"Alien: Earth" Trailer Is Here

FX has finally dropped the official trailer for for the sci-fi horror series "Alien: Earth," an eight-episode series serving as a prequel to Ridley Scott's 'Alien.'
According to the show's synopsis, The official series logline reads: 'When the mysterious deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth, 'Wendy' (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat. In the year 2120, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. In this Corporate Era, cyborgs (humans with both biological and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) exist alongside humans. But the game is changed when the wunderkind Founder and CEO of Prodigy Corporation unlocks a new technological advancement: hybrids (humanoid robots infused with human consciousness). The first hybrid prototype named Wendy marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After Weyland-Yutani's spaceship collides into Prodigy City, Wendy and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life forms more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined.'
The series stars Sydney Chandler as Wendy, Alex Lawther as CJ, Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh, and Adarsh Gourav as Slightly.
Other cast members include Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.
Though the world of 'Alien' is nine films strong with the release of Fede Alvarez's 'Alien: Romulus' last summer, 'Alien: Earth' marks the first time Scott's long-running sci-fi franchise is sojourning to the small screen.
The first season releases on August 12, though FX boss John Landgraf told Variety he's hopeful the series will return for a second installment.
'We're pretty bullish on 'Alien: Earth' and we've told him that assuming, as we hope, 'Alien: Earth' is a returning television series,' he said. 'We want him to focus on at least writing two seasons of it.'

Virginia Madsen Pays Heartbreaking Tribute to Late Brother Michael

Yara Sameh Virginia Madsen has paid tribute to her brother and fellow actor, Michael Madsen. The 'Kill Bill' and 'Reservoir Dogs' star died at 67 years old from what appeared to be a cardiac arrest, according to his representatives. Virginia is Michael's younger sister. The two supported each other's acting careers over the years and often showed up on the red carpet for each other's premieres. 'My brother Michael has left the stage,' Virginia wrote in a statement to Variety. 'He was thunder and velvet. Mischief wrapped in tenderness. A poet disguised as an outlaw. A father, a son, a brother — etched in contradiction, tempered by love that left its mark.' 'We're not mourning a public figure,' she continued. 'We're not mourning a myth — but flesh and blood and ferocious heart. Who stormed through life loud, brilliant, and half on fire. Who leaves us echoes — gruff, brilliant, unrepeatable — half legend, half lullaby.' Virginia concluded, 'I'll miss our inside jokes, the sudden laughter, the sound of him. I'll miss the boy he was before the legend; I miss my big brother. Thank you to everyone reaching out with love and memory. In time, we'll share how we plan to celebrate his life — but for now, we stay close, and let the silence say what words can't.' Michael Madsen was found unresponsive in his Malibu home on Thursday morning, according to his rep. His manager issued a statement revealing Michael was working on a new book, 'Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems,' before his death. The project is currently being edited. The two siblings appeared together as fictionalized versions of themselves in director Michael Mongillo's 2007 comedy mockumentary 'Being Michael Madsen.' The film included many of Michael's former co-stars, including David Carradine, Harry Dean Stanton, and Daryl Hannah. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean
