Sydney Sweeney makes shocking Euphoria admission as she teases show's final season

Daily Mail25-05-2025
Sydney Sweeney dished on the highly-anticipated upcoming third and final season of Euphoria this week.
The 27-year-old actress — who will star alongside Julianne Moore in AppleTV+'s Echo Valley — plays the backstabbing, tantalizing Cassie in the high school drama from Sam Levinson.
In an interview with Empire magazine, the Anything But You star gushed about the character, 'I have such a spot in my heart for Cassie, and I hold her really close and dear.'
She continued, 'She is crazy. She makes so many mistakes. She's flawed on so many levels, but she does it all from a place of love. It could be a sad version of love, as well. It's so much fun to play a character that is as crazy as she is.'
Ans Sweeney said that in the next chapter of the show, Cassie will get 'crazier.'

She said about working with the show's creator and director, 'Sam is such a brilliant filmmaker to work with, because I'll read something, then I'll call him, and I'm like, 'Let's go crazier.' And he's like, 'I'm all in.' And this season is unhinged.'
In mid May Zendaya was spotted on the California set of the HBO series, slipping back into her troubled character Rue.
The 28-year-old actress appeared distressed for the cameras as she exited a convenience store in LA's South Gate.
It came after her co-stars Sydney and Alexa Demie and were spotted filming a scene together in late April.
Earlier this year it was announced that Sharon Stone was cast in season three.
She joined a notable group of A-listers previously added to the show, including Spanish singer Rosalía, Super Bowl winner Marshawn Lynch, and A Different World star Kadeem Hardison.
The prior two seasons of the HBO series from A24 starred Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, Jacob Elordi, the late Angus Cloud, Barbie Ferreira and Dominic Fike.
Last fall Zendaya confirmed that the final season will see a time jump that ages the characters.
In an interview with Empire magazine, the Anything But You star gushed about her character, 'I have such a spot in my heart for Cassie, and I hold her really close and dear;' Jacob Elordi is pictured with Sweeney on the left, and with Alexa Demie on the right
She said on Entertainment Weekly's The Awardist podcast, 'It's important because there's only so much high school drama you can deal with.'
'I don't actually know much about what is happening,' she admitted, despite her role as an executive producer. 'I don't quite know exactly what the season is going to look like, but I do know that the time jump is happening.'
The actress, who plays queer teenager Rue, a high schooler who struggles with drug addiction, sounded as excited as fans to learn what's in store for the young adults.
'It will be fascinating to see and understand these characters outside of the context of high school and how all the stuff that we saw when they were kids and they were in high school affects the adulthood they have and who they become in a much bigger world.'

Full House star Candace Cameron Bure drops divorce bombshell as she admits to 'rough season' in marriage

Full House star Candace Cameron Bure dropped a bombshell about how her marriage nearly ended in divorce. The 49-year-old actress opened up about once going through a particularly 'rough season' with her husband Valeri Bure after 30 years of marriage. She admitted that she and her husband almost separated and nearly went through with ending their marriage back in 2020, but their son guided them towards reconciliation. On her Tuesday episode of The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast, she recalled: 'Val and I went through a really, really rough season in our marriage.' She said at one point, they both had thoughts about splitting up until their kids stepped in. 'It was going south quickly. And we were like, "I don't know, I don't think ... we're gonna make it through.' The pair have been married since 1996 and are parents to three adult children: Natasha, 26, Lev, 25, and Maksim, 23. She recalled how their middle child, their eldest son Lev — who was also recording the podcast with her and their pastor Jonathan 'JP' Pokluda — stepped in and guided them through the rough patch with religion. 'Lev came up to us and said, "We'd like to talk to you guys",' she recalled. 'Lev preached like a 45-minute sermon on marriage to us, like, had his Bible open on the couch and just talked to us about it.' She continued, 'And I'll never forget. He said, "I haven't been married and I'm just a young kid, and it's probably hard to take marriage advice from someone this young [who] never experienced it before. But I don't need to be married to know what the word of God says."' The actress said their son's perspective opened their eyes and reminded them of their family values. 'He was just such a calm voice that had so much wisdom behind it. And he looked us straight in the eye and individually asked me and asked Val, "Have you done everything you can?" 'We walked away from that, and Val and I were like, "We raised pretty good kids." On her Tuesday episode of The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast , she recalled: 'Val and I went through a really, really rough season in our marriage.' She said at one point, they both had thoughts about splitting up until their kids stepped in 'That was, like, the pivotal moment,' she continued. 'It really changed for us after that talk. It's a whole different scenario when your kids sit you down to talk and say, "Are you being as mature as you can be?"' She added: 'I'm so grateful to Lev, and Maks and Natasha. They were so supportive of everything.' The Fuller House alum had previously opened up about how the COVID-19 pandemic affected her marriage. 'All the things that we have avoided for years talking about, they all surfaced and they were in our face,' she admitted during an interview with Yahoo! Lifestyle in March 2021. 'And it was unavoidable to actually have these discussions with one another and work through the real deal crap.' She first sparked a romance with the former NFL hockey player after they met through her Full House co-star Dave Coulier before getting engaged less than a year later. Last month, the Bures marked a milestone as they celebrated their wedding anniversary, proving they overcame any obstacles and resolved their issues. On June 22, she shared a gushing tribute dedicated to her partner on Instagram. '31 years ago, we went on our first official date at his practice rink in Fredericton, New Brunswick. @dcoulier introduced us at a charity hockey game in Los Angeles 4 months earlier,' she wrote. '30 years ago on June 20th, we got engaged in Paris. 29 years ago today, June 22nd, we got married. We grew a beautiful family. Happy anniversary to my love and best friend forever. And this was the song for our first dance.'
