Dramatic footage shows Theodore Michael Tundidor, 31, choking the terrified woman from behind and dragging her towards his Toyota truck.
He unlocks the car whilst still grasping her and wrestles with the door.
The unidentified victim's screams intensify to petrified shriek as Tundidor tries to bundle her onto the seat.
Through the screams, she cries: "Help, help!" and "Get off!"
She can be seen through the window writhing around in panic, trying to break free.
Eventually, she escape his clutches and scrambles off onto the pavement, still shouting for help and with the attacker giving chase.
Cops said that a bystander saw the attempted abduction and came to the woman's aid before calling 911.
The brute was forced to jump into his truck and take off.
Crews arrived at the scene in St Augustine, but the truck was gone.
Florida Fish and Wildlife officers later spotted the pickup truck barrelling "recklessly" down Route A1A, sparking a high-speed chase before he was eventually caught.

Tundidor had allegedly stolen the pickup truck and driven it around on a crime spree.
He is accused of stealing hundreds of dollars worth of cigarettes and vapes from various businesses.
The kidnap attempt victim was the clerk at one of the stores he allegedly robbed, the authorities said.
He was charged with kidnapping, robbery and grand theft auto for the spree on June 29, as well as driving under the influence and fleeing and eluding the law.
Police praised the woman's behaviour, saying: "The victim did everything right - scream/yell, fight, attract attention."

Watch: Hot dogs spill on highway causes commuter's wurst nightmare: ‘They're everywhere!'

Thousands of hot dogs spilled out onto a Pennsylvania highway after a food truck smashed into a concrete barrier. Eyewitness footage shared by a bewildered commuter on Friday (1 August) shows the frankenfurters scattered across Interstate 83, with one traveller saying: 'Oh my god, they're everywhere.' The collision occurred after the trailer carrying the hot dogs had an unspecified mechanical problem during morning rush hour, causing it to scrape into the side of a passenger vehicle before it hit the concrete divider. Four people involved in the crash required medical attention for non-life threatening injuries. The crash caused significant traffic disruptions in both directions on the interstate.

New social media trend ‘a good way to end up dead'

A dangerous social media trend known as the 'door-kick challenge' is spreading across the US, involving individuals aggressively kicking doors and uploading videos online. Authorities and online safety experts are warning that the challenge is 'a good way to end up dead,' as homeowners may resort to force to protect their property. Incidents have been reported in multiple US states, with examples including two Florida teenagers facing felony burglary charges and a Las Vegas homeowner suffering US$5,000 of damage. Experts suggest that social media platforms incentivize dangerous content for 'clout,' which normalizes violent and extreme behaviour among teenagers. Parents are advised to have open conversations with their children about online trends and to monitor their digital activity to prevent participation in these risky challenges.

Balaclava-clad gang murdered tourist, 27, after following him home from London nightclub in ‘botched bag robbery'

A GANG wearing balaclavas murdered a tourist after following him home from a London nightclub in a botched bag robbery. The 27-year-old man was visiting from Greece and on a night out with friends before he was followed for eight miles and brutally robbed and knifed to death. 2 Five men have now been found guilty of murder following the botched robbery. Antonis Antoniadis, 27, had gone to a nightclub near Oxford Circus with friends in the early hours of July 7 last year before he was robbed and knifed to death. They left the club at around 8.15am and caught a taxi back to Florence Terrace, New Cross, where they were staying with a friend. What they didn't know was that they were being followed by a gang who had spent several hours in central London in a stolen car. They followed Antonis and his friends for eight miles and more than 30 minutes back to New Cross. As Antonis and his friends were attempting to get into their address, Sofian Alliche, Shian Johnson, Joshua McCorquodale, and Alfie Hipple exited the vehicle. The other, Amin Alliche, who was 17 years old at the time, remained in the driver's seat of the car. The group of four, all wearing balaclavas and armed with large knives, grabbed Antonis' bag before they stabbed him in the chest and right thigh. The wound to Antonis' leg severed his femoral artery causing catastrophic blood loss. He initially survived the attack and fought for his life in hospital for two weeks before passing away on Sunday, July 21 last year. Human remains in remote house identified as man missing for 6 years after two arrested over 'murder' The four men in balaclavas then returned to their car with Antonis' mobile phone. Amin Alliche then drove them across the Thames to Northwest London where they sold the device. After returning to their "home turf" in Camden, they hid the stolen vehicle under a car cover. There was no CCTV of the attack but after a gruelling investigation, the police tracked the gang's movements and recovered the stolen car which ultimately proved they were responsible for killing Antonis. Several of their addresses were searched during the investigation where a number of weapons were seized. A zombie knife, five machetes, two swords, two lock knives and seven other knives were found. Amin Alliche,18, Sofian Alliche, 20, both of Bury Place, Holborn, Shian Johnson, 26, of Argyle Walk, King's Cross, Joshua McCorquodale, 20, of Upper Park Road, Chalk Farm, and Alfie Hipple, 18, of Kentish Town Road, Camden, were all found guilty of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery following an eight-week trial at the Old Bailey. They will be sentenced at the same court on Friday, October 3. Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, Specialist Crime South, said: 'Antonis had been visiting from Greece with friends. Very tragically he never made it home to his family. "This was a particularly challenging and complex case given the lack of CCTV at the scene and the movement of the vehicle, which had been driven by the defendants continuously throughout the night of 6 July and into the following afternoon. 'I would like to thank in particular Antonis' friends, who had witnessed his brutal murder and returned to the UK to give their evidence. "I would also like to thank the witnesses' who came forward and helped us to understand what had happened to Antonis. I am pleased our concerted efforts to find those responsible has enabled us to achieve justice for Antonis' loved ones, family, and friends.'
