins to go in Q1.

The Lions miss Joe Daniher...
These early moments of the first term show how much the Lions are missing premiership winning forward Joe Daniher who retired after last year's premiership.
The Lions have had the better of the field positions and possession while they are regularly intercepting the Saints when they try to exit defence.
But they can't find a marking target and that is where they miss Daniher so, so much.
It's 8-1 on the inside 50 count according to Fox Footy, yet the Lions have just a point to show for it.

Who will respond? Lacklustre Lions or mauled Saints?
By Jon Pierik
The Saints have made their way out on to the field.
They need to show something today, having slipped since a 3-1 start to the season.
Defeats to GWS and the Western Bulldogs have been a reality check for Ross Lyon's men.
'I felt like we dropped our bundle ... yeah, it was a mauling,' a shattered Lyon said of a 71-point loss to the Bulldogs.
There are few tougher challenges than the Lions, who are stinging after their loss at home to Collingwood on Easter Thursday.
Coach Chris Fagan said his men had been 'lacklustre' against the Magpies. What will their response be?

Late change for Lions; subs named
By Jon Pierik
Brisbane have made a late change, losing key defender Jack Payne (illness) an hour before the bounce.
Payne has been replaced by Darcy Gardiner, who will play his first game for the season.
Midfielder James Tunstill will be the Lions' starting sub, while veteran Zak Jones will start as the Saints' sub.

AFL greats' lessons prep young gun for Brisbane test
After spending every day soaking up advice from two of St Kilda's greatest ever midfielders, Hugo Garcia is ready to test his mettle against the Brisbane Lions' champion on-ball brigade.
A youthful St Kilda outfit will attempt to bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Western Bulldogs when they host the reigning premiers at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.
Brisbane's midfield, headlined by dual Brownlow medallist Lachie Neale, Josh Dunkley and Will Ashcroft, is coming off a loss to Collingwood and will pose a stern test.
But it's not one Garcia, still just 19, will shy away from.
'It should be a good challenge for me. I like competing against the best - that brings the best out of myself,' Garcia told AAP.
'It'll be good to compete against a Brownlow medallist like Lachie Neale
'It'll be good to see what he does and hopefully implement that in my game for the future.
'Josh Dunkley is also one of the star players in the competition and Will Ashcroft's an up-and-coming young midfielder, so it'll be good to test myself against those players.'
Coming off nine games in his debut season under Ross Lyon in 2024, Garcia has appeared in the Saints' past six games, impressing through the midfield and averaging 16 disposals and four clearances.
He's got plenty of experienced heads to guide him.
'It's been great to learn and grow off experienced midfielders in there like Jack Macrae and Jack Steele,' Garcia said.
'They've really helped me develop and become a better footballer.
'Then on the coaching side of things, Robert Harvey and Lenny Hayes have really been helping me learn midfield craft and just getting better as a whole.
'We've got a really talented young group coming through to push each other every day.'
Growing up, Garcia admired Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury's composure, while he's reaping the benefits of reviewing vision with club great Hayes.
But above anything, he credits his improvement to hard work.
'It's a brutal competition and if you're not working hard and not trying to improve every week, you're not going to get very far,' Garcia said.
'I've just put in the hard yards and hopefully you reap the rewards
'A lot of us young players have really bought into Ross's system and had a really good pre-season. So it's good to see us young boys getting a crack at it.
'There's a real hunger within the group to earn a spot in the side and then perform to keep it.
'As each week goes on I think my confidence will keep building.'
St Kilda (3-3) have already claimed one big upset this year, beating Geelong, and are ready to take it up to Brisbane (5-1).
'We're very optimistic,' Garica said.
'We think that we can challenge any team in the competition.'
St Kilda have regained Dougal Howard and recalled Isaac Keeler while Liam Henry and Arie Schoenmaker were dropped.
Brisbane forward Kai Lohmann returns from injury in place of Sam Marshall.

