Doom: The Dark Ages Glitch Breaks Platinum Trophy

Yahoo12-06-2025
launched worldwide today, and PS5 players are running into a glitch that breaks the Platinum trophy. While it's possible to avoid the bug, there's no workaround at the time of this writing, and we can't confirm what triggers it.
As pointed out by PSNProfiles user and veteran trophy hunter Chaos_Bladez, the glitch stems from Doom: The Dark Ages' Berserker trophy, which requires players to acquire all Shield Base, Shield Rune, and Melee Weapon upgrades.
Players who buy the upgrades naturally while playing the game are unable to get the Berserker trophy to pop. The only solution available at this time is to wait until all upgrades are purchaseable, and then buy them all in one go.
Doom: The Dark Ages received a patch last weekend when reviewers had access to the game, but that patch did not fix the Berserker trophy. If you've already run into the glitch, we advise waiting it out until Bethesda rolls out a patch.
Those who've already purchased an upgrade or two, and are only just reading this, should probably create a backup save or start over if you don't want to wait for a patch.

An affordable 4TB PS5-ready SSD, indeed.

Posted Jul 30, 2025 at 7:03 PM UTC An affordable 4TB PS5-ready SSD, indeed. Lexar announced that its Play 2280 SE PCIe 4.0 SSD is available at Costco. New SSDs hit the market all the time, but I'm stunned by how affordable this one is. Costco members can snag one online for $224.99. For context on that price, Samsung's 4TB 990 Pro has never gone below $279.99. The Play 2280 SE supports 7000 MB/s max read and 6000 MB/s max write speeds. That makes it a touch slower than the 990 Pro, but you likely won't notice a difference on your PS5 (we didn't when we tested several options back in 2021). Curry's Epic Deals is live from £15 — 21 deals I'd shop now on TVs, Switch/PS5 games, appliances and more

