Aldi's gin wins double gold award, beating Beefeater & Gordon's – it's £15 less than other brands & makes a perfect G&T

IF you're a fan of gin and tonics, Aldi can guarantee you award-winning flavour for an affordable price.
The supermarket's own brand gin has received critical acclaim, taking home the top prize at the Spirits Business Gin Awards 2025.
Aldi's Haysmith's London Dry Gin, a 70cl bottle of which is available for just £16.99, and Haysmith's Raspberry & Redcurrant Pink Gin, £14.99, 70cl, both won gold at the prestigious ceremony.
The budget-friendly bottles outperformed luxury and well-known rivals such as Beefeater, Gordon's, and Malfy.
And considering these brands can retail at up to 47% more, the feat is all the more impressive.
According to Aldi, these drinks are "expertly crafted" and "full-bodied".
They are said to give the "perfect pour for classic G&T on a warm evening or a sophisticated summer cocktail".
"Everyone is looking for the perfect, refreshing gin and Aldi has delivered a gold-standard option that won't break the bank," the Haysmith's team said.
Haysmith's London Dry Gin
Aldi shoppers can save up to £15 on the classic Haysmith's Gin in comparison to the Malfy Gin Con Arancia, which retails for £32.
The Aldi brand is described as being "crafted to perfection" while boasting "soft pine notes, honeysuckle aromas, and a vibrant burst of lemon and lime".
It has been praised by judges for its 'spicy, peppery, and herbaceous' flavours.
Customers should expect notes of classic juniper and spice, culminating in a "beautifully dry finish".
Haysmith's Raspberry & Redcurrant Pink Gin
Meanwhile, the "bright and fruity" Raspberry & Redcurrant Pink Gin from the brand has "delightful hints of Eton Mess and raspberry ripple ice cream".
"This pink gin is perfect for an afternoon aperitif or a vibrant cocktail," the description read.
"We are thrilled that our Haysmith's gins have been recognised with not one, but two gold medals at the Spirits Business Global Gin Masters," said Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK.

And the gold medals weren't the only prizes taken home by Haysmith's on the night.
