Upcoming Stock Splits This Week (July 21 to July 25)

These are the upcoming stock splits for the week of July 21 to July 25 on TipRanks' Stock Splits Calendar. A stock split is a corporate move that increases the number of outstanding shares by issuing more to existing shareholders, all while keeping the company's total market value unchanged. This leads to a lower share price, making the stock more accessible and often more appealing to retail investors. Elevate Your Investing Strategy: Take advantage of TipRanks Premium at 50% off! Instead of dividing shares, they consolidate them, reducing the share count and boosting the price per share. While the market cap stays the same, this move is typically aimed at meeting minimum price requirements to maintain exchange listings, like Nasdaq's threshold, and avoid delisting. Whether the goal is to attract retail interest or preserve listing status, these corporate maneuvers can send important signals – and smart traders are always watching. Let's take a look at the upcoming stock splits for the week. Invo Fertility (IVF) – Invo Fertility, known for its innovative fertility treatments and its unique INVOcell device, is taking steps to stay in line with Nasdaq's listing requirements. On July 17, the company announced a 1-for-3 reverse stock split to help boost its share price and maintain compliance with the exchange's minimum bid rule. The split will take effect on July 21. Globavend Holdings (GVH) – Australia-based Globavend Holdings offers cross-border logistics services to e-commerce retailers, focusing on last-mile delivery and freight forwarding. On July 17, the company announced a 1-for-200 reverse stock split of its ordinary shares to increase its share price and meet Nasdaq's continued listing standards. GVH stock is expected to begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on July 21. Top Wealth Group Holding (TWG) – Hong Kong-based Top Wealth Group is engaged in environmental consulting, caviar production, and waste treatment services. On July 17, the company announced a 1-for-90 reverse stock split of its ordinary shares to regain compliance with Nasdaq's $1 minimum bid price rule and support its pending merger with Jilin Xiuzheng Agriculture & Animal Husbandry. TWG stock is expected to begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on July 21. CNS Pharmaceuticals (CNSP) – CNS Pharmaceuticals is a biotechnology company focused on developing anticancer drugs for primary and metastatic cancers of the brain and central nervous system. On July 15, the company announced a 1-for-12 reverse stock split of its common shares to comply with Nasdaq's minimum bid requirement. CNSP stock is expected to begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on July 22. Generation Bio (GBIO) – Focused on tackling rare and common genetic diseases, Generation Bio is developing next-gen non-viral gene therapies using its own closed-ended DNA platform. On July 18, the company announced a 1-for-10 reverse stock split to boost its share price and stay in compliance with Nasdaq listing rules. GBIO shares will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis starting July 22. Premium Catering Holdings (PC) – Serving up large-scale halal meals across Asia, Premium Catering Holdings is a key player in feeding construction crews and corporate events alike. On July 17, the Hong Kong-based company announced a 1-for-9 reverse stock split of its ordinary shares, a move aimed at boosting its share price and staying in line with Nasdaq's listing standards. PC stock is set to start trading on a split-adjusted basis on July 22.

The stock market is being led by a new group of winners

For a while, the S&P 500's returns have been dominated by a select group of technology kingpins known as the magnificent seven. Those seven stocks, Alphabet, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta Platforms, Nvidia, and Tesla, powered the market higher due to massive spending and demand growth for artificial intelligence training and inference. Related: History suggests stocks could have more upside, says analyst They remain key cogs in the S&P 500's performance, but more recently, a new basket of stocks is delivering big returns, potentially signaling the early days of a regime change. Unlike the Mag 7, the new leaders are far less tied to AI. Sure, names like Palantir and Nvidia remain big winners, but the broader group of stocks delivering eye-popping returns spans more industries, including finance and, yes, even space. It's been a tale of two markets this year. First, stocks took a drubbing beginning in February when President Trump launched his trade war, instituting 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico. Related: Veteran fund manager who predicted Nvidia stock rally reboots forecast on China The White House followed that up with more tariffs, often higher than Wall Street and businesses expected, including a baseline 10% tariff on all imports and a 25% tariff on autos. Altogether, the tariff tit-for-tat took a big toll on stocks, causing the S&P 500 to fall by 19%-nearly into bear market territory-and the Nasdaq Composite to tumble about 24% through early April. Then, everything changed. President Trump paused most reciprocal tariffs on April 9, providing leeway for trade deals that could settle tariffs at more reasonable levels. The glimmer of hope for avoiding a worst-case scenario of high tariffs sparking inflation and sending the economy into a tailspin marked a bottom for stocks, kicking off a record-setting rally. The S&P 500 has marched 24% higher while the Nasdaq has rallied by over 30% as more people have lowered their forward inflation expectations. While there's some concerning economic data on jobs and the economy, market gains suggest we'll sidestep an economic reckoning, providing upside to revenue and earnings growth. By now, most investors are familiar with market darlings Nvidia and Palantir, two of the most prominent AI players. Given its dominance in high-end AI semiconductor chips and optimization software, Nvidia is the de facto Goliath in AI network infrastructure. Palantir has become a go-to for securely developing AI apps for government and corporations. Related: Billionaire Ackman has one-word message on stock market Those stocks have been top performers over the past few months, rising 82% and 107% from their early April lows. But other big-cap technology companies haven't performed nearly as well. Alphabet and Apple are up 28% and 23%, respectively. Solid. But not game-changing. You could have bought the Nasdaq 100 and done much better. Instead, a new set of stock market darlings has been outpacing the market, including space technology leader Rocket Lab (RKLB) and fintech leader SoFi Technologies (SOFI) . Crypto leader Coinbase (COIN) has also been a star. These three stocks are up 214%, 130%, and 176%, respectively, from their April lows. Moreover, to understand just how good the performance of this new basket of leaders has been, you need look no further than the VanEck Social Sentiment ETF (BUZZ) . The BUZZ ETF invests in "75 large cap U.S. stocks which exhibit the highest degree of positive investor sentiment and bullish perception based on content aggregated from online sources including social media, news articles, blog posts and other alternative datasets," according to VanEck. In short, it attempts to keep its finger on the pulse of the most interesting stocks. So far, that strategy is working. The BUZZ ETF gained 36% in the second quarter and is up 22% year-to-date through June. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 is up 11% and 6%. It's up 66% since early April, and month-to-date through July 18, it's gained 8% versus a 2% return for the Nasdaq. More on next-generation stocks: Veteran trader has blunt words for SoFi's latest moveSpace stocks soar as Elon Musk and Donald Trump argueIs quantum computing the next big thing in stocks? "Look at how poorly the QQQs have done relative to BUZZ since April. Think about this, we consider the QQQs to be the pinnacle of technology stocks, yet they practically look like the healthcare stocks relative to the S&P when compared to BUZZ," wrote long-time technical analyst Helene Meisler on TheStreet Pro. It's not just Rocket Lab, Coinbase, and SoFi powering the ETF, either. Yes, those are the three largest holdings in BUZZ, but AST SpaceMobile and Robinhood (HOOD) are number four and five, and they've been up 186% and 219% since early April. Nvidia and Palantir are only BUZZ's 10th and 11th biggest holdings, so while their gains are substantial, they're not the ones behind the ETF's significant outperformance. Does the rise of Rocket Lab, thanks to a steady stream of revenue growth from shooting satellites into the sky, or SoFI, which is increasingly disrupting traditional banking, signal the rise of a new guard, or is it just a temporary speculative frenzy? "I was taught that corrections are the market's way of changing leadership," wrote Meisler. "Was the spring plunge the market's way of changing leadership? Or is this just speculation run amok? If you go back to that ratio chart, it's a trend that has been in place for at least a year." Of course, stocks don't go up in a straight line, and some backfilling of gains for this new group of winners is to be expected. Still, one year is a pretty long period for this ETF and its biggest components to outpace the broader market. Todd Campbell owns Rocket Lab, SoFi Technologies, Nvidia, and Palantir. Is Lucid's Reverse Stock Split a Sign of Desperation?

