Viral Costco cookie blends childhood favorites into one: 'Out of this world'

Fox Newsa day ago
Costco customers are going wild over an indulgent new cookie flavor that combines nostalgic flavors of childhood into one gooey and chewy dessert.
Kirkland Signature Marshmallow Crispy Cookies hit the shelves earlier this month and have gone viral, with members racing to the wholesaler to grab the 24-count box of cookies, which cost $9.99 in stores.
"To me, it's the perfect combo of a sugar cookie and a Rice Krispies Treat," Laura Lamb, the creator and owner of the Costco Hot Finds fan page, said in a TikTok video. "It's chewy but with a little crunch and just out of this world."
"Just got these and they're AMAZING," one TiKToker commented on Lamb's video — which got over 2 million views on the social media platform.
"This is enough to start my Costco membership back up," another said of the latest marshmallow twist.
"I work in the bakery," another person commented.
"They're SO good! At first, I was disappointed we didn't get s'mores back," she added, referring to another fan favorite.
Some lamented there wasn't a 24-pack of their beloved white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, while others stood by Costco's tried-and-true chocolate chip variety.
Others said they were a bit too sweet for their liking, while one man thought they'd be better with chocolate chips.
"Initially, when I first saw them, I actually thought that too, but trust me, they do not," Lamb replied to him.
Angela Ackerman, who runs the social media account Costco Guides, said she was hesitant about the new cookie option at first.
"I didn't know what to expect, but these are so delicious," Ackerman said in a TikTok post.
"They have a brown butter dough, marshmallows for chewiness and crispy rice cereal for a crunch for only $9.99. Grab them."
Another TikTok user described them as if "a Rice Krispy treat and an oatmeal cookie had a baby."
Hundreds of Costco lovers took to the Reddit forum dedicated to the big-box store to discuss the recent drop.
Some suggested popping the baked goods into the microwave or air fryer for a few seconds.
Overall, internet users were all for the trendy treat.
"Bought these once and can never buy them again … They are too good," one person on Reddit said.
"Straight into the top 4 best cookies of my life," another wrote.
The marshmallow cookies join a grocery list of other Costco items released this summer, including the Kirkland Signature Peaches and Cream Bar Cake and the frozen strawberry lemonade.

Bachelor Nation stars, including Gabby Windey and Nick Viall, are returning to reality dating TV as hosts of their own shows

Windey and Viall are among the the latest 'Bachelor' franchise alums announced as hosts of brand-new reality shows. What happens after you appear on a reality dating series? For these Bachelor Nation alums, the next step is to host one. In the past week, Bachelor and Bachelorette stars Gabby Windey, Nick Viall and his wife, Natalie, as well as Kaitlyn Bristowe and Colton Underwood, have all been chosen to host different reality TV dating shows for Netflix and Hulu. Bristowe and Underwood are the latest Bachelor Nation stars turned reality TV cohosts. The pair, who had respective stints as leads of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, were announced on Monday as the hosts of Hulu's upcoming reality dating series Are You My First? which follows a group of virgins as they journey to find a lasting romantic love. The show is set to premiere on Aug. 18, with all 10 episodes dropping at once. The Vialls, meanwhile, were announced as hosts of Netflix's age-gap reality dating series Age of Attraction on July 17. Windey, another Bachelor Nation alum who has emerged as a reality TV queen since her stint on Season 3 of The Traitors, will also return to the small screen, this time as the host of Love Overboard, a new reality dating series under Alex Cooper's Unwell Productions. Here's everything we know about these new dating shows so far. 'Are You My First?' First times, first loves and first heartbreaks are at the forefront of Hulu's upcoming reality dating series Are You My First? hosted by Kaitlyn Bristowe and Colton Underwood. Hulu's official synopsis of the show describes it as a 'groundbreaking new dating experiment' featuring 'the largest, hottest group of virgins ever assembled' as they 'search for intimacy, love — and maybe their first — in a tropical paradise designed just for them. For the first time, they're free to explore their connections without judgment, allowing these sexy young singles to embark on a heated yet heartfelt journey packed with romantic dates, revealing challenges, and new love interests eager to find 'the one.' Who will find that special someone? And who will go home hot, bothered and heartbroken?' Bristowe famously appeared on Season 19 of The Bachelor, and then once more as the lead on Season 11 of The Bachelorette. Underwood, before making history as the first lead in Bachelor franchise history to come out as gay, competed on Season 14 of The Bachelorette. All 10 episodes of Are You My First? will be released on Hulu on Aug. 18. 'Age of Attraction' Netflix announced that Viall and his wife, Natalie, who is 18 years his junior, are set to host an unscripted reality TV series called Age of Attraction. The show, according to Variety, will see a group of singles between ages 22 and 59 as they explore connections with one another to see if it's meant to last. The show, per Netflix, is described as a 'new dating experiment' that suggests 'it simply does not matter how many candles were on your last birthday cake or how few wrinkles have formed on your forehead.' Viall and Joy will help cast members 'search for their soulmates' and find out if 'age is just a number.' The eight-episode series, which was filmed in Whistler and Vancouver, British Columbia, is set to premiere sometime in 2026. 'Love Overboard' Windey, who made her Bachelor Nation debut as a contestant on Clayton Echard's season of The Bachelor in 2022 before costarring on Season 19 of The Bachelorette alongside Rachel Recchia, is returning to reality television — this time as a host. Alex Cooper's Unwell Productions has tapped Windey to host Love Overboard, a new reality dating series that takes place on a luxury yacht where contestants will compete for love and gain access to specific amenities based on how well their journeys are going. Hulu announced Windey as the show's host on July 14. According to the show's official press release, 'Get ready to hit the high seas with 'Love Overboard'! Step aboard the ultimate luxury yacht, where sexy singles are ready to mix and mingle … and find love. But there's a twist … gaining access to the yacht's extravagant amenities won't be so simple. As the journey unfolds, romance ignites; alliances form; and hearts are shattered. In the end, only one couple will reign supreme. Who will rise to the top, and who will be left stranded?' While an official release date hasn't been set, Love Overboard is expected to debut in 2026. Solve the daily Crossword

