Noticeably, SaaS applications don't connect well with other software, creating separate 'islands' of data, making sharing information between different tools difficult.
Suppose your company uses QuickBooks Online for accounting and Shopify for the online store. If they don't integrate smoothly, sales data from Shopify must be manually exported and then imported into QuickBooks. The finance team will struggle to get a complete, up-to-date view of the company's sales and financials.

Salesforce's traditional CRM required significant manual input for tasks like lead prioritization or follow-ups. With Agentforce (and Agentforce 3, the company's latest installment), AI agents autonomously qualify leads, schedule emails and generate reports, transforming Salesforce into a proactive sales and service hub.
GitHub initially required developers to code and debug manually. Introducing GitHub Copilot, the company aims to create a system that can suggest code snippets and complete functions in real time.

Asked about Netflix's use of AI, Mr Sarandos said the technology has allowed productions with smaller budgets to use advanced visual effects. The generative AI used in The Eternauts helped its production team to complete a sequence 10 times faster than if they had used traditional special effects tools, he said. "The cost of it would just wouldn't have been feasible for a show in that budget." "That sequence actually is the very first [generative] AI final footage to appear on screen in a Netflix original series or film. So the creators were thrilled with the result," said Mr Sarandos. AI was among the key concerns raised during a Hollywood strike in 2023. During the three-month walkout, the Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists union called for tighter regulation of the use of AI.

KAWASAKI, Japan and NEW TAIPEI CITY, July 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Fujitsu Limited and Acer Medical Inc., a provider of AI-powered medical imaging and preventative medicine, today announced a collaborative agreement to develop "aiGait" powered by Uvance, a solution that leverages Fujitsu's advanced skeleton recognition AI technology to detect gait pattern abnormalities, and provide gait quantization to healthcare professionals to support the early diagnosis of dementia and Parkinson's disease. The technology is part of "Fujitsu Kozuchi for Vision" from the Fujitsu Uvance offering "AI Technologies and Solutions." The agreement, signed on June 25, 2025, has planned with initial testing at the daycare center attached to the Taipei Veterans Hospital. The testing will utilize cameras to capture data on patient movements, including standing up, sitting down, and walking, and will compare it with movements specific to dementia patients using skeleton recognition AI technology. The solution is expected to be introduced by Acer Medical to elderly care facilities across Taiwan by the end of 2025. By integrating Fujitsu's advanced skeleton recognition AI into its mobile-friendly solution, Acer Medical is transforming routine movements—like standing, sitting, and walking—into valuable clinical insights. The goal of Acer Medical is to help caregivers and clinicians detect subtle changes early, enabling timely intervention and improving patient outcomes. Citi, Ant International pilot AI-powered FX tool for clients to help cut hedging costs

SINGAPORE (Reuters) -Citigroup and Singapore-based financial technology firm Ant International have launched a pilot program using artificial intelligence to help clients better manage foreign exchange risk, the companies said on Friday. The program combines Citi's Fixed FX Rates solution, which is widely used by the banks' clients in sectors such as e-commerce, with Ant International's Falcon Time-Series Transformer model, an AI forecasting tool that helps businesses reduce hedging FX costs, according to a joint statement. The pilot program, developed initially for aviation clients, has already been used in live transactions with a major Asian airline able to reduce cost in its fixed FX hedging for online ticket sales, the companies said. "The 30% hedging cost savings Ant International has achieved for the pilot airline customer shows the cost efficiency that can be achieved with AI-enabled FX hedging," Kelvin Li, general manager of Platform Tech at Ant International, said. "We are excited to expand the solution with Citi to serve more businesses and industries," he added. Ant International is an affiliate of China's fin tech giant Ant Group, founded by billionaire Jack Ma. It provides global digital payment, digitisation and financial technology and has operations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. The launch came six months after Citi began rolling out new AI tools to be used by employees in eight countries, providing such access to 140,000 employees globally. Large banks have been using AI tools in more targeted ways. Morgan Stanley has a chatbot that helps financial advisors in interactions with clients, and Bank of America's virtual assistant Erica focuses on day-to-day transactions of retail clients.