Currys' Epic Deals is back! Now's the time to score some savings on everything from the latest and greatest TVs to appliances. Right now Currys' TV sale has deals from £89. You can even get £200 off our new best OLED TV — that's the LG 42-inch C5 4K OLED TV on sale for £1,199 at Currys. Or, if you're headed for a cookout, you can grab this Weber Compact 57 cm Charcoal BBQ on sale for £129 at Currys (£40 off.) My favourite Currys deals are listed below, so keep scrolling to see them all! Don't miss our Currys discount codes guide, either. PS5 game sale: deals from £15 @ CurrysSome of the best PS5 games are included in Currys' sale. You can snag titles like GTA V, Astro Bot, Spider-Man 2 and more. Amazon has a similar sale on with different check: from £15 @ Amazon Grill sale: deals from £19 @ CurrysCurrys is offering some big savings on grills right now. Brands on sale include Salter, Ninja, George Foreman and more. Prices start from just £19. Switch games: deals from £19 @ CurrysCurrys has Switch games on sale starting from £19. The sale includes titles such as NBA 2K24, Red Dead Redemption and more. Note Amazon and Argos have similar sales on with different check: from £19 @ Argos | from £19 @ Amazon TV sale: deals from £89 @ CurrysCurrys has smart TVs on sale for as low as £89. Keep in mind, the cheap TVs tend to be smaller, 1080p models (which are more suitable for a children's room or guest room). However, the sale also includes larger sets. These are among the cheapest TVs we've seen. Note that Amazon and Argos are holding similar check: from £99 @ Amazon | from £109 @ Argos For tasty results, give this Weber Charcoal BBQ a try. It's compact, measuring 57cm, but has space to cook for up to 8 people for those big family gatherings. There's even a space to hang the lid to keep it safely out of the way when you're dishing up. Note that Amazon and Argos are holding similar check: from £99 @ Amazon | from £109 @ Argos The Hisense U7N is fantastic way to lock down three important elements without breaking the bank: bright HDR performance, ample gaming features and an excellent display. In our Hisense U7N review, we shouted out this TV's 1,300+ nits of HDR brightness. Its Mini-LED backlighting is especially nice to have at this price point, along with its support for 4K gaming at 120Hz or check: £599 @ Amazon The S90D is one of Samsung's 2024 OLED TVs. The OLED TV features Samsung's new NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, HDR10+/HLG support, 120Hz refresh rate, four HDMI 2.1 ports and built-in Alexa. It also offers 4K AI Upscaling to ensure all programs are crisp and sharp. On the audio front, you get Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound Lite for 3D surround sound. Our Samsung S90D review said, "it offers the best bang for your buck."Price check: £849 @ Amazon Part of LG's 2025 TV lineup, the LG C5 OLED is here as the value pick of the year. Offering a slew of features, like a range of HDR certifications and gaming specs for the PS5 Pro crowd, the C5 proves a major improvement over its predecessor. We called it "nearly flawless" and gave it a 5-star rating in our LG C5 OLED TV review. Our JBL Go 4 review determined that this is the perfect portable Bluetooth speaker for those on a budget. Small enough to take traveling, it still packs enough performance to soundtrack small gatherings while bringing useful features like IP67 water and dust protection, and multi-point connectivity. Sony's budget buds don't skimp on the features. Battery life is a very solid 22 hours, they're rated IPX4 so you don't have to worry about sweat or splashes breaking them, and they offer good sound quality for the price. Looking for a top-tier Bluetooth speaker? Then meet the JBL Xtreme 3. Silly name aside, this is a powerful audio device delivering consistently strong sound, and 15 hours of playback time. It's also waterproof and dustproof, and comes with an included carrying strap. It's also got a built-in bottle opener which is rather novel. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are the best earbuds in terms of active noise cancelation performance. New immersive audio technology creates a multi-dimensional soundstage with proprietary digital signal processing software. In our Bose QuietComfort Ultra review we said that you'd be hard pressed to find a better choice for blocking out the world's sounds. It's only recently released, but the fantastic Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE is now £100 off! Not a bad price for a mid-range tablet that comes with an S Pen stylus and a splendid 10.9-inch LCD panel. Our Asus Zenbook A14 review had a lot of praise for this laptop, but we had mixed feelings about its price. Now that it's on sale for a discount, it's much easier to recommend. It's an extremely portable laptop thanks to its thin and lightweight design, its 14-inch OLED display looks incredible, and it lasted for 18 hours of battery life in our tests. The Lenovo Yoga 7 converts between laptop and tablet mode, with a 14-inch display that can reach up to 300 nits of brightness. This model comes configured with an Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. That should be more than enough power for multitasking and the 14-inch screen will make it a great option for your Netflix binges. The M4-based MacBook Pro M4 is pretty close to being the perfect laptop. You get fantastic performance from the M4 chip, useful Apple Intelligence features, a better webcam and obscenely long battery life (18:31). In our MacBook Pro 14-inch M4 review, we said it's the best laptop for power users, now with more AI features. The base model features a 14.2-inch 3024 x 1964 Retina display, Apple M4 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. Having a slow cooker is essential for making great food really easily, and the Crock-Pot CSC063 is a fantastic choice. It comes with a 7.5-litre capacity, digital controls with programmable timer and an auto keep warm feature that locks food at the perfect temperature for guests to scoop from! The Ninja FrostVault cooler keeps cans perfectly cold for up to eight days. It is also incredibly easy to transport despite having a capacity of 42L with wheels that make it easy to move. The Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven aims to offer low-maintenance cooking at a medium price point. The oven offers a sizable 12" x 12" cavity and is weather-resistant for outdoor storage. There's no sugarcoating it: this is an expensive product. But the Dyson Airwrap I.D. is technically six styling tools in one: an ionic jet hairdryer, two curling wands, a hot brush, and a hot round brush. It's super convenient as you don't need to lug around loads of different gadgets when traveling, and we found it to be both versatile and easy to use in our testing.
