A star studded re-release premiere of Rekha-starrer evergreen film Umrao Jaan was hosted in Mumbai on Thursday night. The film is ready for a big screen release once again. Many celebrities made it to celebrate Rekha and some inside photos, loaded with admirations for the ace actor, have been shared on social media.
The veteran actor Rekha looked stunning as always, dressed in an ivory and gold outfit, along with traditional jewellery, while Alia Bhatt, made it to the Umrao Jaan re-release premiere, in a pink saree, which looked like her tribute to Rekha's Silsila look.
In a photo, Alia Bhatt and Rekha were seen flipping through the pages of the coffee table book on Umrao Jaan.

She was also seen posing with Vijay Varma, Nushrratt Bharuccha and ace designer Manish Malhotra in another click. Set in the 19th century, the film Umrao Jaan traces Amiran's (Rekha) arrival in a brothel in Lucknow and her relationships with three key characters played by Farooque Shaikh, Raj Babbar, and Naseeruddin Shah.
The restored version of Muzzafar Ali's Umrao Jaan is set to re-release in theatres on June 27. The movie was restored by the National Film Development Corporation-National Film Archive of India under the National Film Heritage Mission.
