According to the poll's results, approximately 70% of residents view Israeli deterrence against Gaza as "weak" or "very weak," while 78% expressed that they do not feel any degree of security in the region, given the ongoing security tensions.

Human Eye Center condemns Zionist Entity's treacherous aggression on Hodeidah
Sana'a – Saba: The Human Eye Center for Rights and Development strongly condemned the brutal and treacherous attack carried out by the Zionist occupation entity on Hodeidah Governorate. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the center said the Israeli airstrikes, which targeted Hodeidah Port, Ras Issa Port, and the central Ras Kathib power station using more than 50 high-explosive bombs, amounted to a blatant assault on vital civilian infrastructure. These facilities are essential for millions of Yemenis to access food, medicine, fuel, and electricity—especially under an ongoing blockade and catastrophic humanitarian conditions. The statement placed this attack in the broader context of the organized terror campaign by the Israeli regime, which continues to commit acts of genocide in Gaza since October 2023, relentlessly bombing residential areas, hospitals, refugee camps, and shelters, killing tens of thousands, primarily children and women. It added that the Zionist war machine has not stopped targeting Lebanon and Syria either, through repeated airstrikes that violate national sovereignty and constitute a persistent threat to regional peace and security. The statement emphasized that this latest escalation in the Red Sea, following the ongoing wars in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, clearly shows that the Israeli entity operates with impunity, bolstered by unconditional U.S. support, international silence, and a shameful UN stance that has effectively legitimized genocide and buried international law beneath the rubble of innocent victims. The Human Eye Center asserted that the silence of international institutions, especially the UN Security Council, cannot be seen as neutrality, but rather as outright complicity and implicit participation in these crimes, encouraging the rogue entity to continue its killing spree without accountability. The statement classified the targeting of ports, power stations, and civilian facilities as war crimes and crimes against humanity, demanding urgent international action to hold perpetrators accountable and to curb the unchecked Israeli aggression. It also renewed its call to independent human rights organizations worldwide to document these crimes and pursue international legal action, stressing the need to prevent victimized nations from being abandoned to aggression and global apathy. The statement concluded by affirming that the Yemeni people, like the peoples of Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, will not remain passive and have the legitimate right to defend their dignity, sovereignty, and national security by all possible means. Yemeni Center for Human Rights condemns Israeli aggression on Civilian Infrastructure in Hodeidah
Sana'a – Saba: The Yemeni Center for Human Rights strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression targeting Yemen's civilian and service infrastructure, including the ports of Hodeidah, Ras Issa, and Al-Salif, as well as the central power station in Ras Kathib. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the center described the targeting of these vital humanitarian ports—critical for transporting food and medicine to millions of Yemenis—as a deliberate war crime aimed at starving the population and destroying essential civilian life systems, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law. The statement emphasized that these acts violate multiple international agreements, including the 1949 Geneva Conventions and Protocol I of 1977, which prohibit attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure. It also referenced the Rome Statute, which criminalizes the widespread destruction of civilian property and the use of starvation as a method of warfare. The center cited UN Security Council Resolution 3314 (1974), Article 3(c), which defines the targeting of civilian infrastructure as an act of aggression, and Article 11 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, which guarantees civilians' right to food and water. The statement warned that attacking humanitarian ports disables 70% of aid entry into Yemen, severely worsening what the UN has described as the world's worst humanitarian crisis, driven by years of blockade that have already resulted in tens of thousands of deaths due to famine, lack of medicine, collapse of the healthcare system, and catastrophic malnutrition among women and children. The center affirmed that these acts are part of a systematic campaign of genocide, stressing Yemenis' legitimate right to self-defense in protecting their lives and dignity. It also asserted that justice for victims is a non-negotiable and timeless right. The statement further warned that global silence amounts to complicity, particularly by the UN Security Council, which has yet to issue any condemnation despite the rising civilian death toll. The Yemeni Center for Human Rights called on Arab and Islamic governments to sever ties with Israel, prosecute its leaders at the International Criminal Court, launch campaigns to halt arms exports to Israel, and boycott companies supporting the occupation.
