Nutanix Cloud Native AOS Offers Disaster Recovery.
Nutanix (NASDAQ: NTNX), a hybrid multicloud computing company, has launched its Cloud Native AOS solution, extending its enterprise storage and data services to hyperscaler Kubernetes® services and cloud-native bare-metal environments. This new solution eliminates the need for a hypervisor, allowing users to simplify storage management across hybrid cloud infrastructures.
As data becomes increasingly distributed, businesses need a consistent way to protect, replicate, and restore data across Kubernetes environments. Cloud Native AOS addresses this by providing a unified data platform for bare-metal, virtualized, and containerized infrastructure. It runs directly on cloud-native environments, whether in the cloud or on bare metal.
The solution enhances Kubernetes infrastructure by integrating disaster recovery across availability zones, clouds, and on-premises. It also supports seamless migration of applications and data between sites. Developers can manage all aspects of data for their applications using Kubernetes APIs.
Key Benefits of Nutanix Cloud Native AOS: Resilient Data Protection : Protects containerized applications with integrated disaster recovery.
: Protects containerized applications with integrated disaster recovery. Seamless Mobility : Enables smooth migration of applications and data between cloud and on-premises environments.
: Enables smooth migration of applications and data between cloud and on-premises environments. Efficient Data Management: Automates data management with Kubernetes APIs for greater control and flexibility.
'Nutanix has built a complete platform for enterprise-grade infrastructure with advanced data services in virtualized data centers,' said Thomas Cornely, SVP, Product Management at Nutanix. 'Now we are extending the reach of our platform to users of cloud-native infrastructure on Kubernetes service in public clouds and on bare metal, delivering enterprise resiliency, day 2 operations, and security.'
Cloud Native AOS is available in early access for Amazon EKS and will be generally available this summer. Early access for on-premises containerized environments on bare-metal servers is expected by the end of the year.
Dave Pearson, Infrastructure Research VP at IDC, noted, 'Cloud Native AOS bridges the gap by bringing data mobility and disaster recovery to the data persistence layer of cloud-native applications.' Nutanix's new solution is set to transform Kubernetes data management, offering enhanced resiliency and portability across hybrid infrastructures.

Nasdaq, S&P 500 hit fresh records as trade talks, tech earnings in focus
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq touched fresh record peaks on Monday, as investors hoped for trade breakthroughs and geared up for a week of tech earnings that could set the tone for Wall Street. At 09:44 a.m., the S&P 500 gained 18.34 points, or 0.29%, to 6,315.13 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 110.40 points, or 0.53%, to 21,006.05. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 38.06 points, or 0.09%, to 44,380.25, just 1.57% shy of its all-time high. Investors were hoping for some progress in trade talks after U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on Sunday, who expressed confidence over striking a trade deal with the European Union. However, EU diplomats said the 27-member bloc is exploring a broader set of possible counter-measures against the United States, as hopes for a breakthrough deal with Washington dwindled. Trump has threatened to slap 30% tariffs on imports from Mexico and the EU, keeping markets on edge. The president has also sent letters to other trading partners, including Canada, Japan and Brazil, setting blanket tariff rates ranging from 20% to 50%. Despite Trump's persistent attacks and the August 1 tariff deadline, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq reached new heights recently as investors believed that the economic fallout from tariffs might not be as dire as once feared. All eyes are on marquee names such as Alphabet and Tesla, whose results this week will kick off the "Magnificent Seven" earnings parade, and could set the tone for Wall Street. Shares of Tesla and Alphabet were up 1.7% and 0.5%, respectively. "There's still a ton of trade uncertainty, and so I think the focus on earnings has given investors some things to be excited about," said Ross Mayfield, investment strategy analyst at Baird. "There's a lot of optimism around those big tech earnings and AI demand that should continue to help indexes." On Monday, Verizon gained 2.2% after boosting its annual profit forecast. The stock also drove the communications sector, which emerged as the top gainer among other sectors. Meanwhile, shares of Domino's Pizza rose 2% after the world's largest pizza chain surpassed analysts' expectations for second-quarter U.S. same-store sales. The week is light on the economic data front, with only notable indicators being weekly jobless claims figures and the July business activity report expected on Thursday. Investors will closely analyze Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's remarks on Tuesday for any clues on the central bank's next move, especially after last week's mixed inflation signals. Traders have largely ruled out a July rate cut, and are now pegging the odds at about 60% for a September reduction, according to CME Group's FedWatch tool. Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by a 2.22-to-1 ratio on the NYSE and by a 2.33-to-1 ratio on the Nasdaq. The S&P 500 posted seven new 52-week highs and four new lows, while the Nasdaq Composite recorded 41 new highs and 20 new lows. CrowdStrike Expands AWS Collaboration for AI Security
Home » Emerging technologies » Cyber Security » CrowdStrike Expands AWS Collaboration for AI Security CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) has announced an expanded collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to drive secure AI adoption in cybersecurity. The company revealed new offerings now available in the AWS Marketplace, including falcon-mcp , a managed control plane server for the CrowdStrike Falcon® platform, and CrowdStrike AI Red Team Services . These tools are part of the new AI Agents and Tools category, designed to help customers operationalize agentic AI workflows and secure generative AI (GenAI) systems directly within their AWS environments. CrowdStrike reported that although AI adoption is growing, enterprises often lack secure, scalable frameworks to connect models with real-time security operations. Without proper validation, agentic AI poses new risks. Now available in preview via Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, falcon-mcp enables seamless integration of AI agents and LLM-based applications with Falcon telemetry. This includes access to detections, incidents, threat intelligence, and behavioral data—helping to streamline secure AI deployments. CrowdStrike AI Red Team Services offer in-depth assessments of AI systems, including LLM integrations. These evaluations identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations that may expose systems to breaches or unauthorized actions. The services align with security standards such as the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs. According to Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, agentic AI is transforming industries, but secure integration is essential for long-term scalability. Jay McBain, Chief Analyst at Canalys, noted that the risks of LLMs are becoming more tangible. He stated that CrowdStrike's AWS partnership raises the bar for secure AI operationalization. Key highlights include: falcon-mcp provides open, secure AI-to-Falcon integration provides open, secure AI-to-Falcon integration AI Red Team Services help test and harden GenAI systems CrowdStrike and AWS continue to offer integrated security for AI applications, models, and services. This includes native support for Amazon SageMaker and Bedrock. CrowdStrike's platform also features tools like AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM) and Falcon Data Protection. CrowdStrike confirmed that AWS itself relies on the Falcon platform to secure its infrastructure, from code to cloud and device to data.
