Scheana Shay Had Awkward Encounters With John Mayer

Buzz Feed4 hours ago
Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay revealed what allegedly happened when she ran into her ex-boyfriend John Mayer last year, which was incredibly awkward.
So, the reality TV star's memoir, My Good Side, is out, and she's sharing the details about her romances with rather popular celebrities. Talking with People, Scheana opened up about her romance with seven-time Grammy winner John Mayer in 2008.
In her memoir, Scheana shared that she met John in 2008 while working at his birthday event, when he was dating Jennifer Aniston. Scheana claims they weren't exclusive and were casually dating for six months.
In the book, she also revealed that her romance with John overlapped with her relationship with Eddie Cibrian, the ex-husband of fellow Bravolebrity Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville.
Scheana said that her romance with John ended after one of her friends allegedly went to the tabloids about their relationship. An excerpt of the book reads, "Once it was public, he didn't want to speak to me or see me anymore," according to People.
Scheana apparently ran into John recently and shared how awkward the whole situation was, and now I'm getting secondhand embarrassment. Sheana said she bumped into John at ChainFEST two years ago, a gourmet food chain festival in Los Angeles. "I saw him, and I awkwardly give him a hug, like, 'Hey, and then made a joke like, 'Oh, we should get a photo.' And he was like, 'No.' And I was like, 'I was kind of kidding.' But yeah, that was awkward," she told the publication.
Scheana said she also ran into the "Waiting On the World to Change" singer again in 2024, but went about the encounter differently, yet it was still an awkward mess. "I didn't even go in for the hug," she remembered. "He went out for a handshake. I'm like, 'Well, this is awkward, too."

Stephanie McMahon Shares How Triple H's Health Issues Affected Her Life

Stephanie McMahon revealed that she always had a strong feeling she would lose her husband, Triple H, early in life. In 2021, Triple H had a serious heart issue that nearly took his life. He had to undergo major heart surgery. The health scare ended his wrestling career, and since then, he has taken over as WWE's head of creative and has been leading the company to new heights. Stephanie McMahon opened up to John Cena on her What's Your Story podcast, reflecting on the emotional challenges she faced when Triple H nearly died. 'I almost lost Paul, my husband. And what's weird, and I haven't talked about it, is I always had a feeling that I was gonna lose him early. I just had that feeling. And after we got through everything, that feeling went away.' She explained that the experience felt like fate had changed course, 'It's like a pattern that was supposed to happen changed. And it was such a gift, truly. But then I started going through all this stuff in the company, and I realized there is nothing more important to me than my family, than my husband and my kids. And that's what matters most. And I want to give as much time as I possibly can. I've given everything I possibly have to the business, you know, and my whole life.' The experience helped her recognize what truly matters in life. She said, 'And I wanted to give back to them. And that's when I took that first leave of absence, which didn't last very long. But I knew what mattered. I know what matters now, and I believe that love is what life is all about.' 'And if you can help somebody in any way, I think that is what it's all about. You know, it's about giving back. And, I've had a lot of blessings in my life. I consider myself very blessed and I'm so grateful. And any amount that I can give back, that's what I want to do if I can. I'm not certainly not perfect. I'm sure I've hurt people's feelings along the way. I'm sure I've said something to somebody. But that's what I love about doing this.' JP Saxe's North American tour cancelled over low ticket sales despite online appeal

TORONTO — A Toronto singer-songwriter who was set to tour North America this fall says he's cancelled his series of concerts over sluggish ticket sales and the high cost of life on the road. JP Saxe took to social media this week, saying that if he didn't sell about 20,000 tickets to his upcoming Make Yourself at Home tour within 48 hours, it would likely be cancelled. In a follow-up video, he says 2,000 more tickets were sold, but it wasn't enough to save the tour. Saxe says he's grateful for the extra sales, that tickets will be fully refunded and he's looking to make sure similar cancellations never happen again. The Grammy-nominated musician, best known for his 2019 single "If the World Was Ending" with Julia Michaels, was set to play more than 25 dates, including Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Vancouver. The cancellation comes as live music faces mass pressure, compounded by a shaky economy, years of inflation and concert ticket prices that — in many cases — have skyrocketed by hundreds of dollars this year. "Those 2,000 tickets were a reminder ... of how wonderful it can be to ask for help and watch a community come together, and this really was the nicest the internet has ever been to me," he said in a video posted to social media platform TikTok. "I'm grateful to each one of you who bought a ticket, and I'm really sorry." This report by The Canadian Press was first published Aug. 2, 2025. The Canadian Press Sign in to access your portfolio
