Winds were about 15-18 kts and seas rough at 4'-6'.
"The hope and now reality/success that Wonder of the Seas arrived and is now miraculously blocking the swells and wind from the other side of the pier (Our portside) and allow a safe disembarkation process to the pier," said Come Cruise With Me's Dennis Post, who is onboard.
Wonder of the Seas is a newer Oasis Class Ship with newer technology for maneuvering and stability with a gross tonnage of 228,000 compared to Enchantment of the Seas at 82,000 gross tons.
"Wonder is now providing us with significant protection from the elements making the disembarkation procedure safe and underway," according to Post.

Two mega ships Carnival Jubilee from Texas and Wonder from Port Canaveral along with Enchantment of the Seas all docked in Costa Maya on May 21. Those ships brought over 10,000 passengers to the port, which maxes out with three cruise ships.
Wonder of the Seas carries 7,900 plus passengers, while Carnival Jubilee has 5,300 plus and Enchantment of the Seas at 2,400, makes it a tight squeeze for the relatively small port area.That's more people than Costa Maya can serve well, according to multiple passengers on Enchantment who made the trip.
"No I'm not getting off into that mess,' Becky from Tampa shared as she looked at the situation in port.
Brandon Green from Lakeland Florida, a passenger of Enchantment of the Seas did manage to make it off the ship.
"It was a nightmare getting into the port and once we got in, the shops were overun," he said.
Some ports like Nassau and Cozumel are build to handle six ships or more. Costa Maya has docks for three, but it's crowded any time more than one ship is in port.
With two mega-ships in port, that's simply more people than the island has capacity to handle.

With only a limited number of openings for animals to cross through the obstacles, most will either avoid them or try to go around them. A study revealed that only 9% of attempted animal crossings are successful. Habitat connectivity is vital for the long-term viability of a species. Without it, animal populations become isolated, inbred, and vulnerable to the impact of food scarcity and extreme weather events. It also closes the door on the revival of particular species in the future. For example, as Panthera noted, jaguars once roamed the southern United States but have since been effectively extirpated from the region; a completed border wall would guarantee that the species could never return to the region. What's being done to protect borderlands wildlife? The proposals are still a long way from being realized, and there's a great deal of scope for taking local action to counter the damage that could be done. Similarly, just as bipartisan pressure prevented the sale of public lands, it can work again to protect species in the borderlands. Cruise line stocks are on the rebound this year. Here's why.
Cruise line stocks have been on a tear in recent months, with no signs of a slowdown as industry efforts to woo vacationers to the sea show signs of paying off. Carnival (CCL) shares have rebounded more than 60% from their April lows when tariff turmoil rocked the markets. Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH) also rose 50%, while Royal Caribbean (RCL) rallied more than 80% over the same period. Trump's trades deals have, to some extent, helped the industry gain clarity. Airlines like United (UAL) and Delta (DAL) reinstated financial guidance, crediting a clear picture of signals out of Washington. Similarly, cruise operators noted a sharp improvement in bookings over the last several months. The rebound in cruise line stocks, Friday's market sell-off aside, came after April's market turmoil and subsequent recovery on the heels of President Trump's broad-based tariff pause. On Thursday, Norwegian Cruise Line shares jumped 9% after the company posted record second quarter revenue and shared bookings now ahead of historical levels. 'It's never a single thing that drives the change that we saw from a choppy April to a record May through July," Harry Sommer, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, told analysts during the earnings call. "But I'd say the primary driver was the improvement in the macroeconomic environment." He added that July was on its way to a record month for the company. Earlier this week, Royal Caribbean posted record adjusted earnings on strong demand, though the cruise operator's top line came in below Wall Street expectations. Management credited an acceleration in "close-in demand," or bookings with little lead-time, allowing operators to keep prices higher for longer. Strong performances from Royal Caribbean and Norwegian follow Carnival's record second quarter revenue of $6.3 billion in June. The industry's outperformance has been in the making for a while now. In recent years, cruise operators have invested in newer, more advanced ships; thematic voyages; and exclusive destination-led experiences to attract new customers. Those efforts appear to be working as cruises, which often work out cheaper than land-based vacations, have grown in popularity. The number of cruise passengers rose from 29.7 million in 2019, before the 2020 pandemic, to an estimated 37.7 million projected for 2025. The trend reflects passengers beyond baby boomers taking cruises as interest from first-time travelers rises. Royal Caribbean management noted this week that millennials and younger travelers now represent about half of its customer base. "Cruise is a good value proposition. So if people are thinking about taking a vacation, cruise is one of the cheaper forms of travel," Andrew Didora, senior equity research analyst at Bank of America, told Yahoo Finance. "I think [cruise lines] may be gaining some share within the vacation market." JPMorgan researchers estimate the cruise industry will expand its slice of the $1.9 trillion global vacation market from roughly 2% to 3.8% by 2028.
