#CAFAwards24 Goal of the Year shortlist revealed with fans to vote for the winner
The shortlist created by an expert CAF Technical Panel features 11 goals scored in CAF competitions between January and October 2024, reflecting the incredible talent of players across the continent.
Voting opens today and ends on Thursday, 12 December, 2024.
To facilitate voting, CAF has created a dedicated platform available on the CAF website and official social media channels.
Fans can participate in the process and select for their favourite goal, with their votes counting towards 70% of the overall score. The other 30% is made up of the selections by CAF's Technical Experts.
Voting is now open HERE.
The winner will be announced during the glittering CAF Awards Gala, scheduled for Monday, 16 December 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco.
This category stands out as the only CAF award with input from the sporting public, emphasising the power of fans in determining the winner.

Amir Hagag Dutch football legend Ruud Gullit criticized the mentality of Hossam Ghaly, the former Al Ahly star and current board member, asserting that he does not have the right mentality. The TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) has emerged as a crucial platform for showcasing and developing homegrown football talent across the African continent. CAF to launch a new TROPHY for the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations ahead of this weekend's Kick-off
Published: Sunday, 29 June 2025 Ahead of this weekend's kick-off of the highly-anticipated TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2024 on Saturday, the Confédération Africaine de Football ('CAF') will launch a new trophy for the Competition as part of the effort to elevate Women's Football in Africa. The new TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Trophy will be launched on Wednesday, 02 July 2025 in Morocco, the host nation for this year's event. The new trophy is part of CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe's vision to grow and develop Women's Football in Africa. CAF will launch the trophy on its digital pages in the afternoon followed by an activation event with sponsors, TotalEnergies on the same day in the evening.
