Inside Bam Magera's comeback: Troubled Jackass star looks healthy as he plots to turn his life around
The 45-year-old skateboarder, once known for his wild antics on MTV's Jackass, has spent recent years battling addiction, legal troubles, and public breakdowns.
In 2021, he was fired from Jackass Forever after reportedly violating a wellness agreement tied to his role in the film.
Two years later, Margera was arrested twice—first for allegedly kicking his girlfriend during a domestic dispute, then weeks later for causing a drunken scene at a Burbank restaurant where his estranged wife, Nicole Boyd, and their son Phoenix were dining.
Following a DUI parole violation, he was released from prison in September and entered short-term treatment.
Now, fans are hopeful again as he stepped out Thursday night for the launch party of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, celebrating the reboot of the beloved game alongside Tony Hawk himself.
Not only is he featured in the upcoming release, but he brought along his new wife, model Dannii Marie, and the pair looked completely smitten.
The brunette beauty stunned in a sleek black gown as the couple posed for photos before heading to a private dinner in Los Angeles.
For longtime fans, the sight of Bam smiling and reuniting with Hawk sparked hope that the skater-turned-stuntman may finally be back on his board—and back on track.
Rumors had swirled for. months that Bam had been cut from the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 reboot—until a supposed last-minute intervention from Tony Hawk himself reportedly got him back in.
Even then, nothing was confirmed until Margera surprised fans by hitting the red carpet at the game's official launch, looking healthy and beaming alongside his wife.
Given Margera's troubled history with addiction—and his firing from Jackass Forever —many doubted whether Activision would want to work with him again.
But insiders say Hawk had the final word, and Margera had already been seen frequenting Hawk's personal skatepark in recent months, raising hopes for a comeback.
His appearance at the launch came just months after a turning point in his ongoing legal saga.
In September, following a DUI parole violation, Margera was released from jail and entered short-term treatment.
His lawyer, Michael T. van der Veen, told DailyMail.com, 'He is back on the road to his successful career and wonderful life with his wife.'
Van der Veen said Margera had passed all drug and alcohol screenings for over a year and was 'interested in getting better' and 'getting this case behind him.'
The court sentenced him to six months of probation tied to a guilty plea on two counts of disorderly conduct, with terms that included random drug testing and mental health treatment.
Following the plea, Margera told the judge, 'I just want to say thanks for this whole situation. It lets me clean up my life.
'It is a blessing in disguise.'
In an interview with MediaNews Group that same month, he added, 'With the path I was on with alcohol and drugs, I needed to hit some rock bottom to turn things around.'
The charges stemmed from a string of incidents in 2023, including an alleged physical altercation with his brother Jess.
Margera was arrested twice—first for allegedly kicking his girlfriend during a domestic dispute, then weeks later for causing a drunken scene at a Burbank restaurant where his estranged wife, Nicole Boyd, and their son Phoenix were dining.
Jess testified that Bam had punched him repeatedly and threatened multiple family members, including his girlfriend and parents.
'He was threatening everybody. The whole house,' Jess told the court.
'My girlfriend looked like she had just gotten back from Afghanistan, with PTSD.'
An arrest affidavit stated that Margera fled into nearby woods before he was apprehended.
Margera has struggled with addiction and been in and out of rehab since 2009.

Iconic 70s film star is unrecognizable as she wears shirt teasing her famous role in John Travolta classic
Fans of iconic '70s films were in for a treat this week when one of the era's most beloved stars was spotted out and about in New York. The legendary actress, now 74, rose to fame in the 1978 smash hit Grease - and on Tuesday, was seen running errands on a sunny afternoon, dressed in a laid-back ensemble. But eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the pink polo she was wearing — an obvious nod to her days as one of the Pink Ladies, the girl gang from Rydell High, where John Travolta 's Danny Zuko and Olivia Newton-John 's Sandy Olsson made movie magic. Even the most die-hard fans might also recognize her from her run as Denise on the sitcom Benson from 1981 to 1984. She also starred alongside Ringo Starr on the beloved children's show Shining Time Station. So, can you guess who she is? It's Didi Conn! The screen icon played Frenchy in the hit musical. Back in 2018, Didi spoke with Daily Mail about the wild behind-the-scenes moments from that unforgettable summer in 1977 when they filmed the movie. She revealed that Travolta had a well-known crush on co-star Newton-John and recalled how Stockard Channing's special brownies hilariously blurred her memories of the film's wrap party. Didi discussed heartthrob John's no-so-secret infatuation with Aussie beauty Olivia while they filmed the iconic film, noting that a then 23-year-old John—fresh off his Welcome Home, Kotter! fame—didn't have to fake his attraction for 29-year-old hitmaker Olivia. The pair's electric chemistry was palpable for filmgoers as they played smitten teens Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson, and Didi has now revealed that the film's new release showcases their natural energy with an extra special ending that sees the pair sharing a 'juicy' kiss. 'Oh yeah [he did fancy her],' she shared. 'What was so much fun was that most of us were older than the characters we were playing so we just stayed in character all day long. So there was an ongoing improvisation happening so the flirting, let's just say the flirting, was fine, it was in the context of the characters and the storyline.' Playing characters close to their real ages meant the cast never fully broke character, experiencing true coming-of-age moments—none more memorable than at the film's wrap party. The star, who later revisited her role in Grease 2, admitted that she remembers little of the star-studded bash after co-star Stockard Channing made the cast some 'special brownies' that left her giggling on the floor. Fans were quick to notice the pink polo she was wearing — an obvious nod to her days as one of the Pink Ladies, the sassy girl gang from Rydell High She said: 'I don't remember much about the wrap party because Stockard Channing gave everybody some brownie she made. 'I really don't remember much, just dancing and lying on the floor laughing with everybody.' And that wild streak was apparent throughout the entirety of filming as she revealed that the party never stopped after the cameras stopped rolling. 'Let's just say some of the trailers were rocking and rolling during filming,' she shared. 'There was. Y'know I played Frenchy and Frenchy is a good friend so she wouldn't tell.'