'Matt and Trey are singular, creative forces whose fearless humor and boundary pushing storytelling have made South Park one of the most beloved and enduring series ever — more popular today than at any point in its history, and one of the most valuable TV franchises in the world, says Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount Global and President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment. 'They are exceptional talents and trusted partners – we're thrilled that Comedy Central and now Paramount+ globally will be the home to South Park for years to come and our thanks to the Skydance team for their vital partnership in making this happen.' Adds Stone, 'Trey and I and the whole South Park crew are grateful for this extension and this deal. We want to thank Chris McCarthy and Keyes Hill-Edgar for years of great partnership and are looking forward to continuing to make South Park for the next five years.' Echoing his partner's sentiment, Parker says, 'We are grateful for this opportunity and deeply honored by the trust placed in us. This is about more than a contract — it's about our commitment to this organization, our teammates, and our fans. We're focused on building something special and doing whatever it takes to bring championships to this city.' South Park's Season 27 premiere was previously slated for July 9, but it was delayed until July 27 due to complications with the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global. At the time, Parker and Stone released the following statement: 'This merger is a s–tshow and it's f–king up South Park. We are at the studio working on new episodes and we hope the fans get to see them somehow.' An A-to-Z List of 300+ Scripted Series View List Best of TVLine 'Missing' Shows, Found! Jessica Simpson Hints at Her Divorce From Eric Johnson in the Lyrics to Her Latest Single

Gilbert Carrasquillo There's a very good chance that Jessica Simpson's ex-husband Eric Johnson is a having a 'Is this fucking play about us?' moment right now, assuming he's heard the lyrics to the pop singer's latest single, 'Fade.' Because they do seem rather pointed. The song begins with a bit of a body blow, with Simpson singing in the first verse, 'You can always say you love me/That doesn't mean that I feel loved/There's a green light in the distance/And all your words become too much.' She goes on to reference, well, us, when she sings in another verse, 'They're gonna talk, but it's not their business/The stars align and sometimes burn,' which seems to indicate that the track is autobiographical. And that makes this part: 'I want my heart to feel held safe/I know that home is a feeling/And not a place/Oh, there won't be a next time/Cause I won't break,' feel especially emotional because it seems to hint at what caused the split. On Instagram, Simpson wrote of writing the song, 'I was in a rough place when the day came around for this writing session, however I was not going to crawl under my sheets, hide, and cry. Instead, I chose to rise and shine. It immediately encouraged confrontation to heal a layer of pain.' And in a press release per Us Weekly, Simpson said, 'This song came straight from my heart.' She continued, 'I walked into the studio with tears still on my cheeks, and what came out was a prayer. 'Fade' is about watching someone you love slip away in real time, while trying to hold on to something that's already gone.' The track is off of Simpson's latest album, Nashville Canyon Part 1, which dropped on March 21, two months after she announced her divorce from Johnson. In her statement, Simpson said, "Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage. Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.' But while Simpson kept it amicable in her public statements, she's clearly been a little more candid in her song lyrics, and not just in 'Fade.' In the song 'Blame Me,' Simpson sings, 'Go tell your mama, your friends/All at my expense/I couldn't care any less if you shame me/Go on, blame me.' And in 'Leave,' Simpson sings about 'unholy matrimony' and even hints at infidelity. 'What we had was magic, now you made it tragic/Giving her what you gave to me,' she sings in the first verse.
