Dave Chappelle is coming back to Abu Dhabi for another comedy gig
The comedy kingpin is coming back to Etihad Arena on Thursday June 27, for a show that's about to go down in Abu Dhabi's stand-up history books.
Last year, Chappelle kicked off the first-ever Abu Dhabi Comedy Week with a sold-out performance that drew over 14,000 fans – the largest comedy show the region's ever seen. Now, he's set to top it.
The legendary stand-up returns for a one-night-only gig as part of the Abu Dhabi Comedy Season, and it's going to be huge. Think biting wit, fearless satire and stories that only Chappelle could tell.
Whether you're a die-hard fan who's watched every Netflix special (shout-out to The Dreamer) or someone who's never seen him live, this is an epic chance to get those much-needed belly laughs in (ab workout anyone?).
And with presale tickets going live on April 15 and general sale opening April 16, you'll need to move faster than one of his punchlines to snag a seat.
This year's Abu Dhabi Comedy Season – running from April to July – is rolling out a heavyweight lineup of hilarity. We're talking Trevor Noah, Kevin Hart, Gad Elmaleh, Michael McIntyre, Gabriel 'Fluffy' Iglesias, Pete Davidson, Bill Burr and loads more still to be announced.
If ever there was a time to embrace your inner comedy nerd, this is it. But don't sleep on it – this show will sell out. You've been warned.
Price TBC. Thu Jun 27. Etihad Arena, Yas Island. livenation.me, ticketmaster.ae.

South Korea Bids Farewell to Squid Game with Massive Parade
Netflix hosted a massive parade in Seoul, South Korea, over the weekend to bid farewell to its globally hit series 'Squid Game', after the release of its third and final season. The parade stretched for almost a mile, featuring more than 450 performers, airborne displays of the show's iconography, pink-suited guards, a brass marching band, and a 25-foot-tall Young-hee doll with laser beams shooting from its eyes. The procession began at the Gwanghwamun Gate and proceeded into Seoul Plaza, which culminated in a massive fan party. The celebration featured the show's creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, and 25 of the most popular cast members from across the three seasons. The event features immersive video projects, Q&As with the cast, dance sequences, and an a cappella rendition of the Squid Game theme. Squid Game is a South Korean survival drama series created by Hwang Dong-hyuk. Premiering on Netflix in September 2021, it became a global sensation for its gripping storyline, intense social commentary, and striking visuals. The series follows 456 debt-ridden contestants who participate in deadly versions of children's games for a massive cash prize. Critically acclaimed and widely watched, Squid Game became Netflix's most-watched series at the time, amassing over 1.65 billion viewing hours in its first 28 days. It won numerous awards, including three Critics' Choice Awards, a Golden Globe, two Emmy Awards, and three SAG Awards, making history as the first non-English language show to achieve such honors. There have been reports that there will be a David Fincher spinoff of the series, while the final season made the South Korean series the first one to debut at number one across all countries where Netflix is available.
