WICKED: FOR GOOD Drops Wickedly Good First Trailer
Few shows have ever been or will likely ever be as highly anticipated as Wicked: For Good. As the second half of Jon M. Chu's adaptation of the Broadway stage show, itself a loose adaptation of Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel, it hits a sweet spot of fandoms. With powerhouse stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande portraying protagonist Elphaba Thropp and initial rival and later friend Glinda Upland, respectively, the film's musical pedigree is anchored. Indisputably, Chu's vision of Oz is a worthy heir to 1939's The Wizard of Oz, a groundbreaking piece of cinema when it first premiered.

Wicked: For Good arrives in theaters on November 21. Wicked: Part 1 ended with Elphaba breaking away from the pack, rejecting the Wizard's (Jeff Goldblum) offer to help subjugate Oz under his rule with her powers. Always able to pivot, the Wizard turns her into a villain he can pit the people against. This buoys his popularity and distracts from the real problems in Oz. At the heart of the story is Elphaba and Glinda's friendship, painted on the lore established in The Wizard of Oz . Wicked: For Good picks up with Oz's residents taking up arms and a contagious mob mentality against Elphaba, now branded by the Wizard as 'The Wicked Witch of the West.' Glinda has retained a place of societal status. Secretly, she remains friends with Elphaba. Meanwhile, the magnificent Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) continues to spin her spells on the Wizard's behalf. Image Credit: Universal Pictures

Glinda's popularity and social savviness make her the obvious choice as the Wizard poster girl for 'Good.' This includes marrying Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey), now the head of the Wizard's army, and appearing to be as magical as Elphaba thanks to the Wizard's gadgetry. Image Credit: Universal Pictures
Elphaba lives a solitary life, hiding from the Wizard while honing her powers with the help of the Grimmerie, the tome of magical knowledge. Unseen in the trailer are her sister Nessarose (Marissa Bode) and the Munchkin Boq (Ethan Slater). As tragic as their story is, one wonders if it'll factor into Chu's narrative. There are, however, many Animals in what can only be assumed to be a revolution of sorts. World Building
Brilliantly, Wicked: Part 1 and Wicked: For Good not only build the backstory for the familiar characters and relationships of Oz, they literally lay the foundation for major infrastructure developments. The Wizard understands the benefits of keeping the populace busy, after all. In the trailer, we see Elphaba lay a hand on the gold-painted bricks that eventually form that infamous road to the Emerald City. Image Credit: Universal Pictures
Perhaps the most tantalizing scenes in the trailer are those of Dorothy Gale (Alisha Weir). Two iconic moments are reimagined for Wicked fans. There's a far-away shot of Dorothy setting out on her journey with Toto and some enthusiastic Munchkins (presumably after parking her house on Nessarose). The one that sent chills down my spine is the four of them standing in front of the Wizard's mechanical talking head. Remembering the anxiety the original characters felt in The Wizard of Oz , it's pretty horrifying to realize the man behind the puppetry is much scarier. Image Credit: Universal Pictures

There's also an enigmatic shot of the silver slippers as someone walks across a wet floor wearing them. Is it Dorothy (as the ankle socks seem to indicate), or could it be that moment for Nessarose? Get Ready to Thank Goodness
The nearly three-minute-long trailer packs in a lot of plot points. One slightly spoilery one shows Fiyero revealing his true allegiance. What isn't rushed is the lavish production value. The sweeping shots of the lavish setting are just as breathtaking as Wicked: Part 1. And, of course, soundtracking it with clips of Erivo's 'No Good Deed' and Grande's 'For Good' only stokes the flames of fan fervor.
Can Wicked: For Good defy gravity even more than Wicked: Part 1 did? Besides dropping this trailer, the publicity team also opened the soundtrack's pre-save option online.
Wicked: For Good hits theaters November 21.

Jana Kramer faces 'a lot of pressure' to provide for her family
Jana Kramer has accepted jobs that challenge her "moral compass". The 41-year-old star has to pay child support cheques to ex-husband Mike Caussin, and Jana admits that financial pressures have influenced some of her career decisions. Jana - who has Jolie, nine, and Jace, six, with Mike, as well as Roman, 19 months, with current husband Allan Russell - told Fox News Digital: "There's definitely some things, some ads that I'm like, 'Oh, I wish I could have gone back and maybe not done that ad,' but you know, you learn and you go back and you go, 'All right, I'm not gonna do that one again,' you know? "So sometimes when you gotta pay that child support cheque, it's just like, 'Well, this is a good cheque money. I'm gonna take this.'" Asked if she was referring to a commercial in which she promoted a sex toy, Jana replied: "It's OK, honestly it is what it is. "I'm not gonna do it again, like you know what I mean? Like I'm like, OK, I'm good now, like, you know? Like we're good, we're levelling up to a different [place], you know?" Jana has occasionally comprised her values because she needs to provide for her family. She said: "I am a sole provider, where I have a lot of pressure on my shoulders to provide for my kids. And so I think that piece of it sometimes outweighs my moral compass." Jana is best known for playing Alex Dupre on One Tree Hill. And the actress - who starred on the TV show between 2009 and 2012 - previously revealed that she's eager to star in a reboot. She told TooFab in 2024: "I definitely talked to Sophia [Bush, her former co-star] about it and it's one of those things where she's kind of getting a temperature check on who would come back." Jana is a fan of reboots and she's keen to see what the show's characters are up to now. She shared: "I love when shows get rebooted and they bring back old characters because I like to see what they're up to. "I understand if they don't. I understand why some actors don't want to come back to a show that's been done, and they have closed that chapter. But for the viewers and the fans, I want to know what they're up to, what they're doing."

Yankees' George Costanza desk nap bobblehead pre-selling for five times more than tickets to game
This week the New York Yankees announced that the bobblehead giveaway for its Seinfeld Night promotion on Aug. 21 for its game against the Boston Red Sox will be one of George Costanza sleeping under his desk. The unique giveaway, which Seinfeld fans will surely agree is perhaps the greatest bobblehead ever created, is a reference to an episode from season eight of the show titled 'The Nap.' In the episode, George, then working for the Yankees as assistant to the traveling secretary, commissioned a carpenter working for Jerry to build a custom sleep nook under his desk at Yankee Stadium. He was then caught under there by then Yankees owner George Steinbrenner's grandson. The bobblehead will only be given to the first 18,000 fans who enter the stadium that night, but pre-sales of the item have already been purchased on eBay for up to $250 while tickets to the game are still available for as little as $53. 'I love a good nap. Sometimes it's the only thing getting me out of bed in the morning.' – George Costanza Join us at @yankeestadium on Thursday, August 21 for Seinfeld Night! 1st 18,000 guests will receive a George Costanza Bobblehead 🎟️👉 — New York Yankees (@Yankees) June 26, 2025 For last season's Seinfeld Night, the Yankees gave away a bobblehead of George in a batting pose from an episode where he taught real-life Yankees Bernie Williams and Derek Jeter how to hit. While this is only the second year the Yankees will hold a Seinfeld Night, the New York Mets and its minor league affiliates have had several bobblehead giveaways tied to the show. The Brooklyn Cyclones, a High-A affiliate of the Mets, have done bobbleheads of George in his Gore-Tex coat, and pulling a golf ball out of a whale's blowhole while pretending to be a marine biologist. The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, a Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, also gave away one of George eating so many shrimp that it prompted a call from the ocean. The character has proven popular in trading card form, too. 2021 Panini National Treasures cards featuring pieces of a Yankees jersey worn by actor Jason Alexander have sold for $1,000 or more on at least five occasions and numerous unofficial Costanza cards have been produced.
