Cultural Symposium on Commemoration of Ashura – Al-Hali District, Al-Hodeidah

Saba Yemen2 days ago
Hodeida - Saba:
The local authority, in cooperation with the General Mobilization, the Guidance Sector, and the Scholars Unit in Al-Hali District, Al-Hodeidah Governorate, organized a cultural symposium on the occasion of Ashura and the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at Al-Aswadi Mosque.
The symposium addressed the revolution of Imam Hussein as a faith-based and pivotal moment in the nation's history, carrying lessons in confronting injustice and deviation.
It linked the events of Karbala to contemporary reality, particularly the failure and inaction regarding Zionist crimes in Palestine.
It emphasized that the Husseini stance is a standard of dignity and honor in the face of tyranny.
It emphasized that commemorating Ashura is not just a ritual, but an educational and mobilization event where insights are restored in a time of loss.
It emphasized that the banner of Imam Hussein and the banner of Palestine are raised in the same trench of resistance and steadfastness. The symposium emphasized the need to draw inspiration from the meanings of Karbala in confronting injustice and betrayal, and to build awareness that strengthens support for the nation's causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.

Armed Forces carry out joint military operation with 11 missiles, drone

[Mon, 07 Jul 2025 11:50:35 +0300] Sana'a - Saba: Our air defense succeeded in confronting the Zionist aggression against our country and thwarting its plan to target a number of Yemeni cities. This was achieved by forcing a number of combat formations participating in the aggression to leave the airspace, preventing them from launching raids. The counter-attack was carried out with a number of locally manufactured surface-to-air missiles. In retaliation to this aggression, and in continuation of triumphing for the oppressed Palestinian people, the missile and UAV forces carried out a joint military operation using eleven missiles and drones, distributed as follows: Targeting Lod Airport with a "Palestine 2" hypersonic ballistic missile. Targeting the Ashdod Port with a hypersonic ballistic missile. Targeting the power station in the occupied Ashkelon area using a hypersonic ballistic missile. Targeting the Umm al-Rashrash Port using eight drones. The Yemeni Armed Forces confirm that the missiles and drones have successfully reached their targets, and that the interceptor systems failed to intercept them. The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm that the Yemen of those who trust in Allah and rely on Allah submits and kneels only to Allah. The criminal enemy will realize that the aggression against beloved Yemen will cost it dearly and will only push the Yemenis toward greater steadfastness and perseverance, and to more supportive operations for the oppressed Palestinian people. Yemen, with its loyal people, faithful leadership, and struggling army, is fully prepared to thwart all enemy military plans. We are fully prepared for a sustained and prolonged confrontation, to confront hostile warplanes, and to counter attempts to break the naval blockade imposed by our armed forces on the enemy, in triumphing for our people in Gaza. With Allah' help, we will continue to fulfill our religious, moral, and humanitarian duty by supporting the oppressed Palestinian people in the proud and dignified Gaza Strip until the aggression against them stops and the blockade is lifted.
