Ohio woman, 39, to spend rest of her life in prison after raping child

An Ohio woman who was found guilty of raping a child will spend the rest of her life behind bars. Kristina Jacobson, 39, of Akron, near Cleveland, was convicted of illegal use of a minor or an impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, rape, and gross sexual imposition at a hearing on June 12. She will have to register as a Tier III sex offender and will not be given the possibility of parole. 'Kristina Jacobson abused an innocent child's vulnerability and inability to defend or advocate for herself,' Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich said in a statement. 'There is simply no excuse for this abhorrent crime.' Herhusband, Scott Jacobson, 45, was also sentenced to life in prison without parole for raping two children. He was sentenced in November after pleading guilty in August, Kolkovich said. He was also found guilty of gross sexual imposition, five counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person, and five counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor, which is an Ohio crime that involves material showing a minor involved in sexual activity. Their victims are under the age of 13 and the abuse occurred between December 2011 to December 2015 and April to May 2024, according to Fox 8. She often posted photos with small children on her Facebook page, as well as pictures of her running and of her dog. Her latest photo is a picture of her in what appears to be a public bathroom in May 2024.
