Boots shoppers floored by £10 serum that 'tightens' sagging jawlines and usually costs £35

Daily Mirror6 days ago
The product is specifically targeted at people who are looking for a lift in their skin and promises visible results within a week
Mature shoppers have been heaping praise on an affordable serum at Boots that 'tightens sagging jawlines', with skin looking 'lifted, toned and tighter' in as little as a week. Usually £34.95, the No7 Laboratories Firming Booster Serum has been reduced to a tenner for one day only as part of the health and beauty retailer's £10 Tuesday sale.
Typically sold for more than three times the price, the serum has been praised by skincare enthusiasts aged between 50 and 75, who were left 'amazed' by the results of the skincare hero. The brand says it's 'clinically proven for firmer looking and feeling skin ', and is one of No7's 'most concentrated' firming serums yet.
The standout anti-ageing ingredient is Matrixyl 3000+, which is No7's potent anti-ageing peptide technology, designed to restore a more youthful look to your skin. It's also powered by four times more firming complex than the brand's serums, specifically designed to target areas prone to sagging.
Other products on the beauty market offering similar results include the Prai Ageless Jawline Serum, which is £22 at M&S. Powered by a cocktail of hyaluronic acid, vitamins C&E, and peptide, Uplevity, the 'game-changing formula' helps skin defy gravity for a more sculpted and lifted appearance.
For those who prefer a cream to a serum, Trinny London's The Elevator is a popular choice. As well as working to smooth, firm and restructure for a visibly lifted, defined neck and décolleté, the £69 formula also contains encapsulated alpha arbutin to help prevent and visibly fade dark spots.

Product Description
The No7 serum, which also contains collagen-boosting hibiscus and hyaluronic acid to plump the skin, is made to be applied directly to areas that are most prone to loss of firmness including the neck and jawline. Boots claim that women who tested this product said it delivered the 'best results they had seen from a skincare product'.
One 57-year-old customer was 'amazed' by the results, commenting: "I can actually feel this working and it makes my cheekbones look amazing. I'm 57 years old. I stopped using it for a couple of weeks due to illness. I couldn't believe how my skin deteriorated. I started using this serum again and in no time my skin was really lifted. I'm amazed."
Meanwhile another shopper added: "This serum is awesome. I'm 52 and started seeing loose skin on my neck and tried this, after just a couple of weeks I started seeing some definite tightening. I'm in love with this product, it is a great price. I can only say great things about it. I feel this product will help me hide my age a little better. I have told my sisters about this and my best friends. The other women will have to find out on their own, I can't give all my secrets away."
'I am 70 years old and people honestly don't believe it, I absolutely love No7 products,' said a third.
Whilst some praised the applicator, others weren't impressed, with one shopper noting: "Of the 'extra' serums by no 7 I don't fully rate this product - the little roller balls are good but squeezing the serum from tube onto the applicator can be hit and miss as sometimes too much and if not enough squeezing again definitely results in too much. Not sure what can be done to improve the applicator though."
Another five star review read: 'I have been using this serum for a few months now and I can definitely see a difference in the firmness of my jawline which is showing some minor signs of sagging. This makes my skin feel so soft and absorbs beautifully. I also use other peptide serum and a moisturiser. It doesn't sit heavy on my skin and layers well. Happy with my purchase. I have combination sensitive perimenopause skin.'

I got rid of my deep forehead wrinkles with a 20p beauty buy – people accuse me of having Botox, my skin is so smooth

IF YOU'VE developed a deep set wrinkles and lines on your forehead, you might be looking for ways to smooth them out. Naturally, many beauty buffs may resort to Botox. 2 2 But there is no need to fork out on expensive fillers to achieve a youthful glow. One beauty lover fanatic has shared her secret go-to product for getting rid of stubborn forehead lines. And the dramatic before and after photos have blown TikTokers away. Laura Elle posted on her TikTok account, @lauraelle111, where she was raving about a wrinkle-busting product from the online marketplace Amazon. In the video, the dark-haired stunner thanked Frownies Anti-Wrinkle patches for knocking years off her appearance - and at £30 for 144 patches, they're a total bargain. The young beauty shared a snap of herself aged 25 before she started using the product and wrote: "I had a Botox consultation and it scared me. So I found a natural alternative that worked for me.'' Although Laura looked great in the first photo, it was clear she was suffering from some stubborn forehead wrinkles. The stunner, now 28, then shared another image where she showed off her jaw-dropping skin transformation. As if by magic, the once-stubborn wrinkles had vanished into thin air her radiant complexion was line-free. Raving about the bargain buy, she went on in the video: ''If you are looking for a natural Botox alternative, give frownies a try.'' My nan is 77 but doesn't look it - she swears by her boiling water hack & a £10 No7 buy for beautiful smooth skin How do Frownies work? According to Amazon, Frownies "train the underlying facial muscles to regain the strength and tone they have lost." You simply apply one of the patches to your skin and leave it for a minimum of three hours - making sure the patch is covering the entire wrinkle. To remove, you just wash off with warm water. How is celery juice an anti-ageing potion? Celery juice is packed with antioxidants like vitamin C and flavonoids, which combat free radicals that cause cellular damage and aging. Its high water content keeps your skin hydrated and plump, reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The anti-inflammatory compounds in celery, such as apigenin and luteolin, help reduce chronic inflammation linked to ageing. Rich in essential nutrients like vitamin K and potassium, celery juice supports overall skin health and body functions. Drinking celery juice regularly can complement a balanced diet and skincare routine, promoting a youthful glow from within. The product - which works out at just 20p per patch - is plant-based, non-irritating, non-comedogenic and safe for sensitive skin. And it's stood the test of time, having been available since 1889. In the clip, Laura also spilled the beans on her new skincare routine, writing: ''So it hasn't been one specific routine or one specific set of products for my overall skincare, except the forehead was frownies . ''What I did was I stopped tanning my face, started wearing sunscreen twice per day and double cleansing, milky toners, collagen masks and creams, retinol, vitamin C, varying moisturisers. ''I use different serums and I try a lot of brands! ''I discovered my skin needed and still needs a lot of moisture so I also use face sprays throughout the day and pack in moisturising products as much as possible.

If you have any concerns about a product you've bough for your child, you can check the official government product recalls and alerts page. Safety experts advise parents to regularly inspect children's toys for damage, strange smells, or any signs of mould, especially if they've been stored in damp areas. Your product recall rights Chief consumer reporter James Flanders reveals all you need to know. Product recalls are an important means of protecting consumers from dangerous goods. As a general rule, if a recall involves a branded product, the manufacturer would usually have lead responsibility for the recall action. But it's often left up to supermarkets to notify customers when products could put them at risk. If you are concerned about the safety of a product you own, always check the manufacturer's website to see if a safety notice has been issued. When it comes to appliances, rather than just food items, the onus is usually on you - the customer - to register the appliance with the manufacturer as if you don't there is no way of contacting you to tell you about a fault. If you become aware that an item you own has been recalled or has any safety noticed issued against it, make sure you follow the instructions given to you by the manufacturer. They should usually provide you with more information and a contact number on its safety notice. In some cases, the manufacturer might ask you to return the item for a full refund or arrange for the faulty product to be collected. You should not be charged for any recall work - such as a repair, replacement or collection of the recalled item
