Yahoo19 hours ago
AC Milan is proud to reinforce its long-term commitment to natural comfort, innovation and sustainability by renewing and expanding its partnership with Clivet, which now becomes the Club's Official Climate Partner. The new agreement marks a significant step in the Club's ongoing efforts to reduce environmental impact and to create high-performance environments through sustainable solutions.
At the heart of this evolution is Milanello, AC Milan's iconic training ground – a symbol of heritage, excellence, and growth. A sacred place in the Club's history, Milanello is where legends are made and where the Rossoneri identity is forged. Today, it continues to shape the next generation of players, standing as a true temple of football that bridges tradition with innovation.

That temple is now ready for its next chapter, one made possible with Clivet, which becomes the first-ever Naming Rights Partner of the facility. Starting tomorrow, on the first day of training for the new season, it will officially be known as "Centro Sportivo Milanello powered by Clivet." Clivet brings a unique blend of innovation, efficiency, and environmental awareness, promoting healthy, high-performance spaces that place daily well-being – particularly that of athletes – at the centre, helping enhance performance. More than just a name change, this milestone reflects a shared vision for elite sporting environments where climate consciousness and excellence go hand in hand.
Rooted in shared and authentic values, the partnership with Clivet becomes a strategic collaboration to not only elevate Milanello into a healthier, more efficient space but also to develop forward-thinking projects dedicated to the well-being of people and the environment - both on and off the pitch. As part of the new agreement, Clivet also becomes the Sleeve Partner of AC Milan's Training Kit, with its logo appearing on the sleeves of the official training gear worn by the Men's First Team and Women's First Team, Milan Futuro, and the men's Primavera squad.
Maikel Oettle, Chief Commercial Officer of AC Milan, commented: "We are very proud to continue our journey with Clivet – a partnership that redefines how we approach our infrastructure, transforming it into an environment where performance and sustainability thrive together. Milanello is our temple of performance, and well-being is a key pillar of that. By placing Clivet at its heart, we are not only enhancing the quality of our spaces today, but also shaping the future of training, development, and climate-conscious excellence in football."
Massimiliano Venturi, Director of the Italy Business Unit at Clivet, added: "We are extremely proud to strengthen our partnership with AC Milan, a Club with which we share core values such as commitment to achieving goals and innovation. We believe that natural comfort is a key factor in sport as well: providing athletes with the right temperature and optimal air quality means putting them in the ideal conditions to express their full potential. This new chapter in our collaboration confirms our desire to contribute to the Club's success actively."

Clivet, a leader in heat pump-based systems for sustainable heating, cooling, ventilation, and air purification, has already played a key role in improving the environmental performance of the Club's infrastructure. The collaboration began before the official partnership in 2021, with early installations at the PUMA House of Football. Since then, Clivet's systems have enhanced air quality and climate control at Milanello, the Milan Futuro building, Casa Milan, and San Siro Stadium.

Toyota's New Engine Family: Here's Why Rivals Should Worry

Toyota's New Engine Family: Here's Why Rivals Should Worry originally appeared on Autoblog. Many of today's powertrain developments are in the electric vehicle (EV) realm, but Toyota is expanding the limits of gas-powered engines. The automaker's next-gen engine lineup includes 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter sizes, which are entirely different from its previous internal combustion engines (ICE), leveraging more lightweight and compact designs. Toyota's new 1.5-liter achieves a 10% weight and volume reduction compared to the company's current 1.5-liter, while the new 2.0-liter offers similar gains to the existing 2.4-liter. In turn, Toyota is able to increase fuel economy and lower emissions without sacrificing power. Still, this next-gen engine family's efficiency extends beyond increased mileage and reduced emissions into areas like vehicle segment versatility. Let's take a closer look at how Toyota is giving its rivals increased competition with the innovation of its latest engine lineup. Flexibility is a focal point of Toyota's next-gen engine family, with the ability to mount longitudinally or transversely and be placed at a vehicle's front or rear. This flexibility supports the development of future, sportier Toyotas, plus the seamless implementation of all-wheel drive (AWD), RWD, and FWD layouts. Toyota can utilize the 1.5-liter engine to suit classes such as compact cars and hybrids, while the 2.0-liter turbo could fit larger trucks, SUVs, and sports models. 'With these engines, each of the three companies [Toyota, Subaru, Mazda] will aim to optimize the integration with motors, batteries, and other electric drive units,' Toyota said in a statement, according to The Daily Star. Toyota, which owns about a fifth of Subaru and roughly 5% of Mazda, added that its next-generation ICE engine lineup will help decarbonize ICEs by making them compatible with alternative fuel sources, such as e-fuels (synthetic fuels) and biofuels. While smaller engines often evoke thoughts of slower cars, their installation in upcoming Toyotas enables lower hoods, which enhances crucial performance factors such as aerodynamics and contributes to improved fuel economy. The engines' design flexibility also opens the door to Toyota reviving fan-favorite performance vehicles like the MR2 and streamlining the development of the upcoming Celica. American drivers could even see the engines in Gazoo Racing models like the GR Corolla and GR86. According to Toyota engineers who spoke with German publication Auto Motor und Sport, the 2.0-liter is easily capable of exceeding the 400-450-horsepower figure of the mid-engine GR Yaris M concept, or over 600 horsepower with a larger turbocharger. Toyota's desire to expand the limits of ICEs arrives at a time when many automakers are reducing their investment in the technology. This decision from Toyota, along with its collaborators Subaru and Mazda, could pay off in a significant way by appealing to drivers who are not yet ready for full electrification, whether for reasons like lack of charging infrastructure or personal taste, but still seek improved efficiency. Drivers can also look forward to this ICE technology offering the ability to increase sports car mileage and reduce emissions while enhancing power. Many automakers have decided to stretch ICE production into the 2030s, but Toyota and its partners appear to have a leg up on competitors with this next-gen engine lineup offering innovation in the areas that matter most. New Ferrari Hypersail Project Will Be Like An Oceangoing Ferrari Hypercar From The Future

