Schumacher confirms he's in talks with future F1 team Cadillac
Mick Schumacher has confirmed he's in talks with the future Cadillac team as he hopes for a return to Formula One.
"The communication has been very positive so far," Schumacher told the Brazilian edition of the motorsport.com news portal.

The son of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher was in Brazil last weekend at the World Endurance Championship with his Alpine team.
Cadillac is joining the top motorsport series in 2026 as an 11th team and Mick Schumacher believes the American carmaker have "an unbelievable project" and "a great history."
There's been much speculation about who will take the two Cadillac seats. Team principal Graeme Lowdon has previously confirmed that Schumacher is among the candidates.
"It's an honour to be part of it, to negotiate with them, and a great position to be in," Schumacher said.

He made his F1 debut in 2021 with Haas and raced for the US team until 2022, but didn't have his contract extended.
According to media reports, former Red Bull driver Sergio Perez is expected to be announced as one of the Cadillac drivers for 2026. Mercedes reserve driver Valtteri Bottas is another top candidate.

All told, he had three runner-up finishes and 12 top-5s, a crushing run of near-misses. Late in his career, he opted to jump to LIV Golf, and effectively vanished from the golf scene just as he was poised to become a key figure in the European Ryder Cup firmament. At least he earned one more day in the spotlight ... and maybe a few more.

Former Eagles LB Bryan Braman passes away at age 38
Former Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Bryan Braman passed away on Thursday after seeking treatment this year for a rare, aggressive form of cancer, according to his agent. He was 38. KPRC in Houston was informed by Braman's agent, Sean Stellato, that the linebacker was "in the fight of his life." J.J. Watt, a teammate of his when they both played for the Houston Texans, donated $10,000 as a show of support. More recently, former Eagles star and FS1 mainstay Emmanuel Acho spoke up after hearing the news. Braman, a former 2011 undrafted rookie free agent, spent the first three years of his career with the Houston Texans. After that, he landed in Philadelphia for the first of two stints with the Birds. According to Braman's GoFundMe page, one set up by his friend, William Jones, the former Eagle underwent multiple "CAR-T cell reprogramming treatment programs in Seattle." Inside the Sauce Gardner deal
The Jets and Sauce Gardner have worked out a new deal. On the surface, it's the best deal ever signed by an NFL cornerback. At a deeper level, it's open to interpretation. First, the details. Here they are, per a source with knowledge of the terms: 1. For Stingley, the total guarantee is $89 million, with $48 million fully guaranteed at signing, $68 million fully guaranteed by 2026, and the full $89 million vesting by 2027. For Gardner, the total guarantee is $85.65 million, with $40.5 million fully guaranteed at signing, $65.45 million fully guaranteed by 2026, and the full $85.65 million vesting by 2027. Stingley also has better cash flow in the early years, with $6 million more in 2026 and $7.3 million more through 2027. One last point. Stingley pushed the bar up by $5 million per year, over Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn. Gardner has nudged it by only $100,000 per year. It's still a great deal for Gardner, who had a down year in 2024. The new regime easily could have waited until 2026 to re-do the deal. Of course, if/when Gardner had gotten back to his form of 2022-23, it would have cost a lot more if they had opted to kick the can for a year.
