According to a recent survey by US-based Pew Research Center, around two percent of Indians consider the US as India's biggest enemy, while 33 percent believe China is the prime nemesis, and an overwhelming 41 percent are of the opinion that Pakistan is biggest foe India is faced with.
This means that a combined 74 percent of Indian population considers Pakistan and its 'all-weather ally' China as the ultimate threat for the country. Why Indians consider China and Pakistan as enemies?
The feeling of hatred and animosity for Pakistan and China among Indians stems from historical incidents of deceit, war, and terrorism, that Beijing and Islamabad have perpetrated against India since 1947. India has fought four wars with Pakistan and one with China since independence as both countries maintain claim on territories within our nation.
Additionally, Pakistan supports, arms and fund cross-border terrorism that has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives in India in innumerable terror attacks over the last five decades.
China, a close ally of Pakistan, often defends Pakistan's stance on global forums like the United Nations, and has repeatedly used its veto in the UN Security Council to prevent sanctions on dreaded Pakistan-based terrorist leaders who are wanted by Indian law enforcement agencies.

West Bengal police launches helpline for migrant workers facing harassment in other States
Amidst reports of targeting of migrant workers from West Bengal in BJP-ruled States, the West Bengal police have started a helpline number for workers to seek assistance. Responding to the development, Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari shared his email-id and added that any citizen of the State who is 'harassed by Mamata's police' may reach out to him. The West Bengal police in a social media post stated that they are receiving 'reports from various sources that many people from Bengal, who have gone to work in other states, are facing various problems and instances of harassment'. 'If any citizen from Bengal working in another state faces any kind of trouble, we appeal to them or their family members to immediately inform their local police station. You may also contact the district control room,' the police said in the post. The West Bengal police in the social media post said that the helpline number is 9147727666 which will be available only on WhatsApp and the people can send a message there with the necessary information, including your name and address. 'Each piece of information will be verified, and we will coordinate with the concerned state authorities to take the necessary action,' the police said. According to West Bengal Chief Minister about 1000 migrants from the State were detained in other States. There have been reports of detention of migrant workers in BJP ruled states on allegations of being Bangladeshi nationals. Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari called the post by West Bengal police politically motivated to mislead Bengalis residing in various parts of India for work, so that they become alarmed and confused. 'Across the Indian subcontinent, Indian Bengalis and Hindu refugees are not facing any problems. However, Hindu Bengalis living in West Bengal are frequently harassed by the police. I appeal to them—and to Indian Hindus from other states, regardless of the language they speak, who are residing in any district of West Bengal for work—if you have been harassed by the police. This is the third time that the court has stopped Trump's order from being implemented. The court also said that the final decision on this matter will be taken by the Supreme Court, but until any order comes from there, this rule of Trump will not be implemented. When was the order passed? Trump had banned Birthright Citizenship by signing an executive order on January 20, the day of his swearing-in. A few days after this, the US Federal Court had stayed President Donald Trump's decision to end the right to birthright citizenship for 14 days. Earlier on June 28, the US Supreme Court had given a decision in favour of President Trump. The Supreme Court had said that the judges of the lower courts cannot stop Trump's birthright citizenship order across the country. They should reconsider their order. What did the US Supreme Court say? The Supreme Court had said with a majority of 6-3 that a federal judge alone cannot decide to stop policies across the country. Now if a case like Trump's order has to be stopped, then many people will have to sue together, not just one state or person. Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who wrote the decision, had said – the job of federal courts is not to monitor government orders. Their job is to resolve matters according to the powers given by Parliament. However, the court did not give any immediate decision on Trump's order and also ordered not to allow Trump's order to be implemented for 30 days i.e. till July 28. This means that for now, children born in America will continue to get citizenship, as they used to get earlier. Under which 3 situations citizenship is not granted by Trump's order? The executive order by which Trump abolished the birthright citizenship law is named 'Protecting the Meaning and Value of American Citizenship'. This order refuses to grant American citizenship in 3 situations. If the mother of a child born in America is living there illegally. At the time of the child's birth, the mother is a legal but temporary resident of America. The father should not be a US citizen or a legal permanent resident at the time of the child's birth. The 14th Amendment to the US Constitution gives the right to birthright citizenship. Through this, children of immigrants living in the US also get the right to citizenship. What will be the effect on Indians? According to the data of the US Census Bureau till 2024, about 54 lakh Indians live in America. This is about one and a half percent of the US population. Two-thirds of these people are first generation immigrants. That is, they went to America first in the family, but the rest are citizens born in America. If the Supreme Court gives an order in favour of Trump's bill, then it will become difficult for first generation immigrants to get American citizenship. However, if it gives an order against it, then citizenship will remain as before.