Key Points Lucid announced a preliminary filing for a reverse stock split. Typically, reverse stock splits are done by companies in financial distress. Lucid has no immediate threat of being delisted. 10 stocks we like better than Lucid Group › While all the headlines screamed about Uber Technologies' (NYSE: UBER) partnership with Lucid Motors (NASDAQ: LCID) and Nuro, an autonomous driving technology start-up, and the multimillion-dollar investment between them, there was a separate development that nearly everyone overlooked: a potential reverse stock split. Let's take a look at what exactly a reverse stock split does, what it doesn't do, and what it means for Lucid investors going forward. Is this a desperate move? Fair or foul? EV maker Lucid announced Thursday that it filed a preliminary proxy statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding a special stockholders' meeting to authorize the board of directors to complete a reverse stock split of the company's Class A common stock at a ratio of 1-for-10 (1:10). Let's break this development down into what it means, and what Lucid hopes to achieve with its potential reverse stock split. A 1-for-10 reverse stock split simply means Lucid will reduce its outstanding shares by a factor of 10, essentially combining 10 old shares into one new share. The stock price will then be multiplied by 10. In the simplest example, a company with 100 shares with a $1 stock price will reverse split into 10 shares, valued at $10 per share. It's important to note what this doesn't do, which is change the value of what investors own. While the stock price changes, proportionally to the reduction in the number of shares, the company's market capitalization will remain the same, as will the investors' voting power and position value. Now to the question on investors' minds: Is this a sign of desperation? Not necessarily, because there are a few reasons that can drive a reverse stock split. It's true that typically a reverse stock split is done by a company in danger of being delisted from major exchanges such as the NYSE or Nasdaq -- both require companies to maintain a minimum share price of $1.00. If a company's stock price falls below that threshold for 30 consecutive trading days, it receives a deficiency notice and is given a set period to raise its price -- perfect for a reverse stock split. But as we know, Lucid is currently trading at roughly $3.15 per share, and its 52-week low was $1.93 per share. While that's a little close for comfort, especially given the gloomy electric vehicle market currently mitigating tariff impacts, it's not in immediate danger of being delisted. There is also potential upside for Lucid's potential reverse stock split, as many companies try to push the price of their stock higher to entice big institutional investors. Many institutional investors and mutual funds have policies against owning positions in a stock with a price below a minimum value -- raising the price could enable more large investors to jump into the company's stock, pushing it higher. This is not what typically happens, but Lucid's goal is to make its stock more attractive to more investors. What it all means At the end of the day, the market generally views a reverse stock split negatively. It's often a company in financial distress with a falling stock price and potential to be delisted -- not qualities of a great investment. Lucid is still burning through tons of cash, it's still slowly accelerating deliveries -- although consistently, as it's turned in seven straight quarters of higher deliveries -- and much of its future hinges on the success of its new electric Gravity SUV and its upcoming midsize platform that will underpin at least three more electric SUVs. Currently, Lucid has the liquidity to fund operations flawlessly through the second half of 2026, and while the market doesn't tend to favor reverse stock splits, this shouldn't raise many red flags for Lucid investors that they weren't already aware of. Lucid is simply a high-risk, high-reward stock, and big swings in its price are inevitable. Invest accordingly. Do the experts think Lucid Group is a buy right now?