St Kilda coach Ross Lyon carries Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera on his shoulders after Melbourne heroics

Not even the usually bristly Ross Lyon could contain himself as the St Kilda coach partied hard with match-winning star Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera after their historic comeback against Melbourne. The Saints stunned the Demons to overturn the biggest-ever fourth-quarter deficit in AFL/VFL history, erasing a 46-point margin at the final break to win after the siren on Sunday. At the centre of it was Wanganeen-Milera, who kicked the last two goals of the game inside 55 seconds, to finish his night with four goals and 34 touches. In a post-match function at Hotel Brighton, Lyon is seen holding Wanganeen-Milera up on his shoulders as they danced to blasting music, as his Saints teammates cheered. Lyon said a win like that can be something the club can build their brand around, despite another season stuck in the lower mid-table. 'At the end of the day, it's four points ... get a bit of belief and we all get together (tonight),' Lyon said. 'We're trying to build out the mortar of the club, we've got a family function at a hotel - we're all getting there. 'We'll enjoy each other's company but the stone-cold reality is in 24 hours you're preparing and it just keeps coming at you. 'But we did talk about the joy at half-time of playing footy, don't let it get you down. As a kid, you'd love to be here. We just dive into that space. 'Just the joy of playing football, let alone AFL football.' However, it remains to be seen if Wanganeen-Milera will stay a part of that club brand with the 22-year-old out of contract for next year. The Saints have offered a $1.4 million deal over the next two seasons, but Port Adelaide and Adelaide are reportedly coming hard for the South Australian native. And his price tag is only going to increase as he puts together more match-winning performances.

Melbourne captain Max Gawn shoulders responsibility for last-minute calamity in loss to St Kilda

Melbourne captain Max Gawn has shouldered the blame and conceded his side has forgotten how to win close games after a record-breaking capitulation against St Kilda on Sunday. The Demons, who led by 46 points at the final change, conceded nine goals in the last quarter as the Saints overturned the greatest three-quarter time deficit in history thanks to a Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera goal on the siren. In a wild final few minutes, Harrison Petty spilled a mark that would have sealed the match, and Clayton Oliver also failed to score anything from just 30m out. Wanganeen-Milera then took a brilliant contested mark and converted the tough set shot to level the scores with eight seconds remaining. The Demons still looked likely to escape with a draw until a costly '6-6-6' free kick and the confusion that followed allowed the emerging Saints superstar to run into space and take an uncontested mark as the siren sound. Gawn said the players chatted amongst themselves before they were addressed by under-fire coach Simon Goodiwin. 'We spent 10 minutes in the rooms before Goody called us in. We talked among ourselves for a little bit, and talked about the mechanism of the last play and tried to find out what actually happened, then Goody brought us in,' he said on Triple M. 'There's been five times this year where we haven't known how to win; Giants in the first game we lost by a kick-out, Collingwood we lost by a ruckman trying to kick a torp across goal, and then last week against Carlton we also stuffed up and I think there's a fifth one in there as well. 'So we're not knowing how to win in those close games. We do a bit of training in it, but right now, we don't know how to win in those close games which comes down to resilience and ruthlessness. 'We have to learn how to win. We will talk the talk again in training ... all our talk is there and then when we get to the point, and we don't do it. Now is our chance to do it, we've got West Coast and then three games at the G.' Gawn also shouldered responsibility for the calamitous final minute that saw the midfield group effectively allow Wanganeen-Milera to stream forward unmanned. There was a 60-second delay from when the free kick was awarded to when it was taken while the players on the field had to reset into their specific zone. While Saints stars Wanganeen-Milera and Rowan Marshall conjured up the match-winning play, Demons players looked confused and unsure what to do. Jack Viney was stranded on the wing and could have pushed up closer to defensive 50 and potentially filled the hole that Wanganeen-Milera ran into. 'I'm probably the only one on the field who knows that we got a warning in the second quarter, one; I can remember and two; they tell the ruckmen, it's a weird and unique thing in football where they tell the ruckmen,' Gawn said. 'We were about to step in the circle, and I realised we had about two or three seconds to find a winger; there wasn't a winger on the other side. From there, I probably didn't nail it. 'In the end, it's three seconds, so I don't have much time, but I sent (Jack Viney) to the wing and tried to get a forward in – but it was actually a back that we had too many of. 'I was trying to count as quickly as I could in three seconds. 'After that free kick happened, we probably didn't nail it as well.'
