M&S' 'cutest' £8 Percy Pig item with 'shimmering' effect 'impossible to resist'
M&S shoppers are loving a "shimmering" £8 Percy Pig product that fans say is "impossible to resist." The retailer's Percy Pig Bath Elixir has gone down a treat with customers, causing a stir on social media.
The themed product has been featured in various viral social media posts, including a recent Facebook post by Dansway Gifts and Bargains UK. The Facebook page told shoppers: "Shimmering Percy Pig Bubble Bath found at M&S." Elsewhere, UK Supermarket Offers & Deals This Week by Dansway also highlighted the bubble bath.
The post said: "How cool is this Shimmering Percy Pig Bubble Bath that is available at M&S…." and viewers loved what they saw. Replying to the posts, fans couldn't wait to try the product. One excited shopper said: "This is just the cutest."
A second Percy Pig fan replied: "How beautiful I love this thanks so much for sharing." A third wrote: "I want this!!" A similar comment read: "We need." Someone else commented: "Omg."
Elsewhere, some viewers mistook the bubble bath for a different product. One such reply read: "I thought this was Percy Pig gin." Another viewer echoed this, saying: "I thought that was gin."
A product description is available on M&S' website. While the £8 product is out of stock on M&S' site, shoppers can still browse the product details and reviews. M&S says: "This Percy Pig elixir turns bathtime into a sparkling, sweet-scented retreat.
"The shimmery bubble bath not only fills the tub with mountains of fluffy bubbles but also creates an irresistible aroma of a freshly opened bag of Percy Pig treats." The Percy Pig Bath Elixir 500ml has received an average rating of 4.8 out of five.
One impressed reviewer said: "Fabulous! It's impossible to resist Percy: he never fails to make anyone smile." Someone else gushed: "Bought as a gift and kept it for myself as a Saturday night treat - lovely bottle, lovely colour, lovely scent and bubbly!"
Another fan wrote: "Kids will love it, big and small. Great colour in a lovely bottle - smells delicious!" However, a less pleased buyer said: "Brought this to gift to my little cousin who loves Peppa Pig. However, the plastic bottle isn't as substantial as I would like."
For shoppers keen to order the product, Ocado offers the M&S Percy Pig Bath Elixir for £8. The description says the bubble bath has caramel, vanilla, and strawberry fragrance notes, among others. Alternatively, shoppers can locate their nearest store here.
Similar items listed on M&S' website include This Works' Deep Sleep Beauty Soak for £28, Bloom and Blossom's Bubbles & Sleep Gentle Baby Bubble Bath 500ml for £12, and Cowshed's Sleep Bath Salts 300g for £24. However, several products are currently out of stock online.

East Lothian parking protest video slamming council plans goes viral
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info An AI generated protest song against plans to introduce parking charges in an East Lothian town has received more than 12,000 views on Facebook. The song, which was created using Artificial Intelligence by local man Jonathan Duncan, accompanies a video created by his mum in response to the council's plans to put meters in the town centre and introduce residents permits. East Lothian Council is currently consulting on parking charge plans for towns across the county with work already underway to introduce them in North Berwick. The proposals, which the council say aim to encourage drivers not to overstay their welcome and free up spaces, have led to angry meetings where local residents have raised concerns about the impact on local businesses. Debz Duncan has shared videos of Dunbar town centre on social media showing spaces available at different times of the day and Jonathan used an AI created song and music to accompany one of them. With lyrics that accuse the local authority of treating the town as a 'cash buffet' and warn of council 'spin' it says "the council's plans are a bad disguise, a money grab wrapped in a bunch of lies" and includes a catchy chorus warning the town does not need or want the charges. Local residents have praised the music video which has been shared nearly 100 times and viewed 12,000 times on the social media channel. One said "so catchy" while another added "great song". East Lothian Council says no decisions have been taken on the parking charge proposals and they are 'listening' to the responses from members of the public in the towns. However Provost John McMillan has been putting the case to residents at a series of meetings across the county where the audience were given red cards to express their dislike of what they heard and green to hold up for what they like. At a meeting in Haddington last month, where Councillor McMillan faced objectors he told the audience that at Dunbar's public meeting he received a red card from someone in the audience before he even began speaking. The council says the proposals will "incentivise people to use more sustainable forms of transport such as the local bus network, cycling, wheeling or walking while also raising revenue to ensure parking can be fully enforced." It adds: "After that, any remaining revenue will be reinvested back into the local transport network and services."

