Premier League forms five-year AI partnership with Microsoft
Audiences and fans will be able to learn about Premier League clubs, players, matches through an AI companion powered by Microsoft's Copilot which can pull information from over 30 seasons of stats, 300,000 articles and 9,000 videos, they said.

AI has strongly resonated with sports leagues and sports entertainment companies as they look to streamline the vast troves of data to attract larger audiences and drive engagement.
Spain's LaLiga soccer league, which features clubs such as Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, also uses AI in match analysis and media production while clubs roll out AI-driven experiences to engage more fans.
The Premier League, England's top soccer league, is also migrating its core digital infrastructure to Microsoft Azure to allow for easier AI integration and create a unified platform for the league.

Manchester United sign Matheus Cunha as Ruben Amorim lands first summer deal
Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves. The Brazilian international forward was pictured outside of the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on Sunday morning, leading to speculation that an official transfer announcement was imminent. Advertisement That has now arrived, with United revealing in a short statement that they had reached an agreement with Wolves, with Cunha's move to Old Trafford subject to visa and registration. He is reported to have agreed a five-year contract until 2030 that includes a club option for a further 12 months beyond that. United have triggered the £62.5million release clause in a four-and-a-half year contract extension only signed by Cunha at Molineux back in February, reportedly agreeing earlier this week to Wolves' demands that the money be paid in three instalments over the next two seasons as per that deal, rather than spread over five instead.
