Al Hamra Greens is a wellness-centric community inspired by Scandinavian design and rooted in the philosophy of 'Reconnect with Living.' Dubai Silicon Oasis Opens MIT DesignX Dubai Accelerator Programme
Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the special economic zone for knowledge and innovation, and a member of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), has announced that registration is now open for the third cohort of the MIT DesignX Dubai Accelerator Programme (MDXB). Held in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Global Growth Hub, the programme will run from 20 October 2025 through 28 January 2026 at Dubai Silicon Oasis. The third cohort of the MIT DesignX Dubai Accelerator Programme will bring together 12 innovative teams focused on developing sustainable solutions to some of today's most pressing urban challenges. The programme will focus on five key sectors of strategic importance - real estate, design and architecture, transportation and logistics, sustainability, and health, each aligned with Dubai's long-term vision for smart, resilient and future-ready cities. This edition builds on the success of previous cohorts. In the first cohort, Othalo secured a USD 200,000 investment for their pioneering solution that transforms plastic waste into housing for underserved communities. In the second cohort, Theion was awarded AED 100,000 in recognition of their work in crystalline lithium-sulfur battery technology, a significant advancement in energy innovation. In addition, they received a year-long business setup at the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus (Dtec), the largest tech-focused coworking space of its kind in the MENA region and a key initiative of Dubai Silicon Oasis, providing them with a launchpad to scale their innovation within the UAE's growing digital economy. Ajman real estate sector transactions up 37% in H1 2025
Ajman's real estate sector recorded AED 12.4 billion in transactions during the first half of 2025, a 37% increase compared to the same period last year. Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, said the sector remains a key driver of the emirate's economic growth. He emphasised that the sector continues to deliver exceptional performance, reflecting Ajman's position as a leading investment destination and a promising real estate market. United Arab Bank Net Profit up by 50% for the First Half of 2025 United Arab Bank PJSC (UAB or 'the Bank') has announced its financial results for the six months ended 30th June 2025. UAB posted a net profit of AED 208 million for the first half of 2025, compared to AED 139 million for the same period last year, representing a 50% YoY increase. Total income rose by 24% YoY to AED 374 million. The increase in net profit reflects significant growth in total assets—up 11% from December 2024—and the Bank's disciplined approach to risk management. UAB's balance sheet was further strengthened through a continued focus on asset quality and capital resilience. These results underscore the Bank's solid momentum and strategic readiness for future growth. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Arab Bank, said: 'The Bank's exceptional financial performance in the first half of 2025 underscores the effectiveness of our strategic vision and the strength of our governance framework.
