British & Irish Lions soar to Australia on special QA flight ahead of 2025 tour

The British & Irish Lions squad departed Dublin on Saturday on a special flight aboard Qatar Airways Boeing 777 en route to Australia via Doha, marking the beginning of the much-anticipated Qatar Airways British & Irish Lions Tour to Australia 2025.
Members of the squad and management team, led by Head Coach Andy Farrell, boarded the aircraft from Dublin Airport's North Runway, following their warm-up fixture against Argentina at Aviva Stadium. Among the travelling party were familiar faces including Captain - Maro Itoje, and breakout talent - Henry Pollock, alongside other members of the England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales national teams.
The special flight, operated by Qatar Airways - the Official Title Partner and Official Airline Partner of the Tour – featured the airline's award-winning Qsuite and Starlink-powered high-speed Wi-Fi, ensuring a connected and comfortable journey for the Lions squad as they head Down Under.
As the nine-time Skytrax World's Best Airline, Qatar Airways is proud to connect the Lions to Australia through its Doha hub, offering a premium inflight experience to match the occasion.

Visit Qatar concludes Qatar Goodwood Festival with world-class racing, cultural celebrations
Tribune News Network Doha The Qatar Goodwood Festival presented by Visit Qatar concluded after a week of outstanding racing, cultural celebration, and strategic dialogue, further reinforcing Qatar's commitment to international sporting excellence and bilateral cooperation with the United Kingdom. Among the racing highlights was the Qatar International Stakes (Group 1 – Purebred Arabian) held on July 30th where Al Ghadeer delivered a dominant performance to take the win. In the presence of President of the Qatar Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Doha 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games Bid, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, the trophies were presented by Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Chair of Board of Directors of Visit Qatar, Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji; and CEO of Visit Qatar, Eng. MoCI orders recall of 2021–2024 models of Jaguar E-PACE 2.0i4 R-Dynamic SE
Tribune News Network Doha The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Alfardan Premier Motors, the authorised dealer of Jaguar vehicles in Qatar, has announced the recall of Jaguar E-PACE 2.0i4 R-Dynamic SE models from 2021 to 2024. The recall is due to a potential defect in the passenger airbags, which may rupture during deployment and release hot gases, posing a risk of burns to occupants. The MoCI said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs. The ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
