Sam Thompson makes major dating decision after Samie and Zara splits

Daily Mirror8 hours ago
Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson hasn't had the best of luck in his love life this year as he split from girlfriend of five years Zara McDermott and new fling Samie Elishi
Sam Thompson had made a very telling decision following his recent setbacks in his love life. The former Made in Chelsea star, 32, has suffered double heartbreak this year following his splits from Zara McDermott and Samie Elishi.
He had enjoyed a five-year long romance with Love Island's Zara as they even set up home together next door to his sister Louise Thompson in their beloved Chelsea. Things came crashing down over the new year, which came as a shock to fans.

Zara has swiftly moved on with One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, while a 'blindsided' Sam also appeared ready to get back into the dating pool. He embarked on a romance with another Love Island star, Samie.

They were seen locking lips in the street just a few weeks ago, yet last month called it quits with a source telling us: "They both have busy lives, it just didn't work out." Hours after the breakup, Sam was spotted back on celebrity dating app Raya.
However, it seems Sam has been unable to find a connection on the app full of famous faces. He has made the decision to stay single for a while and is not going to rush into another romance.
Speaking on his Staying Relevant podcast, Sam said: "I'm going to work on myself. No dating, I'm not ready and I've realised that." His sister Louise has already shared her wishes for his next partner as they need to be "classy" or "well to do".
The former Made In Chelsea star shared: "Louise thinks I should go out with Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in Harry Potter." However, best mate Pete Wicks joked: "I think you have more chance with the ginger fella."
Sam added: "Ron! No, Louise thinks I should go for British thespian because she thinks its a little different, classy is the wrong word, but well to do."

He met Samie during an episode of Love Island's Aftersun earlier this year. In May, the pair were spotted in an intimate embrace outside the birthday party of Olivia Attwood, held at Mayfair's Bacchanalia.
Cupping Samie's face in his hands, Sam seemed oblivious to onlookers as his fans got quietly excited that a new romance was on the cards. Samie seemed positive about the relationship as she discussed her exes on the Chloe Mediumship podcast.

Revealing she had a "gut feeling" in the past about things that 'weren't mean to be', she said she was feeling good about her relationship, saying: "There's been no bad stuff at the minute so yeah I suppose it is all positive right now. It's early days."
Sam was also keen to date before his setback as he told Pete he was "ready to get out there". He previously admitted: "I feel like I'm at a stage now where I feel confident enough that I can start approaching females."
He added: "I feel good, things are really really nice at the moment. And I feel like I'm happy. There's no more brave faces," causing Pete to proudly declare: 'Sam's ready to date!'."

Disappointed TV chef urges Love Island to 'do better' after 'damaging' scenes

TV chef Lorraine Pascale has hit out at Love Island over what she believes to be 'tokenism' after Alima was dumped from the villa and Billykiss coupled up with Conor TV chef Lorraine Pascale has shared her opinion, claiming Love Island is 'reinforcing the idea there's only room for one Black cast member' at a time after newbie Billykiss Azeez replaced OG contestant Alima Gagigo. The recent episode saw Alima and bombshell Ryan Bannister get kicked out of the villa in a double elimination. As per the show's format, the stars chose who to partner up with in the recoupling. Conor Phillips chose to couple up with Billykiss after they bonded during their first date, leaving Alima single and dumped from the villa. This Morning chef Lorraine took to her X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain about the show's "tokenism", writing: "Wow @LoveIsland. You finally cast a Black woman who was thriving, and then you replace her with another Black woman? ‌ READ MORE: Boots' new 'by far the best' range including gut powder that 'really helps with bloating' ‌ "This isn't representation, it's tokenism. You're reinforcing the idea that there's only room for one of us at a time. That's not diversity - that's damage. Do better." It is understood ITV refutes any suggestion that any editorial decision it makes is based on race Some fans shared how Alima could have been saved, with one user writing: "This is actually Ben's fault when you think about it cause if he really liked Alima he would've recouped with her a few days ago, then Connor and Helena would've been coupled up and she would've been dumped tonight." "Bro, they should've asked if anyone wanted to couple up, Ben would've stood up for Alima, Helena would've been finally dumped ffs we were so close ugh," another said. During her time in the villa, Alima formed a connection with Remell; however, it came crashing down when she learnt he had shared a number of kisses with Poppy at the sleepover. ‌ Upon her exit, Alima has spoken out about where she stands with Remell on the outside, and all things villa life. "Remell and I were getting stronger and stronger by the day," she said of their relationship. "When he got the text about the sleepover, I was with him, and as soon as he started smiling. ‌ "I knew this guy; he wasn't going to be up to any good. When I saw the clip, from that moment on, I knew it would take a lot for us to go back to how we were before. I wasn't surprised by his behaviour at all." She was asked whether she'd be open to having a conversation with Remell after leaving the show. She said: "I don't hate him and I'm more than happy to be civil, he was part of my experience after all! But in terms of anything romantic, I'll keep myself away from that." ‌ After Remell left the villa, Alima found a connection with Ben, but her time was cut short before they could really give it a go. However, Alima's departure doesn't mean the end of the road for the couple. "I want to see how he acts now that I'm not there and if he finds a connection. If he comes back single, I would be interested in seeing if there's something we could continue…" she teased.

This year sees Canadian superstar Drake headline all three dates, with performances from Burna Boy, Summer Walker and more. Here's the official list of banned items ahead of this year's event - including just how big of a camera you can bring to take photos of the event. There's still an air of mystery only a week out from this year's Wireless Festival, taking place at Finsbury Park from July 11 to July 13, 2025. Over the last number of months, we've known that Drake is set to headline all three days at the festival, along with support from a wide range of acts including British grime collective Boy Better Know. However, with time running out, there have yet to be any other acts fully confirmed for the festival – leading to speculation about who 'could' perform. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad But one thing is for certain – once again, a number of items have been officially banned from bringing with you to the festival. From the obvious items to some more obscure rules regarding certain paraphernalia, we've pulled together the entire list of prohibited items as stipulated in the terms and conditions when picking up a ticket. We also take a look at if you can take photos this year, and additional guidance regarding what to do if you happen to be a vaper – to bring one or not? Here's everything you need to know – and definitely shouldn't bring with you – to ensure your Wireless experience goes off without a hitch, or holding people up during the inevitable bag searches taking place this year. Yes, photographic and other recording equipment is permitted if it is for personal non-commercial use only. However, it's important to note the restrictions on cameras: unauthorised cameras, film or video equipment are strictly prohibited, including but not limited to camera stands, lenses (must be less than 6 inches), and selfie sticks. Professional cameras and video/audio equipment are also strictly prohibited. The event organizers reserve the right to charge a licence fee for any commercial use of photographs/visual/audio recordings taken at the Event. The use of drones (including toy drones) is prohibited without written permission. Can I vape at Wireless 2025? Due to the UK ban on single-use disposable vapes that has taken place this month, you will not be able to bring them with you to Wireless 2025 (they are on the current banned items list.) However, use of resusable vapes or vape pods should be permitted similar to the guidance offered from other music festival this year.
