In an interview with Self magazine, she had also revealed the importance of Pilates in her fitness routine. 'Pilates changed my body. I used to run marathons and I was never as fit and toned as I am now. I do it at a studio run by Saul Choza and I'm indebted to him forever because my a** has lifted. We do a mix of mat and reformer,' said the journalist.
Taking a cue, let's learn about the benefits
Physiotherapist Mayank Yadav said mat Pilates exercises are done manually, while reformer exercises are done with the help of machines and external equipment. 'For those with injuries or movement limitations, starting with reformer or other spring-assisted apparatus can provide the support needed to build strength and stability. As you progress and feel more stable, incorporating mat work into your routine can help develop a deeper understanding of the body and progress in the practice,' he explained.
Pilates focuses heavily on core muscles, which is essential for stability and balance. 'A strong core reduces risk of injury and enhances performance in other exercises like weightlifting, strength training or running. Since it also focuses on proper alignment and posture, it can help correct imbalances and change how certain parts of the body look,' he added.
Sanchez also believes in starting her days with a high protein kick. She has egg whites, sliced avocado, and coffee before taking a shower and heading straight to her errand of the day. On red carpets, she likes to keep her bottle of Fiji water and coffee close. Her pre-game routine includes brushing her teeth and carrying lots of mints, throwing light on the importance of oral health.

My reasoning is, I know people think because of the weekend, they can listen to stuff, and the streams go up. And the streaming people are like, 'Oh, the streams go up on the weekend!' But I think it's a lot of passive listening, at parties or people get the time to go to the gym, so they're not really listening.'
