Missed out on Adidas's cow print sambas? This is when they'll be back in stock

Independent4 days ago
From cowboy boots and fringing to bootleg jeans and suede, the fashion world is going wild for Western-inspired style right now. But Adidas took things one step further earlier this year when it dropped a new style of trainer featuring an all-over cow print.
Putting a fresh spin on the ubiquitous samba and the sleek SL72 style, the bold print was an exclusive for Asos and sold out in all sizes within a day.
So, has cow print officially stolen leopard print's crown? Rearing its head at Copenhagen Fashion Week in January, it went on to dominate street style looks in New York, coating everything from handbags to heels.
A playful take on the Western aesthetic, cowboy print rose to prominence in the Sixties among bohemian dressers before having a comeback in the Nineties thanks to the decade's maximalism. Now, it's returned again as a direct challenge to the clean girl and quiet luxury trends. There are plenty of ways to wear it, from mini skirts and ballet flats to trousers. But if you prefer a more understated pop of cow print, trainers are the way to go.
The good news is that the Adidas x Asos range is being restocked imminently. Here's everything you need to know. Adidas Originals samba trainers in cow print: £90, Asos.com
(Adidas)
A fashionable spin on the hugely popular trainers, these Adidas sambas are designed to be a style statement in their own right. Characterised by an all-over cow print, the trainer features the signature white three stripe detailing, tongue and heel, while chocolate brown laces and a pink leather lining add a playful touch.
The trainers sold out within a day before, but will be back in stock on 1 August 2025 – so, mark the date in your calendar. Adidas Originals SL 72 OG trainers in cow print: £90, Asos.com
(Asos)
A fresh alternative to the prevalent Adidas samba, the SL72 trainers boast a more streamlined silhouette. Reminiscent of trainers from Adidas's archive in 1972, the design of this style is low profile and slick with a playful cow print finish, pink pops on the sole and black laces. Featuring the brand's instantly recognisable three stripes and trefoil logo, the trainers marry comfort and style.
Trust us, the print is more wearable than you might think. Whether you play it safe with an all-denim look (lean into the Western feel) or experiment with colour by pairing them with red, blue or butter-yellow pieces, the monochrome print is sure to add intrigue to your look. The trainers are back in stock on 1 August 2025.

Pamela Anderson and co-star Liam Neeson recreate iconic Titanic scene at Naked Gun premiere in Berlin after sparking romance rumours

Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson recreated a memorable Titanic scene at the Naked Gun premiere in Berlin amid rumours they are dating. The Baywatch icon, 58, and the Taken actor, 73. appeared at the UCI Luxe East Side Gallery on Thursday for the latest screening on the promotional trail. The pair star in the upcoming crime spoof comedy film together, with Pamela playing Beth and Liam portraying Frank Drebin Jr. Following in the footsteps of his bumbling father, Detective Frank Drebin Jr. must solve a murder case to prevent the police department from shutting down. Rumours have been swirling recently that the pair are seeing each other, however it has been suggested since that they merely have a close friendship. The chemistry between the pair is clear to see as Pamela shared a photo on her Instagram of the two messing around on a boat. In the video, Pamela acted as Rose during the iconic scene in the Titanic, as Liam held her waist from behind in the role of leading man Jack. Pamela looked stunning in a dark green strapless gown which featured a neck scarf. Liam wore a grey suit and looked smart as he hugged her from behind. She penned as the caption: 'From the London to Berlin… this tour has been full of smiles, laughter, and so much love... Thank you to everyone who came out to giggle with us (and watch on the big screen). NYC next!' On Tuesday, the alleged couple couldn't keep their hands off each other during the red carpet premiere in London. Fans have been unsure about the status of the co-stars' relationship after Liam admitted he 'loved' Pamela earlier this year - ahead of the film's release on 1 August. They further fuelled speculation as they put on a passionate display, cosying up on the red carpet. For the outing, Pamela stunned in a strapless purple gown with a flowing train and accessorised with dainty dazzling jewels. The pair appeared in good spirits as the actress planted a sweet kiss on Liam's cheek while they posed for the cameras. It comes after Liam joked that his favourite part of making the film was filming 'the sex scenes' with his co-star Pamela. He joked about their intimate scenes as The Sun reported the pair were given an intimacy co-ordinator on set. The star explained: 'I'd never had one before. But she was in the background. There was no kind of, 'OK! Excuse me!'. Pamela portrays a nightclub singer, who comes to Police Squad for help following the murder of her brother, in Akiva Schaffer's slapstick comedy continuation. Pamela added that the intimacy co-ordinator knew when to walk away and joked that she stormed off, with Liam claiming she threw her hands up in the air and said, 'I can't take this! This is too hot for me. I'm going for coffee'.
