The company will shortly be releasing its own internet search browser to tackle Google Chrome and other popular alternatives, in an attempt to further capitalize on various despite its recent actions against ad blocking browser extensions, retains a massive lead in the market. It's simple, has an intuitive user interface, and many people are too entrenched into the Google ecosystem to want to plans to compete by offering consumers a very different way of searching the internet, according to Reuters . Obviously, AI will play a pivotal role in this new experience. The idea is to provide users with answers in a chat box, instead of them having to open websites will also be able to follow up on the search results by asking the AI further questions, and getting concise answers in return. Such a solution, much like the ChatGPT app that currently exists, will also allow the user to get the AI to craft charts, lists, or other elements from the search the fact that an ongoing antitrust trial may force Google to stop being able to pay Apple to remain the default search engine in Safari only adds to the former's woes. However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows on OpenAI's part either, and this proposed browser is likely to face critique and starters, the entire premise further takes away traffic from websites, similar to Google's currently available AI-powered search. I think that it's very likely that there will be an uproar over this, and some users will boycott the new browser out of principle. There's also the possibility that some sites may ban the browser entirely, just like they block OpenAI's web crawlers from exploring their Google can very easily come up with something similar. The company's flagship AI model, Gemini, has improved drastically, and is pretty much on par with ChatGPT. As mentioned above, AI-powered Google search already exists, and it wouldn't be too difficult for the company to quickly make a similar these complications, I think that ChatGPT's soaring usage is enough proof to know that OpenAI's new browser will likely be a commercial success.

iPhone 17 Pro stars in new hands-on images

Vlad, 10 July 2025 The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, coming this September most likely, will bring with them a redesign of the rear, where there's going to be a massive camera island taking up the entire width of the device, Poco-style (in fairness, that's Poco from a while back, the Xiaomi sub-brand has since given up on such designs). Today a couple of new hands-on images have been leaked depicting what is probably an iPhone 17 Pro dummy unit. Regardless of the fact that there are no electronics inside, this should be 1:1 accurate size-wise and design-wise to the final product, so the images are very useful - we can take another look at that camera 'visor' thing. iPhone 17 Pro looks so good — Majin Bu (@MajinBuOfficial) July 10, 2025 The cameras themselves seem to be in the exact same positions as they were in the iPhone 16 Pro, they're just part of a much larger island now. Otherwise, this looks like a recent iPhone, there's not much more to say. It's been rumored to switch to an aluminum frame along with the iPhone 17 Pro Max, ending the years-long experiments with stainless steel and titanium. There will also apparently be a repositioned Apple logo on the back, now centered between the bottom of the phone and the bottom of the camera island in what is surely going to be quite a controversial design decision on the internet. Google tests improvement for popular Pixel lock screen feature

If one single feature explains why Pixel fans love their phones, it is probably the Now Playing feature, which appears in the lock screen and the Always-On Display on Pixel devices. Now Playing will automatically name the tune playing near the phone, and it also includes the name of the artist. If you buy a new Pixel, you'll need to turn it on by going to Settings > Sound & vibration > Now Playing > Toggle on "Identify songs playing nearby ." Now Playing uses a song database stored on Pixel handsets. Google says that no audio or background conversations are sent to the company. In addition, the music-recognition feature employs privacy-preserving analytics to preserve the privacy of users. Having owned both Pixel handsets, other Android phones, and iPhones, I can tell you that Now Playing works better than the Shazam app. What I love about the Pixel line is that it feels as though Google is always looking to improve the UX (User experience). Constantly updating apps to make them easier to use is one example of this, and the Now Playing feature is another. How many times have you heard a song and couldn't remember the title or the name of the artist who performed it? Or perhaps you're hearing a song for the first time, love it, and want to know more about the tune so you can hear it again? I guess if I had to pick one word for what Google offers to users with the Pixel line, it would be convenience . The update for Now Playing will allow a Pixel user to see album art in a search bar. | Image credit-Android Authority Tapping on the name of the song listed by Now Playing takes you to your Now Playing history page, which lists the songs that the feature has recently heard in the background. But tapping on the song in Now Playing could soon show you something else. Android Authority recently checked out an Android System Intelligence update and found that tapping the song in Now Playing, instead of taking you to your Now Playing history, brings up a bar with the song title and artist name in the middle and the album art on the left. Current look of Now Playing on the left with Now Playing history on the right. | Image credit-PhoneArena You can visit your favorites list with a tap on the right side of the bar and easily add or delete a song from that list with a single tap. And you can still get to your Now Playing history with a double tap. This is something that Google is working on, although there is no estimate when it might appear on your Pixel device.
