'World Cup helped increase harmony inside team': Manchester City winger Marmoush
As the team includes several new faces among the playing and coaching staff, 26-year-old Marmoush said spending this time together is having a positive effect.
'We've spent so much time together, sitting together at breakfast, lunch and dinner,' the Egyptian international was quoted as saying by the club's official website.
'Also, between and after sessions, we have free time that we spend together. This brings the chemistry up and makes us feel like a big family," he expressed.
'We could be here for a month, so having fun every day helps improve the chemistry a lot and play better on the pitch,' he added.
City, which ended the English Premier League in third place this season, delivered outstanding performances since the start of the World Cup.
They have beaten Morocco's Wydad 2-0, UAE's Al-Ain 6-0, and finally Juventus 5-2 at the group stage.
World Cup race is open
Arriving at City in January from Germany's Eintracht Frankfurt, Marmoush quickly proved his worth, scoring eight goals in 24 appearances so far.
The Pharaohs player appeared twice at the World Cup, against Wydad and Juventus, to help secure the perfect record ahead of the knockout stage.
According to Marmoush, his team respects all opponents, including round of 16 rivals Al-Hilal, stressing that they know the road well to be unbeatable.
'Anyone can win the tournament and that's why it's so nice to be here because you play teams from all over the world,' he explained.
Al-Hilal reached the round of 16 after draws with Real Madrid and RB Salzburg and a victory over Mexican side Pachuca.
'Al-Hilal are known as one of the best teams in Saudi Arabia, and I think they've already proved in the tournament that they have a lot of quality,' the Egyptian player said.
'We respect all of the opponents; however, we know if we bring our qualities on the pitch, we will be very hard to beat,' he concluded.

Al Hilal showed Saudi league not just about money: Koulibaly
Simone Inzaghi's team beat Manchester City 4-3 in the round-of-16, delivering the biggest upset of the tournament and one of the competition's most thrilling games. Al Hilal began their campaign with a draw against Spanish giants Real Madrid and they came through the group stage unbeaten with a draw against Champions League regulars Salzburg and a 2-0 win over six-times CONCACAF Champions Cup winners Pachuca of Mexico. With a squad that mixes local Saudi talent with international recruits, the newly appointed Inzaghi was able to take the team to the brink of the last four. For former Napoli defender and Senegal international Kalidou Koulibaly, one of the expensively recruited foreign players, the performances at the first 32-team Club World Cup, were a message that the Saudi league is not just a lucrative retirement home for European and South American players. "We showed that the teams from Saudi are very strong, very powerful and we have a lot of good players. Everyone thinks that when we went there we only went for the financial argument but we showed that we are working over there," he told reporters. "We showed it at this World Cup and every team who played against us can see that we have talent. We want to improve the league, we have improved a lot in two years," he added. Koulibaly was one of the early recruits to the Saudi Pro League, after leaving Premier League team Chelsea to join the Riyadh club and he said he has witnessed rapid growth in the league. "I was there at the beginning and I see today it is very tough. We saw it last year and next year it will be tougher as more players are coming. The Saudi league is taking a nice place in the football world and we are happy because we are part of a very nice project and want to show all the world that the football is improving," he said. Inzaghi, who left Inter Milan and took charge of the team shortly before the tournament began, says he has been impressed with what he has seen from his players so far. "Clearly, for me and my staff, it was very important to be able to play in this World Cup. We realised what kind of team we have, the quality of our players, the pleasure with which they work every day. Now we are looking forward to a great season," he said. Fluminense beat Al-Hilal 2-1 to reach Club World Cup semis
A fine left-foot finish from Matheus Martinelli had put the Rio club ahead in the 40th minute but Al-Hilal's Brazilian forward Marcos Leonardo levelled six minutes into the second half before Hercules stole the show to the delight of the vast majority of the 43,091 crowd. Rio club Fluminense could yet face an all-Brazilian semi-final if their rivals from Sao Paulo, Palmeiras, are able to overcome Premier League Chelsea in Friday's other quarter-final. Al-Hilal had pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament, beating Manchester City 4-3, to reach the last eight and Simone Inzaghi's side fought hard until the end to keep their adventure alive. They bow out of the tournament having been unbeaten through the group stage, including holding Real Madrid to a draw, and having truly made their mark on the world stage. There was a moment's silence before the kick-off in memory of Liverpool and Portugal forward Diogo Jota and his younger brother Andre Silva who died in the early hours of Thursday after their car veered off a motorway in Spain and burst into flames. Al-Hilal's line-up featured two of Jota's Portugal team-mates in Ruben Neves and Joao Cancelo. The first half was a tight and tactical affair with few chances until Martinelli opened the scoring when he picked the ball up from Gabriel Fuentes inside the box and span out to give himself space for a left-foot shot that rocketed past Yassine Bounou. Al-Hilal went close to a quick response when Kalidou Koulibaly's header forced Fluminense's 44-year-old goalkeeper Fabio into a fine save. The Saudi side were awarded a penalty when Samuel Xavier was ruled to have brought down Marcos Leonardo in the box but Dutch referee Danny Makkelie was eventually sent to the monitor where he overturned his own decision after seeing there had been no contact between the two players. After going in at the break trailing by a goal, Al-Hilal came out strongly for the second half and drew level when Koulibaly headed a Neves corner down to Marcos Leonardo who poked home. Al-Hilal's Brazilian full back Renan Lodi had a let off when his poor backpass fell straight at the feet of German Cano but the Fluminense striker's attempt to round Bounou was denied by the smart work of the Moroccan keeper. But the outcome was settled with 20 minutes remaining when half-time sub Hercules saw a shot from distance blocked but from the loose ball Samuel headed the ball back to the forward who raced into the box and fired past Bounou to make it 2-1. Al-Hilal produced a flurry of corners and some intense pressure in the final minutes as they desperately sought a way to keep their dream alive but the Brazilians were good value for their victory.
