Boots shoppers floored by £10 serum that 'tightens' sagging jawlines and usually costs £35
Mature shoppers have been heaping praise on an affordable serum at Boots that 'tightens sagging jawlines', with skin looking 'lifted, toned and tighter' in as little as a week. Usually £34.95, the No7 Laboratories Firming Booster Serum has been reduced to a tenner for one day only as part of the health and beauty retailer's £10 Tuesday sale.
Typically sold for more than three times the price, the serum has been praised by skincare enthusiasts aged between 50 and 75, who were left 'amazed' by the results of the skincare hero. The brand says it's 'clinically proven for firmer looking and feeling skin ', and is one of No7's 'most concentrated' firming serums yet.
The standout anti-ageing ingredient is Matrixyl 3000+, which is No7's potent anti-ageing peptide technology, designed to restore a more youthful look to your skin. It's also powered by four times more firming complex than the brand's serums, specifically designed to target areas prone to sagging.
Other products on the beauty market offering similar results include the Prai Ageless Jawline Serum, which is £22 at M&S. Powered by a cocktail of hyaluronic acid, vitamins C&E, and peptide, Uplevity, the 'game-changing formula' helps skin defy gravity for a more sculpted and lifted appearance.
For those who prefer a cream to a serum, Trinny London's The Elevator is a popular choice. As well as working to smooth, firm and restructure for a visibly lifted, defined neck and décolleté, the £69 formula also contains encapsulated alpha arbutin to help prevent and visibly fade dark spots.

Product Description
The No7 serum, which also contains collagen-boosting hibiscus and hyaluronic acid to plump the skin, is made to be applied directly to areas that are most prone to loss of firmness including the neck and jawline. Boots claim that women who tested this product said it delivered the 'best results they had seen from a skincare product'.
One 57-year-old customer was 'amazed' by the results, commenting: "I can actually feel this working and it makes my cheekbones look amazing. I'm 57 years old. I stopped using it for a couple of weeks due to illness. I couldn't believe how my skin deteriorated. I started using this serum again and in no time my skin was really lifted. I'm amazed."
Meanwhile another shopper added: "This serum is awesome. I'm 52 and started seeing loose skin on my neck and tried this, after just a couple of weeks I started seeing some definite tightening. I'm in love with this product, it is a great price. I can only say great things about it. I feel this product will help me hide my age a little better. I have told my sisters about this and my best friends. The other women will have to find out on their own, I can't give all my secrets away."
'I am 70 years old and people honestly don't believe it, I absolutely love No7 products,' said a third.
Whilst some praised the applicator, others weren't impressed, with one shopper noting: "Of the 'extra' serums by no 7 I don't fully rate this product - the little roller balls are good but squeezing the serum from tube onto the applicator can be hit and miss as sometimes too much and if not enough squeezing again definitely results in too much. Not sure what can be done to improve the applicator though."
Another five star review read: 'I have been using this serum for a few months now and I can definitely see a difference in the firmness of my jawline which is showing some minor signs of sagging. This makes my skin feel so soft and absorbs beautifully. I also use other peptide serum and a moisturiser. It doesn't sit heavy on my skin and layers well. Happy with my purchase. I have combination sensitive perimenopause skin.'

The 'miracle in a bottle' Nivea anti-wrinkle serum is said to 'reverse skin age in two weeks'
This anti-ageing serum has been crafted with a break-through ingredient after 15 years of scientific research. The world of anti-ageing skincare is packed with lotions and potions. More choice is a bit of a double-edged sword, as that means it can be hard to find one that actually works. However, it looks like Nivea has cracked the secret to "youthful, plumped" skin with its Cellular Epigenetics Age Rewind Face Serum that costs £34.99 for a 30ml on Amazon and Boots. Formulated after 15 years of research, this serum has been crafted with break-through ingredient Epicelline, an ingredient in epigenetics science that is said to "rewind skin age in two weeks." It does so by 'reactivating' older skin cells' youth functions through patented age technology, making them act more like the younger versions of themselves, leading to a "100 percent proven more youthful appearance." That's not all, it also contains three types of hyaluronic acid to help hydrate the skin, targeting 10 signs of ageing including wrinkles, firmness, radiance, moisture, elasticity and plumpness. It's not the only product backed by science, as Boots No7 Future Renew Serum boasts the world's first peptide technology to "reverse" the signs of ageing, with a 50ml costing £47.95. Another powerful, yet proven to work, product on the market is Medik8's Crystal Retinal range that is priced from £45. Using the brand's patented vitamin A derivative, it is said to act "11 times faster" than regular retinol. As for the Nivea Epigenetics Serum, it doesn't currently have any reviews on Amazon, but we have spotted it with two five-star reviews on the Boots website. One shopper said: "I very rarely leave a review but this is a miracle in a bottle. I am over 50 and have tried many many