Aldi 'launch' rival to M&S's strawberry sandwich and fans are loving it
Aldi has never been one to shy away from poking fun at its competitors. When Marks and Spencer reckon they're ahead of the game, Aldi is always ready with a clever marketing trick up their sleeve. It's been a tricky few months for M&S after a cyber attack forced the retailer to axe all online orders. The fallout led to M&S making a loss on this year's profits by around £300million. The high street favourite also faces legal action from Scottish customers after it was confirmed the data breach saw personal information stolen. Things seem to be improving for M&S, with a partial return to online sales last month and Chief Exec Stuart Machin said to have reported to shareholders that all online orders and shopping operations should be back up and running in August. But despite all the good press around the buzzworthy strawberry sandwich, M&S has again become the butt of the joke after Aldi - once again - re-launched their supermarket feud, reports the Mirror. The budget retailer is known for its witty social media banter, especially at the expense of M&S, and took another cheeky yet amusing dig at their rival. Following the Colin Vs Cuthbert caterpillar cake debacle, Aldi has now taken aim at the strawberry and cream sandwich. True to form, Aldi responded to M&S's new creation by 'launching' their own spoof sando, mocking their rival's posh version. The German supermarket's version features carrots and cream on a soft sweetened loaf. They shared their new concoction on social media, parodying the iconic M&S slogan - just to twist the knife a bit further. They wrote: "This is not just any sando... this is a Carrot and Creme Sando. 500K likes and we'll make it happen." Although it's not a legitimate item yet, Aldi may have to stock it if they reach their 500,000-like target. M&S had popularised the slang term 'sando' when they introduced their Chicken Katsu Sando last year, and Aldi's engagement in the viral sensation has won over shoppers with their playful jab at their rival. One fan remarked on the post: "Can always count on Aldi to have a sense of humour," prompting Aldi to respond: "Love a good bit of tomfoolery." Another keen Aldi enthusiast added: "I've been waiting for Aldi's response on this," while a third quipped: "Guaranteed to make you see in the dark!" Aldi humorously guaranteed: "100% night vision or your money back." A fourth joked: "Easy now, wouldn't want any beef in that sandwich," prompting a cheeky retort from Aldi: "Oh, we've always got beef!". This follows Aldi's playful name change at one of their Manchester stores in anticipation of the Oasis reunion concert. The supermarket paid homage by altering the name of its Bury New Road store in Prestwich to 'Aldeh'. The brand explained that the temporary rebranding is a nod to the Mancunian way of pronouncing its name and serves as a tribute to the Gallagher brothers and the city's rich musical legacy. Aldi has announced that the sign will be proudly displayed during Oasis ' eagerly anticipated return to Manchester. It has been hinted that fans have already lined up outside the store to snap pictures with the new sign in honour of the band. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Ellie would have been one of her VIPs and has been by her side as her fame has exploded. But Hannah revealed she won't be cancelling and in an emotional tribute she vowed to play on in memory of her tragic friend. Hannah said: 'I write this with a broken heart. It doesn't feel real. "My best mate is gone and now a piece of me too. Words can't comprehend it. 'You weren't just my friend, you were my sister. Everyone would always comment on how our personalities were so similar. 'You were of course supposed to be coming to Doof in the Park on Saturday. I know you would want me to power on. This one is for you. 'Love you always Ellie. Rest in peace my sister. I'll carry you with me forever.' Hannah, 30, was a DJ on the side in local pubs and clubs as she worked full-time in a dentist's surgery before her hobby took over. She's now one of the biggest DJ's in the world and jets around the globe to play sold-out gigs. We just tied the knot at Glastonbury in front of 500 strangers - I wore a £27 Shein dress & we saved £20K on the DJ too This year she got a residency at exclusive Ibiza club HI, and is one of the first females to get the top gig. But she's always wanted to do something in Dundee and set about creating Doof in the Park, at the city's Camperdown Park. Big names including Armin Van Buren and Judge Jules, among many others, will take to the three stages on Saturday. The 15,000 tickets sold out within a week. Proud Hannah has been involved in every aspect of the festival, from the toilets down to the food trucks. Her parents, grandparents and friends will be with her as she plays for her hometown crowd. But she opened up to fans and told how her plans have taken an unexpected knock after Ellie's death. Hannah said the pair had been inseparable over the years. Hannah added: 'We went through every stage of life together. You were at my first ever gig. 'You always had my back - loyal to the core. I'll cherish those mischievous memories for the rest of my life. 'I'll miss your kindness, your craziness and your wild stories. You were the funniest, wittiest person I have ever met. Your charisma was f*****g infectious.' Gill Young runs street food diner The Shack in Dundee and is heading to Doof in the Park after being invited by Hannah. She called on fans to rally behind the DJ and help pay tribute to Ellie. Gill said: 'Two kids who have grown up so close they became sisters. "They've been through it all together, supporting each other all the way. 'This Saturday, Hannah has the biggest night of her life and to not have Ellie there is going to be so heartbreaking, 'But Dundee we are gonna be there. And for these twa wee legends who have fought so hard in this life and to be parted at this point we will chant their names so loud they will hear us in ibiza. 'We always come together with love and positive vibes. We are famous for it.'
