'The Joel Klatt Show' Heads to Columbus Ahead of Ohio State-Texas

Next stop, Columbus!
That's right, "The Joel Klatt Show" is going back out on the road. Join Joel Klatt and special guests in the heart of Ohio State's campus for a live edition of the show on Aug. 28, two days before the Buckeyes host Texas — two of the top teams in Klatt's newly released preseason rankings — to open the 2025 college football season.
It's all going down at Browning Amphitheater, which will serve as the backdrop for the live show. Tickets are free, but space is limited, so RSVPs are required. The first 300 guests to RSVP are guaranteed two free drinks, food and other perks. The show will be hosted by Klatt and will have some surprise guest appearances, contests and prizes.
"Buckeye fans have always been incredible to us at this program, so we wanted to come out there and bring our show to you," Klatt said Monday.
This will be Klatt's second live show on the road. Last year, he traveled to Madison, Wisconsin, ahead of the Badgers' game against Alabama and hosted a show with guests including former NFL stars Melvin Gordon and Mark Ingram.

'You know, I don't like backward hats. What's worse is a backward visor… That's a two-win team. I'm taking away four wins. That's awful. That's so bad,' Cowherd said. You're representing Bank of America. You're representing a $12 billion corporation. I think you gotta do better as a head coach than a visor backwards,' Cowherd said. This isn't Cowherd's first shot at Schottenheimer, either. Weeks ago, he predicted that the Cowboys would quickly regret the hire. 'Brian Schottenheimer is a one-and-done,' Cowherd said. 'Jerry will know by Thanksgiving he made a huge mistake. Forget the fact that Philadelphia and Washington will probably blow them out in the division twice. 'One and done' happens all the time now. 'I think Dallas is going to be humiliated on a lot of Sundays.' Hot takes are Cowherd's specialty, and this one fits the bill. But he's not entirely wrong that Schottenheimer was never a high-profile hire and wasn't on anyone else's radar. For a franchise already buried in controversy and scrutiny, even a backward visor is enough to fuel the fire.

View more Video Transcript I think there's a real opening for a guy like Jayden Blue because neither of these two guys, Gervonta or Miles Sanders, are passing game weapons. And this is going to be an offense that throws the hell out of the football. I would not be shocked if the Dallas Cowboys lead the NFL in pass attempts this year. Jayden Blue is a guy who is a mismatched weapon, can be used as a receiver out of the backfield. And just like bottom line, this is a great offense with a good offensive line. The interior is definitely a strength. We want to take shots on this running back. And if Jayden Blue, running back, 54, 128 overall, yes, when you get to the late rounds, that is the type of profile. should be targeting because again, Ray, if it doesn't work out, who gives a damn? You cut him and you move on. You've got a passing offense led by Dak Prescott, and I'm not getting into the playoff wins or any of that. Dallas Cowboys last year threw the ball 637 times between Dak and Cooper Rush, 637, OK? You've got C.D. Lamb and George Pickens who are going to command a ton of attention on the outside, and you have a really good tight end in Jake Ferguson kind of working the middle. The thing that this offense lacks, the thing that this offense lacks from either Miles Sanders or Javanta Williams is no speed. Neither of those two running backs bring an element of speed to this offense to truly unlock some of the things that Dak Prescott likes to do, right? Tony Pollard, Ezekiel Elliott, we've been chasing that next running back in Dallas for years and we were surprised when we got the 1000-yard seasons out of Rico Dado. Shout out to him. He's in, he's in Carolina now. But Jayden Blue's speed is, is different. He clocked over 22 MPH in college multiple times. It was a disappointment when he only ran a 4.37 at his pro and just disappointed, just not that fast. I thought he'd be a 4-2 guy. I think he came out and said he was gonna run a 4-1. But his ability in the screen game is outstanding, and he's the type of running back that I'm not gonna compare him to Devon Achan. I think Achan was a much better runner between the tackles, and Jayden Blue, but that speed, when he hits the open field, that second gear is different. Close

I have been preaching and pounding the table for Woody Marks since the pre-draft process. You're talking about one of the best, if not the best, pass-catching running backs from this 25 draft class. He played five years in college, breaking out his final season at USC with over 1000 yards on the ground, and 260-plus career receptions out of the backfield. Two hundred sixty. He's a running back with 260 receptions, and then the Texans, when they could have drafted a litany of running backs, they said, man, we're gonna trade a 26th pick, move up in the 4th round, and we're taking this guy. That's step one. Step two, this Texas offensive line is a damn mess. They're rebuilding the offensive line. Keyon Green's gone. Laremy Tunsil is gone. Their second-round pick from last year is not performing well at right tackle. They've got Antte Esserry out there on the right right tackle side. And then you got two rookie wide receivers, Christian Kirk and Nico Collins. Nick Chubb, no timetable for, uh, Joe Nixon, no timetable for return. Nick Chubb, I love his game. One of the best to do it during this time. The reports are not glowing about Nick Chubb's ability to hit the second level, and he's never, Matt, he's never been a pass-catching weapon for any team that he's played on. This is a game. Again, almost in a weird roundabout way that we talked about Ricky Pearce, by process of elimination, Woody Marks is going to factor into this offense on a team where the offensive line is sketchy, probably a lot of dump-offs from CJ Stroud. We know he was running around for his life last season. The best thing for Houston is for Nixon to get healthy, but if he's not, Woody Marks, four-minute offense, two-minute drill, passing down situations, and he's not a scrub between the tackles. He's no he's no Nick Chubb, he's no Joe Mixon, and he's never going to be a bell-cow rusher. But Matt, you know, like I know as well as our audience knows that target is worth a lot more than a rush attempt, and this guy is very proficient at doing that. 76 running backs ahead of Woody Marks, like, stop it, stop it.