lotions and potions to help with ageing and over the years I've spent a lot. "But this little bottle is amazing. I have literally used it 3 days so far and I can see a noticeable difference. This is now my new go to serum. Amazing." The second read: "Absolutely love this product and the texture when applying it onto the skin. It is super lightweight and leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated after the first use. I am excited to see further results as I continue to use the product." While we haven't spotted any negative reviews, it is worth noting that, unlike a few other Amazon purchases, it is not available for next day delivery, with purchases taking a couple of days to arrive. Beauty deal of the week YSL Black Opium remains an iconic perfume - and we know where to bag the newest edition for its cheapest price. The YSL BLack Opium Le Parfum offers a more vanilla-heavy fragrance that has been hailed as "intoxicating" in reviews, with a 50ml now half-price at Boots after being dropped from £115 to £57.50. Massive saving aside, it's the cheapest it can be bought for at the moment, as rival retailers Superdrug, Lookfantastic and The Perfume Shop still stock it at full-price. This interpretation of the iconic perfume was only launched in 2022, with its original floral gourmand fragrance still offering its famed notes that include pear accord, green mandarin, orange flower petals, jasmine sambac and cinnamon. However, the iconic coffee accord has been twisted with four different, yet still complimentary, notes of vanilla, which is said to be its most important ingredient, to create an "unexpected smoothness, with uncompromising intensity." Meanwhile, the unique glossy bottle that has been crafted from a precious black stone, with its dazzling glitter emblem at the heart, eludes to the luxuriousness of the fragrance contained within. As for the YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, Boots shoppers wanting to take advantage of the half-price discount will be glad to hear it has amassed a 4.7 rating from thousands of customers who say it "lasts all day" and "literally turns heads" when it is worn. One five-star review read: "I love the fragrance. I used a lot the first time, not realising how intense it was. It lasts all day and continues to smell great. I literally turn heads when I wear it." Don't miss Boots' half-price discount on the YSL Black Opium Le Parfum (50ml) that is now £57.50, down from £115. On Trustpilot, quite a few beauty enthusiasts have more mixed opinions on the skincare brand in general. One shopper who left a three-star review did urge the firm to "revise" its range of products. They added: "They didn't help me to moisturise my face even if it's states that the cream is moisturising, lol. Nevertheless, I should pay homage to this company as it has a vast line of different products." Meanwhile, a few others did leave the company quite a few negative comments, with stating "formula changes" to their favourite products, such as the Nivea Crème, and customer service as reasons for their feedback. Pharmacist issues vaccine warning to Brits heading on holiday this year
Tourists heading abroad this summer have been urged to consider what vaccinations are recommended for their destination. Holidaymakers jetting off to tropical climates could be exposed to diseases their immune systems aren't used to. Though there aren't mandatory vaccines for some countries, Brits are advised to check any requirements before travelling. Boots pharmacist Claire Nevinson explained the urgency of travellers protecting their health when going abroad. 'It's important to take steps to protect our health when we travel abroad so we can focus on enjoying our holiday,' she said. 'Travel vaccinations may be recommended depending on where you are travelling, the activities you will be doing, and your age and general health.' The healthcare company revealed the most common diseases customers were seeking advice on included Japanese encephalitis, rabies and hepatitis A. More than a third of travellers are planning to jet off to long-haul locations this year, according to Boots, including with Thailand, India and China. Claire added: 'If you're travelling abroad this summer, you may be exposed to diseases we don't usually have in the UK. 'Travel vaccinations may be recommended for your trip as a measure to help prevent you picking these illnesses up. 'The childhood vaccination programme in the UK provides protection from several diseases, but it may also be necessary to consider boosters or other vaccinations if you're planning to visit certain parts of the world.' The pharmacist advised that holidaymakers should consider taking medications with them on their travels too. Claire recommended several items including antihistamines and pain relief, regardless of the destination. 'Whether you're jetting off or keeping it local this summer, it's always wise to pack a few healthcare products depending on the destination you're travelling to,' she said. 'A small first aid kit may be a good start. You could consider including pain relief medicine, antihistamine medicine to help relieve symptoms of hayfever and other allergies, plasters, antiseptic cream, insect repellent and of course broad-spectrum sunscreen with a minimum of SPF30. 'It's also important to make sure you have an adequate supply of any prescription medicines that you take. 'Additionally, I'd always check whether you might need medication to help prevent malaria. 'It is important that antimalarials are started before you travel to a place where you might be at risk.'
