United Arab Bank Net Profit up by 50% for the First Half of 2025
United Arab Bank PJSC (UAB or 'the Bank') has announced its financial results for the six months ended 30th June 2025. UAB posted a net profit of AED 208 million for the first half of 2025, compared to AED 139 million for the same period last year, representing a 50% YoY increase. Total income rose by 24% YoY to AED 374 increase in net profit reflects significant growth in total assets—up 11% from December 2024—and the Bank's disciplined approach to risk management. UAB's balance sheet was further strengthened through a continued focus on asset quality and capital results underscore the Bank's solid momentum and strategic readiness for future growth.H.H. Gulf Air to Add up to 18 Boeing 787 Dreamliners to its Widebody Fleet
Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Gulf Air have announced an agreement for the purchase of 12 787 Dreamliner jets with options for six more as the Bahrain-based airline looks to further develop its international network. Once finalized, this order will bring the carrier's firm order book to 14 of the versatile widebody jets and will support 30,000 jobs across the Minister of Finance and National Economy Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick joined Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Stephanie Pope and Gulf Air Group Chairman Khalid Taqi to witness the signing."This agreement marks a transformative step in Gulf Air's strategic growth journey as we expand our global footprint and modernize our fleet with one of the industry's most advanced and efficient aircraft," said Khalid Taqi, chairman of Gulf Air Group. ADU Interior Design Students Showcase Industry-Ready Projects to Top Experts and Alumni
Abu Dhabi University's (ADU) Interior Design Program recently welcomed leading industry experts, academic professionals, and accomplished alumni to its main campus to evaluate 26 final projects of graduating students. The gathering marked a key milestone in the students' academic journey, providing a platform to present their design work, gain professional feedback, and connect with potential career opportunities. It also reaffirmed ADU's commitment to delivering industry-aligned, future-ready education that bridges the gap between learning and real-world jury included eight senior designers and representatives from renowned firms including Minotti, Bloomingdale's Dubai, Aati, INSITE Contracting and Interiors, AECOM, Canadian University Dubai, and Amalya Decoration.
