Boating, bathing in rivers banned in Peshawar
Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud said that boating and bathing in the rivers have been banned under Section 144. He said that Police and civil defense personnel will be on duty to enforce the ban.
In addition, orders have been issued to the district administrations of Peshawar, Nowshera and Charsadda to prevent excessive ticket collection in amusement parks.
Along with this, orders have also been issued to the police to ensure the security of amusement parks and prevent indecent acts. No amusement park management will be allowed to collect self-proclaimed tickets on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

More intermittent rains, windstorms likely
LAHORE: The more intermittent monsoon rains and windstorms with isolated heavy falls are likely in Lahore and parts of Pakistan during the first half of the current week. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal have penetrated most parts of Pakistan which would strengthen within the next 24 hours. A westerly wave has also affected most central, southern parts of the country. From July 6 to July 8, heavy rains may generate flash floods in local nullahs, streams of Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan and northeast Punjab. Flood situation in district attock: CM directs stakeholders to stay alert
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has issued directions to the administration and other relevant institutions to remain on high alert in view of alarming Indus River flood situation in district Attock. The CM has directed Rescue 1122, district administration, police and all relevant institutions to remain on their toes. She has directed that all sensitive places on the banks of rivers should be immediately inspected and if there is any possibility of danger over there, people should be immediately evacuated to safe places.