I married an older man for his money, I planned to milk him dry but now we're in love – trolls still don't believe me
AFTER matching with a sugar daddy online, one woman was shocked when their relationship turned from financial support into true love. Carrie, 31, matched with her soon-to-be husband on Tinder, planning to "milk him dry". 2 And while 64-year-old Randy admits he knew her intentions were financially motivated, he set out to change her priorities. With Randy hoping for love and Carrie simply seeking a sugar daddy, he joked that they would "see who comes out on top". And as it turns out, Carrie was able to "get the bag" while also falling in love. "Randy started off as my sugar daddy and now we're in love so I'm finally marrying my sugar daddy," she explained on the Truly Show. The couple first met on Tinder five years ago, with Carrie openly seeking financial help and Randy, fresh from a 25 year marriage adament to never marry again. Thinking they were both in the relationship for a fun time, not a long time, Carrie admits: "My first intention was to milk him dry." But when Randy told her to give him a month to change her life, she decided to take a chance. Randy claims he fell in love with his fiance within six months, and soon changed his mind on marriage. And despite people calling Carrie a gold digger, Randy said her honesty about her financial situation only attracted him more. Now, she calls him her "first and last sugar daddy", joking that she gets him a pack of gum for special occasions while he lavishes her with whatever she wants. I'm 32 years younger than my man - his son's only 2 years older than me & trolls call me a gold digger but we're in love Randy revealed that the most expensive thing he has ever purchased for Carrie was her engagement ring, popping the question in Vegas. And while he originally intended to elope on that same trip, the couple are now planning a big wedding with no budget. With no wedding date in place as of yet, the couple are enjoying the engagement phase, with Carrie already having signed a prenup. Randy shared that his bride is already in his will anyway. And when it comes to haters, the couple said they don't care as they are "having a blast". A-list age gap relationships that have stood the test of time Kris Jenner & Corey Gamble - 25 years The Kardashian matriarch, 69, met her younger man, 44, at a mutual friend's 40th birthday party in Ibiza. They've been together since August 2014. Sam & Aaron Taylor-Johnson - 23 years The director, 57, and actor, 34, reportedly met at a film audition in 2009, and were married by 2012. The pair share two daughters and Sam has two children from a previous marriage. Rosie-Huntington-Whiteley & Jason Statham - 20 years The model, 37, started dating actor Jason, 57, in 2010. They were wed in 2016 and have since welcomed a son and a daughter together. Catherine Zeta-Jones & Michael Douglas - 25 years Catherine, 55, was introduced to Michael, 80, a film festival in 1996 and engaged three years later. Shortly after their engagement, the couple welcomed a son and married in 2000. The judgement is mostly from online trolls, with most people in real life simply mistaking them for father and daughter. Randy joked that he often gets a thumbs up from other men when they realise the nature of their relationship. He added that he loves the attention they receive when they walk into a room. More on age gap relationships Another woman met her husband when she was 19 and he was 41, and now they have a family together. And a 25-year-old woman shared the backlash she receives for dating a 76-year-old man. A woman who is dating a man 32 years older than her revealed that she is often called a gold digger. Plus, a couple with a 21-year age gap shared an insight into their relationship. People say how another age gap couple met is a red flag but they disagree. 2

Huge Hollywood star reveals Netflix have AXED his first TV show for a surprisingly saucy reason
THE Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger says his Netflix spy show Fubar won't be back for a third outing. And the veteran action hero says the huge popularity of his son Patrick in Sky's The White Lotus is partly to blame. Arnie told NBC's Seth Meyers: 'Patrick blew it out of the water. Before, all the people came up to me in the gym and said 'Arnold get in touch with me, especially girls. 'And as soon as White Lotus came out, this girl says: 'here is my contact'. I said: 'well thank you'. She replied: 'No, no, no, for Patrick'. 'Now everything is about Patrick, Patrick, Patrick.' But the reality is Netflix bosses pulled the plug after Fubar had poor ratings. Arnie played a CIA operative forced to shelve retirement. The show clearly couldn't compete with Patrick flashing his privates as alpha male Saxon on The White Lotus.
