Saudi forces join ‘Desert Flag' air drill in UAE
The Royal Saudi Air Force and Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces are among units taking part in the exercise, which will continue for several weeks at Al-Dhafra Air Base.
Other countries participating are Qatar, Bahrain, Turkiye, the US, France, South Korea, the UK, Australia, India, and Germany.
Commander of the air force contingent, Lt. Col. Pilot Faisal Al-Marwani, said preparations were carried out in line with approved safety standards for military exercises.
Al-Marwani added that the Saudi Air Force deployed six F-15C fighters with full crews to exchange military expertise in realistic combat scenarios, enhance readiness, and strengthen international partnerships.
He said that the exercise includes various air maneuvers, such as defensive and offensive counter-air operations, close air support, and combat search and rescue.
The objectives include exchanging expertise in planning and execution, improving combat readiness, and strengthening ties with participating forces.

UN Says It Will 'Do All We Can' to Reach Starving People in Gaza during Israeli Pauses
United Nations teams will step up efforts to feed Palestinians in Gaza during pauses in designated areas announced on Sunday by Israel, UN aid chief Tom Fletcher said. "In contact with our teams on the ground who will do all we can to reach as many starving people as we can in this window," he said in a post on X reported Reuters. The Israeli military on Sunday began a limited pause in fighting in three populated areas of Gaza for 10 hours a day, part of a series of steps launched as concerns over surging hunger in the territory mount and as Israel faces a wave of international criticism over its conduct in the 21-month war. The military said it would begin a 'tactical pause' in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah and Muwasi, three areas of the territory with large populations, to 'increase the scale of humanitarian aid' entering the territory. The pause begins every day at 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time until further notice, beginning Sunday. The military also said that it would put in place secure routes for aid delivery and that it carried out aid airdrops into Gaza, which included packages of aid with flour, sugar and canned food, reported The Associated Press.

KSrelief distributes 3,989 food parcels in Afghanistan and Pakistan
RIYADH: The Kingdom's aid agency KSrelief recently distributed 3,989 food parcels to vulnerable people in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Saudi Press Agency reported earlier this week. In Afghanistan, 115 parcels were distributed in Omari Camp, at the Torkham border crossing in Nangarhar Province, to Afghan returnees from Pakistan. Meanwhile, in Pakistan, 3,874 food parcels were distributed to flood-affected communities, including in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (Haveli, Muzaffarabad, and Poonch), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Upper Dir and Torghar), and Punjab (Layyah district). A total of 27,094 vulnerable individuals benefited from the initiative, according to KSrelief.
