Nifty, Bank Nifty Futures signal strong upside as bulls take charge

Nifty 50 and Nifty Bank indices surged 2.1% each last week, supported by strong futures and options (F&O) data that signals sustained bullish sentiment. Nifty 50 Futures Outlook Nifty July futures closed at 25,750, posting a 2.2% weekly gain. This rally was backed by a sharp rise in open interest, which more than doubled to 151 lakh contracts—indicating a fresh long build-up. The July Put-Call Ratio (PCR) stands at 1.20, while the August contract is at 1.30. A PCR above 1 suggests stronger put writing activity, a common sign of bullishness. From a technical standpoint, Nifty July futures broke out above the resistance at 25,400, confirming bullish momentum. The next target is 26,500, and if this level is breached, a further rally to 27,000 is likely. Support Levels: 25,400 (immediate) 25,150 (21-day moving average) Strategy: Continue holding long positions in Nifty July futures with a stop-loss at 25,300. If the contract crosses 26,000, raise the stop-loss to 25,700 and book profits at 26,500. Nifty Bank Futures Outlook Bank Nifty July futures ended at 57,648, also up by 2.1% last week. Open interest jumped fivefold to 23 lakh contracts, confirming strong long positions. PCR readings for July and August are 1.10 and 2.20 respectively—both pointing to a bullish stance. However, the contract is nearing a resistance zone between 57,800 and 58,000. If there's a pullback, 57,000 can act as a buying opportunity before another upward move begins. A breakout above 58,000 can take the contract to 60,000. While 59,000 might be a minor hurdle, the current momentum suggests it could be crossed smoothly. Support Levels: 56,800 (23.6% Fibonacci retracement) 56,300 (next key support) Strategy: Exit the long position (initiated at 56,330) around current levels due to nearby resistance. Re-enter only on: A breakout above 58,000 – Buy with a target of 60,000 and stop-loss at 57,000 A dip to 57,000 – Buy with a stop-loss at 56,300, and same target of 60,000 Options Strategy: Exit the 58,000 Call (bought at ₹397) at current ₹706 levels. Consider buying an at-the-money call again on a breakout above 58,000 or a dip to 57,000. Both indices show bullish setups backed by F&O data, but traders should watch key levels closely for confirmation before entering fresh positions.

Servotech Renewable in focus on Monday as Coeus Fund converts warrants

Shares of Servotech Renewable Power System are expected to remain in the spotlight on Monday following a major equity allotment and expansion of its EV charging infrastructure portfolio. The renewable energy firm has converted 10 lakh warrants into equity shares, issued to Coeus Global Opportunities Fund, further strengthening investor confidence. The company allotted the shares at ₹83.40 per share (₹1 face value + ₹82.40 premium), receiving ₹6.25 crore or 75% of the issue price as upfront payment. This allotment is part of a larger preferential issue of 89 lakh warrants announced in January 2024. With this move, Coeus Global Opportunities Fund doubled its stake in Servotech from 0.44% to 0.88%, now holding 20 lakh shares. Consequently, the company's paid-up capital increased from ₹22.48 crore to ₹22.58 crore. Green Energy and EV Infra Drive Growth Servotech's growth isn't limited to capital infusion. Its subsidiary, Incharz (Servotech EV Infra), recently signed an MoU with Noida Power Company Ltd (NPCL) — a joint venture between the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group and Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority. The deal aims to boost EV charging infrastructure across Greater Noida, targeting corporate campuses, housing societies, commercial spaces, and hospitals. NPCL will assist by recommending strategic locations and liaising with power distribution companies to accelerate setup and reduce costs. Incharz has already installed EV chargers at two residential complexes as part of the initiative. Stock Performance Servotech Renewable has been on a steady upward trajectory: +21% in the past month +19% over the last three months +67% in one year Massive 2,300% gain over three years, making it a multibagger in the smallcap space Despite closing slightly lower at ₹147.50 on Friday (down 0.04%) on the NSE, the stock's fundamentals and long-term prospects remain strong due to its active role in India's green energy transition. Investor Note With increased institutional interest and a strong pipeline in EV infrastructure, Servotech Renewable Power System is likely to draw heightened attention in the coming trading sessions.

NSE to introduce liquidity enhancement scheme for upcoming electricity futures

The National Stock Exchange on Friday in an attempt to increase participation in the upcoming electricity futures contracts announced a liquidity enhancement scheme for the segment. In a circular on June 27, the NSE announced that the enhancement scheme will be effective from July 11. 'NSE is now pleased to introduce LES in Electricity Futures (Monthly Base Load) with effect from July 11, 2025, to encourage active participation and market development,' it said. The exchange — the largest in terms of market share in both derivative and cash segments — in May had received a green signal from the regulators to launch electricity futures contracts. The NSE has been focussing more on the segment, given the demand of power derivatives in the global market. Electricity futures are a financial contract whereby participants can lock the prices of electricity on a particular day for a certain month in the future. People who can trade in this future can include trading member, corporate buyer, generator, trader, or financial institution approved by the SEBI. No actual power is delivered through electricity futures. In its Friday circular, the NSE said that trading members who are interested in providing continuous quotes as Market Makers (MM) are required to register with the exchange. 'The exchange will appoint two Market Makers (MM1 & MM2) for Electricity Futures contract based on a competitive bidding procedure. The successful bidder shall be appointed as MM for a period of 6 months from the date of launch of LES on Electricity Futures,' it said. The interested people must register with the exchange by July 2, it said. In terms of incentives, Market Maker 1 will be eligible for a monthly incentive of ₹ 85 lakh, and Market Maker 2 will get ₹ 45 lakh provided they meet all quoting conditions. NSE specifies four criteria to become a market maker to trade in electricity futures: 1. Net worth of ₹ 5 crore. 2. No serious disciplinary action against the member in the last year. 3. Member should have algo registration in commodity derivatives segment. 4. The member (or group entity) must demonstrate a reasonable understanding, experience in or ownership of assets, companies, customers, or plants in at least one segment of electricity sector value chain, including generation, transmission, distribution, power trading, equipment supply, or Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC).
