Saudi German Health kicks off ops at 21 additional clinics in Dammam
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that this expansion is part of its strategic plan to enhance specialized services and meet the growing demand for advanced healthcare in the Eastern Province.
It indicated that the expansion will have a positive financial impact its financial and operational performance, including an increase in revenues by providing highly specialized services, accommodating a larger number of patients, and expanding the range of services offered. This is in addition to improved operational efficiency by maximizing the use of existing infrastructure and specialized medical staff, and enhanced patient experience and upgraded quality of care.
The company also reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to developing its medical services in line with the highest standards, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to bolster the efficiency and accessibility of healthcare services.

Container handling leaps 19% to 697,000 TEUs in June: MAWANI
Saudi ports reported an 18.6% leap in cargo throughput tonnage to 696,800 tons in June 2025, compared to 587,300 tons in the same period a year ago. In a statement, the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) said outbound containers surged by 35.9% to 165,000 in June, from 121,400 in the prior-year period. The number of inbound containers also increased by 10.6% to 263,300, compared to 237,800 in June 2024. Transshipment containers were up 17.79% to 268,600, compared to 228,000 TEUs a year earlier. The general cargo reached 922,300 tons in June, while solid bulk cargo and liquid bulk cargo reached 4.2 million and 16.3 million tons, respectively. Ports received 959,200 livestock heads for the same month, down 47.3% compared to 1.8 million in the same month of 2024. The maritime traffic saw a rise of 7.5% year-on-year (YoY) to 1,039 ships in June. The number of passengers also jumped 42.3% to 78,700 last month, compared to 55,300 last year. Meanwhile, the number of cars dropped by 25.4% YoY to 75,400 for the same month. Non-Saudi property ownership law to take effect in 2026: Al-Hogail
Majid Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, said the new law regulating property ownership by non-Saudis aims to boost the real estate sector and attract foreign direct investments to support housing supply across the Kingdom. Al-Hogail, who is also Chairman of the Real Estate General Authority (REGA), said the new law safeguards citizen interests through introducing mechanisms to regulate the market and ensure real estate balance. It allows non-Saudis to own property within specific geographic zones, most notably Riyadh and Jeddah, while applying special conditions for Makkah and Madinah. REGA will be responsible for defining the approved zones for non-Saudi ownership and preparing the executive regulations for the law, which will be published for public consultation on the Istitlaa platform within 180 days. The law, scheduled to go into effect in January 2026, aligns with the regulations governing premium residency and existing rules that allow GCC nationals to own property for residential or investment purposes.

Massacres at aid distributions overwhelm Gaza health system
GAZA CITY: The International Committee of the Red Cross said on Tuesday that a 'sharp surge' in deaths and injuries in incidents around aid distribution sites in Gaza is pushing the territory's already stretched health system past its capacity. The ICRC said in a statement that its field hospital in south Gaza recorded 200 deaths since the new aid distribution sites were launched in late May. The facility also treated more than 2,200 'weapon-wounded patients, most of them across more than 21 separate mass casualty events,' it added. 'Over the past month, a sharp surge in mass casualty incidents linked to aid distribution sites has overwhelmed Gaza's shattered health care system,' the ICRC said. 'The scale and frequency of these incidents are without precedent,' it said, adding that its field hospital had treated more patients since late May than 'in all mass casualty events during the entire previous year.' To cope with the flow of wounded, ICRC said that all its staff were now contributing to the emergency response effort. 'Physiotherapists support nurses, cleaning and dressing wounds and taking vitals. Cleaners now serve as orderlies, carrying stretchers wherever they are needed. Midwives have stepped into palliative care,' it added. An officially private effort, the US- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation began operations on May 26 after Israel halted supplies into the Gaza Strip for more than two months, sparking warnings of imminent famine. GHF operations have been marred by chaotic scenes and near-daily reports of Israeli forces firing on people waiting to collect rations. More than 500 people have been killed while waiting to access rations from its distribution sites, the UN Human Rights Office said on Friday. The GHF has denied that fatal shootings have occurred in the immediate vicinity of its aid points. Gaza's health system has been at a point of near collapse for months, with nearly all hospitals and health facilities either out of service or only partly functional. Israel's drastic restrictions on the entry of goods and aid into Gaza since the start of the war 21 months ago has caused shortages of everything, including medicine, medical supplies, and fuel, which hospitals rely on to power their generators.
