After completing 15 successful years, Indian Television's one of the longest-running shows, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has undergone a leap, and among the actors, Garvita Sadhwani, who plays the role of Roohi, was missing from the show. While loyal fans have been eagerly waiting for her return, the actress confirmed that she will not be returning.
Garvita Sadhwani Pens Heartfelt Note
Garvita took to social media to break the news to her fans. Taking to Instagram stories, the actress penned a heartfelt note, informing fans about her exit from the show. 'This is to confirm my exit from Yrkkh. Overwhelmed with all the love and acceptance you gave to Roohi—a fictional character that felt so real," she started adding, 'For 1.5 years, I gave my heart and soul trying to deliver the most honest performance possible… This was the most wholesome learning curve; I have grown as an actor and as a person, and I will forever be grateful for this magical journey."
Garvita played Roohi, the parallel lead at the show. As the show took a 7-year leap, the audiences were eagerly waiting for Roohi and her son Daksh to appear on screen, but unfortunately, she is departing from the show. Reflecting on her journey, Garvita wrote, 'For me, Roohi was an emotion, as human and as grey as it gets, but at the core of it, she was just a child full of life, ALL HEART. I had my ups and downs with this character, but I always saw her as a dark tunnel, but also the light at the end of the tunnel. Poetic, right? But as they say, all good things must come to an end… a BEAUTIFUL END."
She further thanked the entire Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai team and her fans who have been loyal to her since the beginning. 'Chale phir, milenge jaldi. In and as…" She concluded her note.

After Pratiksha Honmukhe departed from the show, Garvita was roped into the role and paired opposite Romit Raaj, who portrayed the character of Rohit. Her outstanding performance and screen presence captured the hearts of many fans.

Besides Garvita, the audiences witness actress Saloni Sandhu's exit. Saloni, who portrayed the role of Charu in the show, has exited, as her character was shown dead in the show, marking Saloni's exit.
