For the Friday ceremony, Natalia Bryant wore a cream-colored, long-sleeve, high-neck minidress set off by a custom cardinal-and-gold stole, which featured her father's sheath logo and acknowledged her cum laude status and membership in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. On the back of the neck, 'Thank You Mom & Dad' was embroidered on the stole.
Natalia Bryant was only 17 years old when her dad Kobe, 41, and sister Gianna,13, died on a foggy Sunday in January 2020 as the helicopter they were riding in crashed into a Calabasas hillside. Sister Bianka was 3 years old and sister Capri was 7 months old.

Atlanta Dream star Allisha Gray has an interesting HBCU connection

The post Atlanta Dream star Allisha Gray has an interesting HBCU connection appeared first on ClutchPoints. Atlanta Dream star Allisha Gray has enjoyed an incredible season, earning her a spot in last week's All-Star Game, a special moment she shared with her sister. Gray's sister Ashley was among several other members of Allisha's family to travel to Indianapolis to see her partake in the All-Star festivities. Via her father and sister, Gray shares a very deep HBCU connection. Ashley Gray is a basketball player at Alabama State University. She's entering her senior season with the Hornets, a team that she committed to in November 2021. Allisha was in attendance when Ashley made her commitment and posted about it on her Instagram page. 'Congrats to my Lil sis for signing with Alabama State today for basketball!! I'm so proud of you! Love you,' she said on her Instagram account. Ashley was a standout in high school. She earned several honors, including being named First-Team All-State and scoring 1,000 career points. Fittingly, she won the Allisha Gray MVP Award. She's been a contributor to the Lady Hornets team throughout her time with the team, logging nine starts last season. But Ashley isn't the only HBCU alumnus in the Gray family. Her dad, Allen Gray, is an alumnus of West Virginia State University. While at the institution, he ran track and played basketball while working toward his degree. In an interview with The Next Hoops, Gray spoke about how her family has been supportive of her WNBA journey. 'They're going to get on that road for every home game,' she said. 'That's been one of my favorite things about playing in Atlanta. Knowing I can also drive home to see them on off days is everything, especially the home-cooked meals.' Being able to play for your home state team and get the support from your family is certainly a blessing that has helped Gray become one of the best players in the league. She's currently averaging a career high 18.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists for a Dream team that added massive talent to it's roster and looks to enter themselves amongst the contenders in the WNBA. Fever make ‘Stranger Things' declaration after downing Aces

The post Fever make 'Stranger Things' declaration after downing Aces appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Indiana Fever (13-12) have been haunted by the unexplainable throughout 2025, as star guard Caitlin Clark has missed half the season with quadriceps and groin injuries. Amid the constant fight to stay above .500, they might as well start embracing their dark side. While wearing jerseys inspired by 'Stranger Things,' Indy secured an 80-70 win versus the Las Vegas Aces (12-12) on Thursday night. Much like 'The Party,' the Fever had to grind their way through an ugly situation, overcoming a 40.8 percent shooting effort and limited bench production (only four points, all of which came from Sydney Colson) to successfully defend their home court. Natasha Howard scored 18 points on efficient 6-of-9 shooting and added 13 rebounds and three steals. Aliyah Boston notched a double-double in her own right. Despite a poor mark from the field, Indiana shot a molten-hot 47.8 percent from 3-point range (11-of-23). Kelsey Mitchell, Sophie Cunningham and Aari McDonald all knocked down three treys each. The team also showed up defensively, holding reigning MVP A'ja Wilson to 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting and a modest six boards. All of this seemingly explains why the Fever were able to pull out the victory after two straight losses, but maybe there were other forces at work. The squad's social media account is suggesting as much. '1-0 in the Stranger Things jerseys,' Indy posted on Instagram after the game. Fever-Stranger Things collaboration could be a nice mood-changer for team The Netflix phenomenon, which is set to release its final season starting in November, takes place in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana during the 1980s. This is not the first time the Fever have paid homage to the mega hit, donning similar uniforms in 2021. Given the adversity this group has faced this season, any morale boost is welcome. The new attire appeared to have a unifying effect on this night, at least. There is currently no timetable for Caitlin Clark's return, so it is imperative that this team embodies both chemistry and tenacity moving forward. The Fever presently sit in sixth place in the WNBA standings. They travel to the Windy City to battle the Chicago Sky on Sunday afternoon. The players and fans will have to wait until a July 30 face-off with the Phoenix Mercury to see the 'Stranger Things' look once again.
