KUWAIT CITY, May 22: The inaugural meeting of the Arab Equestrian Federation marked a significant milestone with the appointment of Kuwaiti international referee Nabila Abdullah Al-Ali as First Vice President of the Board of Directors.
The Kuwait Equestrian Federation's Board, led by Masoud Jawhar Hayat, extended its heartfelt congratulations to Nabila Al-Ali on earning the trust and confidence of the Arab Equestrian Federation's Board.
Nabila Al-Ali, a prominent figure in the equestrian world, was also elected as a member of the Arab Equestrian Federation's Board of Directors.
The Arab Federation is chaired by His Highness Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah Al Saud. The Board includes notable members such as Bader Al-Darwish (Qatar), Munther Al-Busaidi (Oman), Dr. Ismail Shaker (Egypt), Fareed Al-Subaie (Libya), and Fawzi Sahrawi (Algeria).
Under the leadership of veteran athlete Masoud Jawhar Hayat, the Kuwait Equestrian Federation proudly congratulated Nabila Al-Ali on her appointment as First Vice President and for gaining the confidence of the Arab Federation Council.

Al-Tarmoom secured the gold medal after setting a new Kuwaiti national record with a time of 28.21 seconds. The championship, which began yesterday, runs until the 22nd of this month and features swimmers from across the Arab world. Faisal Abu Al-Hassan, General Manager of Water Sports at Qadsiya Club, told KUNA that Al-Tarmoom's exceptional performance marks another milestone for Kuwaiti swimming. He expressed optimism for continued achievements that will elevate Kuwait's name on the international stage, reaffirming the club's commitment to supporting its athletes. Al-Hassan also noted that Al-Tarmoom recently won a silver medal in the same event at the Swiss World Open Championship.

MANAMA, July 19: Kuwait's national volleyball team will take on Saudi Arabia today in its second match of the inaugural West Asia Men's Volleyball Championship, being held at Isa bin Rashid Hall in Bahrain. The Group A clash is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm. as part of the tournament's second round of fixtures. Also in Group A, Qatar will take on Oman, while Group B features two matchups: the UAE vs. Jordan and Bahrain vs. Lebanon. The tournament officially began late last night, with Kuwait facing Oman in its opening fixture. In preparation for the championship, the Kuwaiti squad held an overseas training camp in Tunisia, where it played four friendlies—winning two and losing two. Under the leadership of Argentine head coach Julián Álvarez and assistant coach Zaid Al-Kazemi, the team aims to deliver strong performances and secure a spot in the semifinals. This first-ever edition of the West Asia Championship carries significant weight, as it is held under the umbrella of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), and its outcomes will influence international rankings.
