Dothan Pastor arrested for practicing law without a license after trying to stop elections, DA say
DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A well-known Dothan pastor and civil rights activist turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest for allegedly practicing law without a license, according to authorities. Houston County District Attorney Russ Goodman tells WDHN that Kenneth Glasgow turned himself in on Tuesday afternoon and was taken into custody by Houston County Sheriff's Deputies. The warrant was issued for Glasgow's arrest after he filed a motion on Monday to halt the Dothan City Municipal Elections. Practicing law without a license is a misdemeanor in the state and is punishable with up to a $500 fine and 6 months in jail. READ MORE: Dothan pastor tries to halt municipal elections In Monday's filing, Glasgow claims that the Houston County Sheriff, the Dothan City Jail administrator, and the ADOC failed to identify still eligible voters in custody and provide them with voter applications or absentee ballots for the August 5 election.
