Arguably the most Wes Andersony of all Wes Anderson's films, this whimsical doll's house of a comedy dramatises the contents of a fictional American magazine based in Ennui-sur-Blasé, France. Sections include Tilda Swinton's art critic profiling Benicio Del Toro's jailed killer turned painter, Frances McDormand's reporter taking in a May 68-style student protest, and Jeffrey Wright's James Baldwin-like food writer being caught up in a kidnapping. Gently satirical, with nods to the Nouvelle Vague, Jacques Tati and the New Yorker, it's a feast for the eyes. SW

Hangdog travelling salesman Cliff (Scoot McNairy) is struggling to get by when he bumps into ex-colleague Ricky (a smirking Kit Harington), his partner in an embezzlement scam at their old firm. Ricky offers him a simple job, driving drugs and guns from A to B – but, inevitably, there's nothing straightforward about it. Rod Blackhurst's foreboding thriller – all deadbeat motels and snowbound Montana roads – has pleasing echoes of Fargo, with Cliff finding reserves of cunning and stamina as his options narrow. SW

Sylvester Stallone is nobody's idea of an elite rock climber – those biceps would just get in the way – but suspension of disbelief is at the heart of Renny Harlin's precipitately enjoyable 1993 action thriller. Sly plays a former Rockies mountain rescuer who falls foul of bank robbers in search of suitcases full of loot lost from a crashed plane, with his outdoors expertise helping him to escape their clutches. Kudos to the stunt performers for the vertiginous climbing, jumping and falling, and to John Lithgow for adding a touch of class as the big baddy. SW

There is often a cruel, amoral edge to Michael Caine's most memorable characters, and Jack Carter in Mike Hodges's hardcore crime drama is a case study in cold-hearted revenge. Back home in Newcastle upon Tyne to find out who killed his brother, London-based gangster Jack rubs everyone up the wrong way. But will he get to the truth before the local mobsters send him packing, or worse? Hodges has a great feel for the working-class environment Jack moves through, setting scenes in pubs, racecourses, ferries and the bingo, as his quest gets ever more brutal. SW

It revolves round the nascent Arizona frontier settlement of Horizon at the start of the civil war. Folk for whom the dream of a town could become a reality – though the local Apaches have their own views on it – include Sienna Miller's homesteader, Costner's horse trader and a wagon train led by Luke Wilson's trail boss. Thomas Hardiman's one-camera whodunnit roams around backstage at a regional hairdressing contest where one competitor has just been murdered. As the stylists and models come to terms with the death, gossip and rumour swirl in the air alongside copious clouds of hairspray. The suspects include the dead man's main rival Cleve (a marvellously angry Clare Perkins), Darrell D'Silva's event organiser Rene, and Kendra (Harriet Webb), who may or may not have fixed the result. The single-shot technique keeps things bubbling, while the hairdos are suitably outrageous. SW

Disney forced to make change to theme parks across America
Fireworks have long been a staple of any Disney trip, but now the skies above the Happiest Place on Earth may be a lot less dazzling. The iconic nighttime displays have been put in jeopardy due to a controversial policy imposed by Donald Trump. China is a major supplier of fireworks to the United States, but with the steep tariffs imposed on Chinese imports, shipments are being heavily impacted. Walt Disney World is the second-largest purchaser of explosives in the United States, after the US military, per Disney historians and industry insiders, according to Inside the Magic. This includes fireworks for all four parks - Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Roughly 99 percent of fireworks used in the U.S. come from China, and tariffs were as high as 30 percent in May, according to The New York Times. Julie Heckman, executive director of the American Pyrotechnics Association, an industry trade group, explained: 'I would anticipate that most people are going to get a little less bang for their buck this year. She continued, per Red River Radio : 'I think we will see some product shortages. 'I would encourage customers to shop early for the best variety of product.' One insider said, according to Inside the Magic, 'Disney doesn't make their own. They buy them from various sources. 'Each week they drive out there and pick up enough for the next week's performances.' While Disney has not publicly canceled its nightly firework shows, insiders say supply issues are already forcing the company to quietly scale back some displays, swapping out full-scale pyrotechnics for projections, lasers and drones. The changes may be subtle to casual park goers, but longtime fans are starting to take notice. One avid theme park visitor wrote about the 'situation' in a since-deleted tweet alongside a video of the new display. Her clip compared the new fireworks to the original with notable differences, including the timing of the bursts, colors and patterns. 'With the current tariff situation, I fear we will never get the original flower burst back,' she wrote, according to the outlet. 'This is the replacement. It was breathtaking and seemed to continue to burst forever. There's a number of Happily Ever After updates that have occurred.'

"I don't want to look "done" or anything." Healthy diet Christie has been a vegetarian since she was just 13, and eats a breakfast of raw oats with berries and nuts every day. "For lunch, I go into greens and do a salad, then add a protein like a bean or nuts," she told The Cut. "Dinner is more of the same except maybe I'll put my vegetables on a bean pasta, rice, grain, or quinoa." She also limits her sugar intake, but is strongly opposed to dieting. Fitness regimen Christie is a huge fan of fitness, particularly spin classes and cycling. "When I'm in a place where I can get on a bicycle and just go for a long ride, I love doing that, but I also like to jump on a Peloton or to take a spin class of some sort,' she told People. "I do a 20- or a 30-minute class several days a week, and then I'll do some of the floor exercises and arm and core [the other days]". She also previously shared her love of yoga with Women's Health.
