Raleigh's 35th home run came in Seattle's 88th contest of the season. The 28-year-old catcher became just the 14th player in league history to record 35 home runs in 90 games or fewer, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Ruth accomplished the same feat three separate times in his career, while Griffey did it twice.

Cal Raleigh was recently named the starting catcher for the American League in the upcoming All-Star Game. This will be his first All-Star Game appearance in his career. The team added it would not comment further on the situation and will allow MLB to carry out its investigation into the matter. Clase is the second Guardians pitcher to be placed on paid leave while MLB looks into the situation.