Construction of Ferrari's Hypersail project is well underway We all know the legendary Italian brands that produce some of the most revered fashion, cars, and yachts in the world. But Ferrari is different. Ferrari is a religion. And now that Ferrari has just introduced its new Ferrari Hypersail project, high-performance hydrofoiling sailboat technology might never be the same again. The Ferrari Hypersail project has just been introduced Led by Team Principal Giovanni Soldini, Hypersail is a research and development platform focused on offshore sailing onboard a 100-foot-long hydrofoiling yacht is designed by French naval architect Guillaume Verdier to stabilize its flight on three points of contact. Verdier's most notable innovation is the use of a canting keel as the support for one of the foils, with the other two contact points being a foil on the rudder and, alternately, the two lateral foils. Ferrari Hypersail's Giovani Soldini is one of the most experienced offshore racing sailors on the ... More planet 'Hypersail is a new challenge that pushes us to go beyond our boundaries and expand our technological horizons,' says Ferrari Chairman John Elkann. 'At the same time, it perfectly aligns with Ferrari's tradition, drawing inspiration from our Hypercar, three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Designing a yacht for offshore racing is perhaps the ultimate expression of endurance. 'Giovanni Soldini is a key pillar of this project, not only because of his achievements as a sailor but also his unmatched experience in yacht development and construction. The excellent teamwork between Ferrari and Guillaume Verdier is bringing into existence a unique boat that will fly across the oceans, representing a real opportunity for innovation in both the nautical and automotive worlds.' advance drawings of Ferrari's new Hypersail project 'I'm happy and honored to be part of this adventure,' said Giovanni Soldini, Team Principal of Hypersail. 'An exciting challenge, backed by a truly unique team that brings together Ferrari's excellence and the expertise of specialists in ocean sailing design. The meeting of different cultures and advanced technologies is enabling us to build a yacht that is revolutionary in many respects. 'From a nautical perspective, it's innovative in both its structure and how it will fly. On the systems front, Ferrari's contribution is driving the development of on-board control technology that has never been seen before. To prepare as well as we can for the variability and force of the phenomena and conditions encountered at sea, our top priority is to strike the right balance between the pursuit of extreme performance and maximum reliability.' According to advance reports the Hypersail project is aiming for close collaboration between Ferrari, its partners, and suppliers. This approach will be used to develop systems in the areas of aerodynamics, energy efficiency, power management, and kinetic energy. The Ferrari Hypersail project is being built now and will launch next year Technology transfer from the realm of Ferrari sports cars is also key. The yacht will sail with a flight control system developed from the expertise acquired in the automotive sector – employing aerodynamic and structural calculation processes designed to ensure performance and safety for a monohull that will sail across oceans for extended periods with no external support of any kind. The monohull is also designed to operate exclusively using renewable energy sources, including solar, wind and kinetic energy. There is no combustion engine on board, and all the power required to run the control and motion systems for the foils, keel and rudder, as well as the full suite of on-board computers and instruments, must be generated autonomously while under sail. Mama Mia! The prototype is already under construction and due to launch next year. Watch this space.
