
Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed meets CEO of Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer
ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has met with Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, on the sidelines of the visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil to attend the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro.During the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities to expand collaboration with Embraer to open new avenues for knowledge exchange and talent development in the civil aviation industry.The meeting also covered supporting research and development in aviation, adopting advanced technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency, and providing technical support for commercial aircraft maintenance services, among other industry-related areas.
Founded in 1969, Embraer is the world's third-largest civil aircraft manufacturer, headquartered in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, Brazil.

The event will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. Organisers announced that the summit will run under the theme 'Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy.' It is organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO). WGES has established itself as a strategic platform for advancing climate action. It aims to empower societies that are vulnerable to the effects of climate change by offering practical solutions to enhance climate security. The 2025 edition will explore how modern technologies can support developing societies. It will focus on improving their ability to cope with climate challenges. The summit will highlight the role of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. This includes the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to: optimise renewable energy integration improve predictive analytics and emissions monitoring Energy storage solutions will also be discussed. In addition, the summit will address the importance of public-private collaboration in deploying green technologies. DEWA MD and CEO, and Chairman of WGEO, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, stated that holding WGES in Dubai reflects the UAE's commitment to supporting global climate action. He noted the summit's role in creating a space for discussing innovative technologies that can support the transition to a green economy. Al Tayer reported that climate change continues to threaten developing nations, many of which lack the infrastructure needed to withstand extreme weather. He emphasised the importance of integrating efforts and using emerging technologies in an inclusive manner to ensure climate security. He also highlighted that empowering communities with appropriate technologies is key. The summit will promote responsible innovation, enhance international cooperation, and help mobilise funding for practical climate solutions. WGES 2025 will also advocate for the transfer of technology and knowledge to less-prepared countries. Emirates A350 debuts in Dammam
8 July 2025 14:08 Dubai (Aletihad)Emirates has officially launched regular A350 operations to Dammam, making it Emirates' first destination in Saudi Arabia to be served by the all-new Airbus Emirates A350 will operate on flight EK 827 which takes off from Dubai at 7:30 am and arrives in Dammam at 7:50 am. The return flight, EK 828, departs Dammam at 9:20 am and lands in Dubai at 11:45 Emirates A350 features a three-class configuration with 312 seats, including 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 21 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 configuration, 259 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 layout. The aircraft is designed to enhance comfort on short and medium-haul flights, with wider cabins, higher ceilings, and a quieter in-flight experience. The deployment of the A350 to Dammam highlights Emirates' continued investment in the Kingdom, since it started operating over three decades ago. The airline currently serves four gateways in Saudi Arabia - Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina, and Dammam, with multiple daily flights, operated on a mix of the iconic A380s, B777s and the A350, offering convenient and seamless connectivity via Dubai to more than 140 Emirates' destinations, the Emirates A350 now flying to Dammam, the city joins a growing list of destinations to receive Emirates' newest aircraft, alongside Mumbai, Edinburgh, Bahrain, Colombo, Kuwait, Muscat, Tunis, Amman and Ahmedabad. Emirates has so far inducted eight A350s into its fleet with plans to deploy it to 17 destinations by the end of 2025.
