Divyanka Tripathi
, who is known for her power-packed performances in shows like Dulhann,
Yeh Hai Mohabbatein
, The Magic Of Shiri, Adrishyam, tried her hands at hosting with
Crime Patrol
. However, the experience was not at all comfortable for her as it not only affected her mental but Divyanka also had
nightmares
. Divyanka and her husband
Vivek Dahiya
recently appeared on
Bharti Singh
and
Haarsh Limbachiyaa
's Podcast in which she shared her ordeal.
Speaking about the time when Divyanka worked as host on Crime Patrol, she said, "Main Crime Patrol anchor kar rahi thi. Kaafi saare episodes the,
Women Against Crime
ka ek segment tha. Mera condition tha ki sirf anchoring nahi karungi, mujhe kahaani bhi jaanani hai. Ab har baar pata chalta ki main kahaani jaanu, wahan ladki ghar se nikli haste khelte aur kuch ho gaya. Har kahaani pe woh horror tha. Pata chalta ki main anchoring ke script padhte padhte raat ko mujhe nightmares aa rahe hain, aur next din main headache leke pahunch rahi hoon shoot pe.
That happened for 3–4 months and it affected me.
"
(I was anchoring Crime Patrol for quite a few episodes, specifically for a segment called Women Against Crime. I had one condition — I didn't just want to anchor; I wanted to know the full story behind each case. Every time I learned the details, it would hit me hard — a girl would leave her home happy, and something tragic would happen. Every story carried a sense of horror. Slowly, reading the scripts for anchoring started affecting me deeply.

I began having nightmares at night and would show up on set the next day with a splitting headache. This continued for about three to four months and really took a toll on me.)
Divyanka's husband Vivek Dahiya shared his opinion and stated that during such times it is important for an actor to learn to switch on and off emotionally, "You have to learn a mechanism jahan aap poora mat daaldo. Ek switch-off karlo, he said."
Haarsh, who is a writer-turned-host, spoke about how doing comedy is a difficult genre, "Aadmi khushi ko kam hold kar paata hai, lekin dard kaafi time rehta hai. Ek joke mein baar-baar nahi has sakte, toh ek dukh pe baar-baar rote kyun ho."
(A person struggles to hold onto happiness, but pain tends to linger much longer. You can't laugh at the same joke again and again, so why keep crying over the same sorrow repeatedly?)

Shefali Jariwala once revealed her father was against her modeling, asked her to reject 'Kaanta Laga': 'He comes from a traditional Gujurati family... he set a condition'

Shefali Jariwala, famed for 'Kaanta Laga,' initially faced parental opposition due to her conservative Gujarati family's emphasis on academics. She balanced her passion with a promise to complete her education, earning a Computer Engineering degree. Despite feeling trapped at times, she acknowledged the importance of her education in shaping her life. Shefali Jariwala's rise to stardom began with the iconic remix Kaanta Laga—but her journey to the spotlight wasn't as effortless as it seemed. Coming from a conservative Gujarati family where academics were non-negotiable, Shefali had to fight more than just stage fright to chase her dreams. As she once revealed, the song that made her an overnight star almost never happened—because her father wanted her to turn it down. In a past interview with Dainik Bhaskar, she revealed that her father was firmly opposed to her entering the world of glamour and showbiz. Coming from a conservative background, he believed academics should always come first—making Shefali's choice to pursue acting a bold and unconventional move. The actress shared that it was only after she promised to complete her education that her father agreed to let her take up Kaanta Laga. With her mother's support by her side, she pursued her passion while staying true to her commitment. Shefali went on to earn a degree in Computer Engineering from Sardar Patel Engineering College and even became an IT professional—proving she could balance both ambition and academics. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo That decision turned out to be life-changing. Despite the fame and recognition that Kaanta Laga brought her, Shefali Jariwala admitted feeling trapped at times while completing her studies. However, looking back in an interview, she expressed gratitude to her parents for encouraging her to finish her education. That discipline, she said, played a vital role in shaping her life. Shefali passed away on June 27 following a cardiac arrest. Her final rites were held on June 28, and her ashes were immersed on Sunday, June 29.
