As Prime Minister Narendra Modi completes 11 years of his tenure, senior Advocate and former President of Supreme Court Bar Association Adish Aggarwala has come up with a book capturing this journey.
The book titled 'Modi's Niti Shastra: The World's His Oyster' reflects upon the Prime Minister's transformative impact in politics, economics, social equity, citizen welfare, national security, and governance.
Home Minister Amit Shah praised the release of the book, calling it 'a matter of abundant joy" as the NDA government marks 11 years in power.
Shah also emphasised that the book provides a profound analysis of India's legal transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, highlighting the sweeping reforms that have reshaped the nation's legislative landscape.
Amit Shah, in his remarks, highlighted how Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance philosophy effortlessly integrates citizen welfare with the restoration of India's rich cultural and historical legacy.
In a Foreword to the book, Union Minister for Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal, said that it 'offers a profound perspective on the transformative journey of good governance under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji."
The book highlights the creation of of new Acts, significant amendments to existing legislation, the scrapping of over 1,500 obsolete colonial-era laws, and the elimination of more than 3,000 burdensome compliance requirements. These efforts reflect a modern, streamlined, and citizen-centric approach to lawmaking.

Heavy police presence as Jagan visits Nellore, his party alleges bid to stop him from interacting with supporters
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday began his visit to Nellore amid heavy police presence to meet former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy, who is in judicial custody at the district central jail. The YSRCP has protested and criticised the heavy police deployment, alleging that it was aimed at preventing Jagan from interacting with his supporters and the general public. Kakani Govardhan Reddy was arrested in May in an alleged illegal mining scam. Jagan is also scheduled to interact with Kakani's family members. The former CM will also visit the residence of former MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy in Nellore's Sujathamma Colony to meet him and his family. Prasanna Kumar was recently questioned by police over his alleged objectionable remarks against women TDP MLAs. There has been heavy police deployment in Nellore for Jagan's day-long visit, with officers saying they anticipate that some miscreants may cause trouble. On June 20, chaos erupted during Jagan's visit to Palnadu as YSRCP cadres and supporters tried to stop his vehicle to greet him, leaving two people dead, including 55-year-old Cheeli Singaiah, who was run over by Jagan's vehicle when he slipped and fell in front of it while trying to shower it with flowers. Nellore police have closed several roads, put up barricades, and advised against the assembly of a large number of people along Jagan's route. The YSRCP has alleged that the TDP-led NDA government in the state is misusing police to obstruct Jagan's visit to Nellore. YSRCP General Secretary S V Satish Kumar Reddy and MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy said that the government was trying to suppress democracy by issuing notices to over 2,000 citizens to stay away from the district central jail during Jagan's visit. Police said the notices were issued to YSRCP cadres not to create traffic disruptions and prevent overcrowding at the central jail to prevent any untoward incident. YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's government was rattled by Jagan's tours, which he claimed continued to draw massive public support. He also said there was widespread public dissatisfaction with the coalition government's governance in just a year of its tenure. He urged the government to significantly strengthen security arrangements for Jagan's visits, noting the overwhelming public turnout at these events.

Shiv Sena (UBT ) Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut said on Thursday that a terrorist doesn't have a caste or a religion. Raut was responding to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's 'A Hindu cannot be a terrorist' statement in Rajya Sabha a day before. 'A terrorist does not have any caste or religion,' Raut told news agency ANI, invoking Kulbhushan Jadhav, an Indian national incarcerated in Pakistan since 2016. "The people of Pakistan call Kulbhushan Jadhav a terrorist, a Hindu terrorist. We are not ready to accept it. The government should tell Pakistan that he is our citizen and get him freed," Raut said. Pakistan alleges that Jadhav is a spy for the Research and Analysis Wing, India's intelligence agency, and was arrested in the Pakistani province of Balochistan. The Indian foreign ministry says that Yadav was kidnapped from Iran and illegally rendered to Pakistan Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, speaking in Rajya Sabha on July 30, that Hindus 'can never be terrorists'. The home minister criticised former Union minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram for his assessment that there was no solid proof linking Pakistan to the terrorists who attacked tourists at Pahalgam, the home minister said.
